SwarLord T no that sound is the cross plane crankshaft which alters the firing order, making it different than most inline 4 engines. Pre-2009 R1’s sound different. The illestrator has a video of cross plane technology, you should check it out.

Tanmay Chhatbar it is not, coz you can turn the traction control off or you can put the bike into dyno mode on FTecu which is disable the wheel speed sensors. also the north america r1 and r1m has lower power than euro version on stock. and should be same after unlock the ecu. and it's hard to compare two base dyno numbers on different dyno machine. you need to compare two bikes on same dyno on same day. so the elevation, temp, etc is all the same.

It's a shield that belongs to THAT akrapovic muffler. Muffler got some places to bolt it on
