Michael was at this party and I hadn’t seen him for a while and the first thing he said to me was, ‘I’ll never forget the handshake’.”
Legend is a word that shouldn’t be overused but Barry is a legend of comedy 😊
this is why barry is so good. He s simply being what Australian politicians are . No need to get offensive .the man is incredible. what a gravy train they are on. He is so funny cause its who we aussies are really like.

RIP Barry Humphries .. a unique star .. Sir Les was my favourite.
I remember him telling a story once about him emptying a can of mixed vegetable salad on the pavement, then eating it .. people thought he was eating vomit
An absolute breath of fresh air.....well not exactly FRESH. Up there with the funniest comics EVER.
What a tremendous gift this man has,he is so good because he knows all of us so well.
Barry in the 50s recorded a 20 minute monologue where all he did was list household brands, of toothpaste, tomato sauce, detergents, lollies, and on and on. It was inspired comedy but also a classic record of the times.
His film idea " piss up on Hanging Rock..." nearly made me wet myself, he's brilliant! And 'Parky' was good too
Piss up on Hanging Rock would have won an Oscar back then ,not today with the woke brigade and PC lot.
True comedy at it's very best.. Always loved Sir Les!
