  • An awards ceremony for several sheriff’s deputies turned into a complete embarrassment for one of them, as an official publicly shamed the officer. Deputy John Gallardo received a Deputy of the Month award at the Tamarac City Commission in Florida. But shortly after photos were taken, City Commissioner Mike Gelin called Gallardo to the front of the room and confronted him about a 2015 incident. “You don’t deserve to be here,” Gelin told Gallardo. #InsideEdition

      ...and CHARGED. Everyone always says a bad cop needs to be "fired". Firing does nothing. They just happily and while carefree apply to another police department to do more heinous things we allowed them to get away with the first time. When they commit crimes, they need to be charged and put in prison. Qualified Immunity needs to be abolished so we can hold the officers personally liable when they commit crimes against us.

    I had a Broward County Sheriffs Officer lie on a police report one time when I got into an accident. He knew the person that rear ended me and he was trying to say that the accident was my fault even though I was rear ended at a stop sign. I had to get a lawyer to get it all sorted out.

    I spent 17 hours In jail on a disorderly conduct charge because I told the officer how wrong and moronic he was being. He couldn’t charge me with what he originally was trying to get me for so he charged me for disorderly. That 17 hours in jail was well worth what I got to say to his face.

    Think the fact he had a flash back when confronted with this guys presence, proves how deeply wrongful treatment affects us. I cannot imagine how helpless he must have felt at the time. Truly glad he had the evidence to prove his innocence, but wondering if he was compensated, or more importantly offered an apology.....
    He remained a good man inspite of the experience!

Just because your a police officer or any law enforcement and just because you have a badge and a gun that doesn't give any law enforcement to abuse their power. Police officers and Law Enforcement officers follow the same laws as any other standard citizen, being a cop doesn't mean you have no rules and don't have to follow any laws because again they have to follow the same regulations as Any. Other. Standard. Citizen period.

He just ain't man enough to talk to that officer and settle their grudge personally and privately. As a person whose authority is higher than the police officer, he just stooped down to his level.
