He took a couple of electric guitar lessons and a couple of piano lessons. His father left a piano at home when his parents divorced. He started playing alone as a child. The rest is hours and hours practising piano, guitar, bass and drums. He recorded his first albums completely on his own. He breathed music, dreamed music, sweated music...
Those were all Prince compositions. The entire concert that this is taken from is available to watch on TH-cam, it's amazing. Prince's father was a jazz pianist and Prince started playing piano when he was a very small child, 3-4 years old, his first instrument. He started with guitar at perhaps 12 years old , then bass and drums and so on.
He was a genius. Least we not forgot he also was a fantastic songwriter. He wrote his stuff, he voice ranged from baritone to falsetto, his dancing was fantastic and in 4 inch heels plus he played 20 or more instruments. There was no other like him. 💜
Great reaction. I highly suggest his live performance of "America'. It is Prince in Beastmode. You also get him playing another instrument. Also, his performances of "Creep" and "Bambi" are pretty amazing.
You should go back and listen to "Raspberry Beret" here on piano, then react to the video of the song to hear it the way it was recorded in the studio. it was a major pop hit for Prince in 1985.
@@jjjones8609 No, this is the end of act 1 just before the interlude. Halfway through the show. I saw this live in 3 countries, and seriously can not count how many times I've watched it on DVD.
A big thank you to JJLovesPrince for the push to continue on Prince's journey and for showing a side of Prince I knew nothing about

The embodiment of music

Wow, very cool. And he just kept learning instruments from there

Incredibly unique
Yes all the songs were Prince songs and this was his lovesexy concert. Loved your reaction, Prince was not just a "pop" star. 🤗
No he definitely wasn't. That's what I always thought he was growing up since I never listened to him. I was definitely not right about that at all
@@AceofBadeReacts Piano was his 1st instrument he learned to play as a young child. Self taught.

Most tickets were sold in the Netherlands. Majority of the crowd was Dutch. I was there. Great times.
That's really cool
Thanks for reacting to this one. 💜💜💜
Thank you for the suggestion! This was awesome!
Raspberry Beret was a big hit on the Pop charts.

Those have been added to the list
