You where actually on the right track there. It sounds like a muscle car because the crossplane motors have the same crankrotation as a oldschool-V8, that is what makes this motor sound so good and gives it that torque
Congrats are due fron previous exp & current witb my Beast Super Duke 1290 R there is no better exhaust system than Akrapivic quality built , looks , function & sound this R1 build will be a huge hit & wont take so much time & effiort to assemble it together

I wouldn't say it's the best build . I love ducati and the italian designs but yamaha is still the most recognised bike brand and continues to develop amazing machines
These are def one of the best sounding bikes for sure
When you take cost and reliability into account, the R1 can't be beat in my opinion. The Italian machines are beautiful and fast but maintenance and repair costs are a big drawback. The Japanese big for give you 99% of the looks and power, reliability and low maintenance costs are also included...🏍️

When you first pulled the muffler out of the box I thought it was way too big. I’m not a fan of the really small cans but that looked almost like stock. With it on the bike and the carbon shield installed it really looks awesome. The angle and shape fits the bike perfectly and the sound…

Ya, I thought the same thing. I was taught the correct pronunciation early on and for some reason I cringe when it's mispronounced. It is always mispronounced even by very accomplished motorcycle people...

Had to be Akrapovic all the way. The r1 cp4 an the aprilia rsv4 have to be at the top of the list when it comes to the best sounding engines. Combined with the full akrapovic, perfection. Loving the r1 build, its going to be one special bike. 🍻 Guys. 💪

I don’t think akra makes a full system for the monster 1200. Id recommend the SC project full titanium system for that bike
Akra does make one for the 1200 Monster, but you have to purchase it in 3 seperate pieces. Titanium headers, link pipe and the can.

I’ve just been out to Spain on a track day and there was about 15 R1 they all sounded amazing
So long as you leave the servo motor attached you can still ride it without the servo buddy installed, just make sure the electrical connector is done correctly otherwise you'll cause an error. Didn't even bother with the servo buddy on my MT10SP when I changed the exhaust.
Yea we could just remove the cords and leave the servo motor but I’d like to shave more weight 😂

SC-Project exhaust is pretty nice for the R1-M. I was at Ducati NYC and there was one there with that exhaust on it and it sounded aaaamazing!!!! Added bones: the can was a shorty. Had a very GP look to it.

Loving this build brother I have a 2020 R1M and so far the build you’re doing I have down the exact same thing. 🔥🔥🔥 the only thing I have not done is slap on some brembos and rizoma mirrors to expensive . And I need some because yes the brakes are not good I mainly use the engine brake way better lol 😂

For the next bike you should do a throw back bike when it was the fury fairing days from the beginning of the stunt scene. I prefer stainless systems because the coloring on them when they heat is way cooler.

@Jaret Campisi You don't need a servo buddy if you're doing the ECU flash.
@MT10-Nick I believe the flash still has some adaptive learning so it’s good to have the O2 sensors on there for that purpose

Top quality system by akra but very common On that bike...spark is also making a wsbk replica full titanium system ...but motomillion doesn't carry it...you should also see those italian welds of that one too! By the way... pronunciation of akrapovic is on point👌

Quick question? Why don't you need to run a servo buddy with the Ducati? It has a servo in the exhaust right? Just wondering if you had to put one on it, or did i miss that part? 🤔I'm putting an full Acra system on my panigale V4 soon so i was wondering if i need to by a servo buddy for it? Thanks Jeret.
The flash takes care of it on most bikes actually. We prob don’t need one for this either but I did just to be safe

My dog is trained to alert me or wife when he hears the smoke detector go off. He just got a treat bc you started R1 with just headers and he heard the smoke detector 🐕

Aprilia and Yamaha are well known to be better sounding than Ducati.
Yes they def sound better than the V4 Ducati’s. I would say Aprilia RSV4 and R1 sound best with Ducati third
Need a nice comparison of the termi exhaust from the v4 with this one. Definitely gives it the generic bike look a big boost. Kinda why I like the ducatis, they just a have a bit of soul and locktite…. Compared to the Japanese variety.
