Was watching old Dame Edna just a few weeks before he passed and I was so shocked. He was brilliant and I loved Dame Edna and Les Patterson. Brilliant! Thank God for giving us Barry Humphries!!!!
As an American, I wish we had a Barry Humphries. We don't....period. Not for 30 years. His wit, intelligence, and utter disregard for political correctness makes him a King among everyone. We have a few brave comedic types in the US who have been cancelled. When Benny Hill program came to the US around 1980, both of my grandmothers and mother were total fans..and my elderly mother loves Les! They were/are badass women who understood the undertones of what was happening. I feel no guilt of every last bit of TH-cam contest I've watched of Les. Sorry for the rambling...but as as bloke from the US, I wanted to say how much appreciate what you all appreciate.
