I built my stock truck for less than 7,000 dollars because I used my head , lift, wheels, tires, performance muffler, and some Grafix and I get nothing but attention wherever I go and my wife is always giggling going damn this is just crazy!

I was driving my whipplecharged super truck down i40 from Cookeville to Crossville way back in 2016.
Took me at least a week to build,but I did it myself in a driveway.
That's building the entire truck.
Took me 2 days to install the supercharger but it was my 1st rodeo.
I could do faster now

Good video guys. Another thing to consider is insurance. Call your insurance company and tell them you bought a 95,000 truck and see what the difference is between that and a 40,000 truck that you build up yourself. I save over 3k per year..

Even though I just purchased my 2023 F-150 XLT Rocky Ridge back in February. I don’t necessarily feel too bad because I definitely did not pay the initial $107K sticker price and in fact negotiated between two dealerships for two days and ended up financing my truck for $74K after taxes and fees. I have a Lariat chassis and all the bells and whistles I wanted. Only thing to do is to drop a Ford Performance stage 1 Whipple on it so that I can keep all my factory warranties plus Ford’s Whipple warranty. Oh and some traction bars. In all that’ll be a $13K upgrade to 700 HP! Yes in the end it’ll cost me $87K but that’s still cheaper than the original $107K sticker price for this, more cheaper than the $125K 5.2L V8 Raptor and cheaper than the $150K 5.2L V8 Raptor R! 😎

Thank you for this. I tell people the same thing. Build it! It's way cheaper and you get to further customize if you choose to. Larger injectors, fuel pump (high side/low side), larger throttle body, intake, and a smaller pulley. You could do a piston/rod package and really crank up the power and it's all STILL tens of thousands cheaper.
I think what stops a lot of people from building their own performance build is finding a speed shop and a tuner. In my area these niche shops are far and few in between. It's what stalled me at first for a long time.

I've got a 2022 F150 on order; first truck. Started following you guys when I started looking at trucks. Went with a V8 just so I could Whipple her after seeing your truck. Before seeing your truck I was ready to buy a 3.5L a local dealer had on the lot. Can't wait to see how a supercharged truck feels compared to the charged cars I've had. Here's hoping the engine is reliable. Thank you for breaking down these costs gentlemen.

said this when you announced the video. i love this poll and im curious the cost of this and wolf. Big reason is because with the shelby, roush ,Hennessy, harley ect 150s you are paying for names and badging but they are all lacking performance potential!! So i always say people talk about wow the trx is faster than a shelby f150 or fsster than a the raptor etc. well if you built your own f150 you are looking being able to do a street version if speed is what you are looking for or a offroader and make them as high as 1200whp and run 8s for cheaper than a TRx .

This is great information for us on a budget... I am looking to do this myself on my ford. But I would still rather have that shelby!! They are mean looking trucks with the swapped hood and badass front end. Also the suspension that is fully adjustable, and most Importantly having that piece of mind that all of it is under warranty!!

Very nice. The performance modifications, specifically the ECU tune if not approved in Califoria will fail smog. The first 8 years are waived but after that you will have to change the tune back to stock for the smog check and change it back afterwards. Overall it shows what you can do without the branding and get the same bang.
Great video yet again. Best thing about building your OWN version of your dream truck is partly the savings but even much better? You NEVER see yourself up and down road all day !! And it’s an expression of you! Same idea as I did with Harley many years ago and some 60 and 70’s muscle cars.

Been building my expedition for 10 months, complete lightning powertrain with all supporting mods, Beltech suspension and American Racing wheels. Hopefully will be ready by December.

Bought my 18 used with 12k miles fully loaded. Fbo including headers 2500. 38k for the truck. 7200 for the procharger (not on yet). Trac bars $400. Drag pack $2000. 1200 for the 3/5 drop. 51300 total and should run low 10s in a crew cab with heated AC seats panoramic roof the whole nine.
My favorite upgrade to the Hammer, by far, is the Whipple Supercharger! I also, love all the other upgrades.
I bought a RAS off of Craigslist, it's brand new, paid $300 and installed it today. I'll let y'all know my thoughts after a month, or so.
The Hammer is looking, sounding, and performing fantastic...so fun to see the transformation.

Never thought id consider a new truck. But these used prices have me considering now. I was going to continue using my 05 5.4 3v 293,***mi work horse for a few more yrs. But the shop that rebuilt my transmission did a crappy job and it blew up 3 days ago possibly messing up motor too. Everything is all locked up, R.I P. If cab and bed werent rotted id fix it.
So here i am. If i can find/order the truck i want, im look at 55k. Xlt, 8ft bed, supercab, sport appearance, max tow, 3.73 locking, 5.0. She wanted a trx for looks/power, thats my girl 😍. But our pockets arent deep enough. 55k is plenty already. My father bought a loaded navigator for 48k some time ago. Any way. Thinking about a factory installed, for warranty supercharger. I think for 22' its down to roush kit 705hp. I dont see ford racing kit on site. If u can answer some questions for me.
Ill start with the crazy question. Is it possible to get a eco tune to run regular fuel? Fuel will rise again so just wanted to know. I could always get 2 octane booster bottle i guess. 93 was .80 more a gal not too long ago.

My truck was 11.8/13.5. 8ft bed, 4.10, 7 lug, stock. 13/15 after 5 star tune, efan conversion, and long tubes. So same mpg with 705hp... ok. Worse... not good.

I didn’t realize how much the msrp went up on these trucks. For a 502a truck you are looking at $72000 without dealer “market adjustments.” I was going to build up a new truck but imma probably wait for 2024

Thank you for a great video. Curious, why did you remove some of the headlight tint? Visibility issues or legal, or both? Looking to do something like this on my truck or wait until there are aftermarket options.
Thanks for watching Hugo! Mainly visibility issues. It was okay to drive when the days were longer. Now that it's getting dark early, there's a whole lot more driving at night and it's just not fun to drive with the amount of visibility. Don't get me wrong, some people wouldn't mind how much light it took away but it was a problem for me. It's possible if you use the lighter version of the tent it would help out as well.

Question what type of type Is tire dressing do you use on your tires on your F150 The tire Dressing I use slings all up on the side of the truck when I drive it .
And what's a good recommendation for my exhaust I have stock exhaust would like it to be a little louder maybe dual pipes out the side.

Road master helps with towing and driving with more stability. Traction bars are more for racing to stop wheel hop. Sam’s truck doesent need traction bars at his 775 crank hp level. The Wolf is over 1000 crank hp and can’t launch without traction bars
I would absolutely rather build my own truck that get a Shelby but that doesn’t change the overlying cool factor of a Shelby. A buddy of mine was pumped the other day after seeing a 21 Shelby in a grocery store parking lot. He did a full on photo shoot of that thing, gorgeous truck. But not worth $130k

My favorite mod would have to be the supercharger, with the wrap being a close second. The wrap really changes the look of the truck!

You get a regular F150, install a supercharger, tune it(you didnt mention it). Tuning will throw your engine warranty in the trash can. You will keep getting engine codes and will need a tuner, diag tool to keep deleting shit all the time. You did some (cheap) mods and made the truck fast but you still have at the end of the day a regular F150. Unless you are on the strip nobody cares about that truck on the street, it's just another boring F150.
People tune and mod civics , make them fast, still they are civics. An F150 shelby is a head turner in addition to it being fast. A Raptor, TRX hold resell value. Hennessey gives 36 months warranty... you toast your engine doing your own mods you better be saving for another engine. Go resell a tuned truck and compare it to a Raptor or TRX. Your money is in the can.

How is the truck doing after a year? I would like to do it to my truck, but I am worried about long-term reliability.
I do some towing in Holland, so I don’t want it to affect the ability of my truck to do truck things or leave me stranded out on the road!
I would like to know what leveling system you have I do not want the puck but i am having trouble finding good leveling kits for the 2021.
Sam’s truck has the prior gen Falcon Sport Tow/Haul shocks and they bolt right on.

Hey guy can you do a GMC like that?
Not as easy. The superchargers offered don’t add enough boost and the 6.2 isn’t near as powerful and efficient with mods as the 5.0. The GMC is a great truck but hard to mod to this level.

It handles it great. This is not too extreme of a tune. He launches in 4H every time he races. I launch my truck with several more hundred HP with few problems.

Hey, awesome job done with the truck. but is the headlight tint vehicle specific or was it a universal piece cut to fit?
It was custom made. At first I had the entire headlight wrapped. It was too dark to see at night in some situations. The headlight tint is different than window tint. It is thicker and more stretchy. I scored the tint with an exacto knife. Once you pull up from an edge, it tears apart clean.
