Must be detuned - Whipple should be 800plus minimum.

Good luck with your current setup! I'm actually in the process of removing my Whipple off my F150 due to various problems. Whipple is a reputable company and it does have the limited warranty available for purchase as you mentioned but it is not directly engineered by Ford for that motor and drivetrain. It just didn't work out with my truck. If I had to do it over again, I would've left it stock. Thousands of dollars down the drain. Live and learn...
What exactly were the issues??
@@coastalparasail 1) Hard to start in colder temperatures. I never had starting issues in colder temperatures before the Whipple was installed. 2) Stock cats got clogged up and had to be replaced. I’m not sure the stock F150 cats can handle the amount of hp/tq that the Whipple setup makes for any considerable long interval (2+ years) of usage. 3) Check engine light consistently coming on for several issues. Those are some of the main issues that I had with my Whipple setup on my F150. Whipple did try to help as best they could, but the issues never went away. I’m not blaming Whipple for the situation at all. They have a quality forced induction system for the F150. It just didn’t work out for my F150.

@@paulira7407 Paul thank you for your input. I was considering a Whipple for my 2015 5.0 Plat. Thought It would be nice for towing. But you are not the only one that has stated some issues with the conversion. Others complained of the CEL as well. Not sure why the issue. I am going to follow this install here since it was done at a Ford dealership. Maybe they have solved some of the issues.

As long as you can keep your foot off the floor (giggle) you might also get some better mpg. In all honesty, you now have more smiles per gallon. Love the idea of owning a 5.0L over the 3.5 and supercharging the 5.0. Nice truck!
The truck sounds really smooth. In my opinion, this build is much better than the previous truck. 👍

Hey buddy I did they same thing to my 2021 F150 keep you eyes on your oil level check the oil Everyday for at least the first 3 week because my was drinking a quart of oil ever 3 days if you start to notice that it's drinking oil like crazy take it back in the Ford because your ringlands took a crap I was getting bad blow back oil was going past the piston and smoked like a chimney Ford has a TSB out on the Whipple charger f-150s for the ringland ring so just keep an eye on your oil because I don't want you to go through the same thing I did with toasted the engine with only 1800 miles on it and they did replace it under warranty but it took them two months to get it done and I know you need the truck for your channel so just keep an eye on your oil and if you catch it early you could probably just get away with them swapping out the ringlands... That’s a ford for ya 🤣. So many don’t realize these can’t handle the whipple for very long before 10 speed starts slipping or engine issues .

Been a year since this video. Do you regret super changing this truck? Been thinking of buying one and having the whipple put on it and having TC customs install it. Have you had any problems if so what was the problems? Thanks

Just drove a Shelby F150 with the 775 hp Whipple and about the same big tires (35s) yesterday--which doesn't help acceleration. Owner made me do a burnout and whip it up to an easy 100-MPH. Felt great. Looking toward the Ford installed FP700 option on my next F150 but with a slight lowering kit and much lighter semi-forged wheels (20" in rims). It's our highway bullet train to our cabin with a snowmobile or motorcycle in the bed. Should be about this quick at 700 HP--and Ford warranty--ironically as Ford walks back from the EV F150s. Should help me get around left-lane lurkers more expediently than my Eco-boost 3.5, which is decently quick. Also might be on our last hurrahs for real V-8 boosted power.
Looks like using an app to unlock your truck is a lot more difficult than just putting in the door code 😂 great video as always man!
It’s a pain in the ass using the app for it. I don’t ever use my app unless I have to. My key fob has an LED to tell whether it started properly and it works instantly. The app takes like 30 seconds to connect to the truck.

Thinking about getting a 2017 with 238k on the clock for 14k, do the timing chain, water pump and oil pump gears then drive it for 20k to see if it will hold a whipple. A 600whp daily work truck sounds AMAZING

Was the Whipple the only thing that you upgraded? After installing the supercharger was there any other parts that required upgrading or "beefing up" to keep up with the increase in power?

That thing rips, but those 4wd launches are gonna break something soon. The stock transfer case and front end were not meant to launch on pavement with almost 800 hp. I'm sure that 1000hp truck had a built driveline.
I've done hundreds of launches on my truck and it makes the same torque. Fords are tough as nails friend.

@@zaidnadeem238 A naturally aspirated car can be fun. There's uniqueness of both applications (boost vs. n/a). I love Boost, but a certain part of me often misses how my '70 GTO drove, how the torque was instant down low through the 400. Once I added boost to my '08 C6 I was in love, smitten by the sounds and instant propulsion through the RPM range. It felt like a linear delivery of power, much more violent than N/A could do. Just my opinion though.

Ford just announced that they are offering a factory supercharger option that doesnt ruin your factory warranty.

Wrong cold air means running moderate boost without detontion kaboom on pump gas instead of race gas the extra HP is a plus

What gear ratio is your truck? And do you know which gear ratios come with the 9.75 inch diff? I was reading that people who run the Whipple w/ the smaller and weaker diffs run into problems occasionally.

I’ll stick with my 3.5 Ecobeast and 6” lift for now. Cool truck though. I enjoy seeing mods on trucks even though I’ll never get them.

if you want more more more, get yourself a set of carbon wheels, low profile tires for lighter unsprung weight.. HELPS for both launching and braking .. then work on like a Detroit locker and gearing, leave front alone unless you track it on a road course.. obviously lower it.. you can get her dropped perfectly, yup, dual adjustable coilovers on all 4 corners.. active sway bars, then you can go around the supercars in the canyons... you can also do a paddle shift mod and have paddle shift, may as well it has the tranny . . . tear em up in the canyons or track right.. toss the carbon wheels with the gumshoes on for track stuff, go back to whatever for street.. you might be surprised, buddy has the Chevy and his ;lap times are pretty impressive, and its darn near bone stock, $120,000 truck tho.. if I go paddle and the mods mentioned I will be able to go around him! he's at what 707? RST . . . BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA now that be funny roll round him in an XLT ... LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO

I just smashed a ford with a similar setup in my 18 6.2 denalli with a 6th gen whipple along with a few other things. Almost in the 10’s😮

@@burgerbandit3646 sure the awd is nasty but it weighs around 7000lbs. An f150 is less than 6000. The trx is just a big heavy dog besides straight line speed

@@burgerbandit3646 I don't know what you are referring to but yes it is the same tranny. The 10r80 is very solid and holds a ton of power. The only common issue I know of is harsh shifting.
Ford need to do that exact supercharger set up for the raptor r
