One of the saddest scenes ever is when ragnar is sailing for the second time to france and glances over to a nearby shore and has an illusion that’s it’s his old farm. Seeing Lagertha, boy bjorn, athlestan and gyda just smiling at him and ragnar broken really makes me legit cry

This was amazing. I loved Bjorn from the first scene to his last. But for me, he was always his mother's son more than he was Ragnar's. I've always seen more of Lagertha in him than I ever saw Ragnar. He went out a legend. Such a beautiful, moving scene.

Just to be clear Bjorn was son of Ragnar Lodbrok king of the danes, as a son of the king he was forced/sent away from his home to reinforce the king's authority later becomming king of sweden. so no he was'nt the true king of norway.

The fact that a farmer who became earl who became king didn't even want the throne in the first place, he just wanted to travel west, became the most influential person during his generation, and his son, who didn't even really want the title, became the one who united all of Norway

Lagertha partnered with a few other men, that's how she became an Earl after all, and at least one woman in the years after she left Ragnar. @Random Dude I n Asgard which is roughly means Viking Heaven. Valhalla is the Hall of champions where all the great warriors who died in battle are gathered and they feasting and drinking and fighting every day.
the weight of his massive iron ballz was too much for the Walkirie.
One of those moments when a scene actually is more then the show itself. This for me was part of the reason I loved the show, and Bjorn Ironside was one of the biggest reasons I enjoy it. This end is the only way he could go.

Easily one of the best scenes made for television. Bjorn's story throughout Vikings was the best, rivalling Ragnar's.
I wish there were more episodes of Bjorn's adventures in the Mediterranean etc, those were exciting episodes but not sure how accurate the history is behind them.

Fun fact:
The real Bjorn Ironside likely died of old age but is still regarded as one of the greatest viking kings of all time.
this show took soooooo many liberties, thats the thing that kind of ruined it for me.
His last raid was in the Mediterranean, they sacked a lot of places and once they had lost enough men he returned to Sweden with all the treasures they collected. He died old and rich.
Also he was one of Aslaugs sons.

He was first king of kings of sweden and prety much the first leader of sweden as we know it today (my girlfriend, who is half swedish says that her grandfather told her stories about bjorn ironside, whom he called the father of sweden) So in the real world history bjorn was defenitly greater than ragnar

Ivar looking so small in his carriage as he whips his horse and yells "retreat" is just great directing, filming, editing, and acting. The whole package.
Vikings has always nailed the music and this one was just the best of the best. Epic and heroic, yet also intriguing and sad. Also I loved that Hvisterk made the same speech as Ragnar made before he died for Bjorn. Simply an amazing episode I have already watched it like ten times, worthy of this amazing series!!
