Hi ! I actually am from Nice in France. I just wanted to say that there are no potatoes or green beans in the nicoise salad. Originally, it was a meal for very poor people from the south and it was only made with tomatoes, salad, and anchovy and seasoned with olive oil, salt and pepper. Then the tuna was added, as well as the olives and the eggs. But for nissarts (people from Nice since several generations), it's considered a sacrilege to add potatoes or beans since the original recipe doesn't include starchy food. Just wanted to mention the history of a meal I know by heart and really represent a lot to me and my family, no offense intended !
It's still a very good interpretation, thanks for your hard work, I really enjoy watching your video, you are such a talented men ! Sorry for the possible mistakes, since french is my first language.
Love from France ! Et bon appétit !
You have such a way with preparing food in a simple and almost elegant fashion. I dont know, I have fun just watching you cook in your videos while you narrate the directions. No nonsense needed, no catch phrase screamed out loud and just a nice a background music to pull in the audience. YUM YUM YUM i like fish dishes!
I think you and Rachel should try it together every video
Oh my word this is amazing. And I love the song. Plz don't stop cooking
Now I finally get the white chicks joke😁😁
I was eating tuna when this popped up in my subscription box! I loooove tuna and will have to give this a try. Thanks Byron!
You are literally my baking and cooking role model!
you really make the food looks easy, simple, and elegant. likes your way of presentation.
Amazing video. Thanks for sharing:)
That little bowl for the egg was so cute ! Haha
This is become one of my top channels to watch!
Tuna is that type of fish where you can eat it raw. Especially the cut he bought, slightly under the belly or tail section ( I think it's called Oca-row in Japanese). It's one of the fastest fish in the ocean, I would have pressed some lavender flowers along with a melange of coloured pepper corns. But this one looked delicious.
Yummy, yum
My favourite salad, done my favourite way. Great Job!!
Looks so fresh and delicious!
Thats got to be the cutest whisk Ive ever seen! Lol looks delish and refreshing!

Watching it while I'm eating my kimchi Jjigae!! This looks much healthier though! :-)
Omg looks amazing. Can you please do a video explaining how to chose meat? Or in this case tuna.
Anything topped with sliced hard boiled egg is great
i just love the fact that u eat after cooking....a sight to behold
That looks perf yum yum
yummmm :) this is the only time I've liked olives in anything. I remember eating an adaptation of this dish, but instead of seared tuna it was a tuna carpaccio underneath. Simple and delicious!
I want to cry. The portions are so small Omg.
Perfect looking salad and Chef !!! You got another subscriber...

Looks delicious. Could you please do a sushi week sometime? Love your vids:)
like my tuna not quite so raw, but, definitely marked this as a fave to make when Minnesota is warm enough for salads....
You have to make sure the fish is sashimi grade

Please do "QUINOA WEEK" please!
Yo Byron! Can you make like a homemade pork burger? Have been craving for one and not been able to find a PERFECT recipe :/ thanks!
I thought of white chicks when he made this
Question: would it be possible to switch the green leaves? I ask as mot of the Nicoise salad recipes I've seen (and tried) have all been baby spinach.
Can you do a gluten free week??
0:43 voice Crack xD
Let the nightly cravings begin...
Oh god, ya.... *sigh*
Nikoi salad loooool
Looks delicious Byron! Where can you get those little squeeze bottles you use for your olive oil? Those look pretty convenient.
Either from restaurant supply stores or you can get applicator bottles that are used for hair coloring.
Thanks, that's a good idea!
Does any tuna loin work? Or is there a particular grade to look for?
I want to see you in master chef !!!!
I will make
That was the most perfect hard boiled egg I've ever seen. I'm doing something wrong...lol.

Do you have any tips on buying tuna loin?

Vegetable Frittata Recipe, Please!
VOICE CRACK haha one in a couple videos that'll happen xD. nice food ! looks awesome
He is an amazing cook don't u agree
ilove tuna💋❤❤❤❤
Yuuuuuuuuuum!
You belong on master chef
What u cook looks so amazing and mouth watering. so ur the next gordon ramsay or bobby flay?
will this work with alaskan wild salmon (sushi grade)?
It's STILL RAWW
Well, it is medium rare.
Tran Minh It's supposed to be. Cooking tuna all the way through, ESPECIALLY sushi-grade tuna, ruins the flavor and texture.
I wanted to ask I am not allowed to drink alcohol.. Is sherry vinegar, white wine and red wine vinegar actually alcohol?
Love that coating and the colours of the salad. Milk frother- genius-. I think is crucial for a salad to be colourful and to seem "crunchy"... but the fish... too raw and unsafe for me.
Love to watch you using olives from my village, Kalamata :D If only I could sent you some freshly picked from our olive trees
You cook food for safety to kill bacteria. Only the outside of the loin has been exposed to the outside world. This is as safe as rare steak is.
It looks delicious. But he said if I recall correctly that he wanted medium rare and it looks pretty raw
Reading the title reminded me of the movie White Chicks
Haha I thought I was the only one to remember that x
Haha I thought I was the only one to remember that x
jade anthem If he said a yo mama joke I would have died
Can you have this as a small dinner?
I subscribed
0:43 haha your voice cracked :P
wow very nice. can i use a frozen red tuna?
I’ve used frozen tuna for my nicoise, thaw if first and cook it rare.
Would love to see a chicken week
I read the title and immediately thought of White Chicks xD
