@@gravitystormgaming6836 because recording and post processing footage is how it looks this good, trying to feed this footage live would be next to impossible. not to mention racing rules dont allow any helmet mounted devices because they reduce the effectiveness of the helmet during a crash
@@bossmoderhino6109you’ll almost never be allowed on track with a helmet mounted camera because it could interfere with the helmets function (since it wasn’t designed to have a big dingus camera on the chin when it was made) in a crash. Every track day I’ve been to they’ve said no helmet mounted cameras in the riders meeting. I suspect because these guys are pros they’re allowed to film with helmet cams on open track laps but in a race where crashes are likely no way unless the camera is integrated into the helmet design that’s why we’ve got shoulder cam in MotoGP much easier to pop that in without interfering with the suit’s function.

For those wondering...Nicolo Canepa (from Wikipedia) He raced in MotoGP full-time for Pramac Ducati in 2009 with little success, and made an uncompetitive start in Moto2. He moved back to the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup in 2011, and after a season in the Superbike World Championship in 2012, returned to Superstock 1000 in 2013 and became runner up behind Sylvain Barrier. as a rookie, you can learn here that it doesent matter how fast you think you are taking that corner or how late you think you are breaking, you are too slow and you should brake later and accelerate sooner :D

You and Toprak made a clear example of how big is the gap overall between non racers vs legit racers... love the footage... you guys are on a different level...
The quality of the footage is mindblowing! As a rider who tries to capture the perfect audio and sense of speed, this is what we all aspire to. Also, so cool to see: 1) how much later toprak brakes; 2) how toprak takes a much more "V" shaped line through a lot of the corner...late braking into the apex, on the power - get the bike as vertical as possible, straight shot out of the corner. Canepa is damn fast though, crazy speed all around!
Best example of trail braking and body position (when to move your ass for each corner and during the straights) one will ever get. Thanks for the demonstration...this video is pure gold.
Incredible footage. Toprak is a monster, he’s like a Rossi w the smoothness of Lorenzo. Canepa is a beast for being able to hang with him and record this incredible footage. Eleven minutes flew by so fast wow. 👏🏽

No matter how late Canepa is on the brakes at the main straight, Toprak still brakes just a little later....and STILL hits a tight apex and drives out faster 😮 Mad skills both of them!
After witnessing each thrilling straight, I was initially taken aback by how late the breaking points seemed, and I couldn't help but wonder if they would miss the apex. However, much to my amazement, these true elite riders not only kissed the apex with precision but also soared out of the corner with incredible finesse. Witnessing such skill and daring on the motorcycles truly cements their status as legendary riders. What an awe-inspiring display!
Amazing Nico you really did well keeping with Toprak, could see you were keeping higher corner speeds than he was and the wider line theough the last corner allowed you to get a run on him down the fron straight.

I once went shopping far away from where i live with my nightpurple BMW M3 convertible on a hot summer day. At the way back home i had do to a stretch of about 200 km on the highway. Roof down just when i hit the highway a newer pearlwhite BMW M3 convertible took over me and started to ride at my speed in front of me. We gradually stepped up the speed and after a short time we where at about 240 kmph. Not knowing where the other BMW was going i drove my route on the highway, sometimes overtaking the white car and sometimes trailing him. We drove in the same direction for over 150 km until we separated. That was one of the best drives i ever had. Cant imagine how much joy this ride must have given both drivers… ❤️

I come back to this video every few months since it released... I watch every second of it and I try to analyze and understand everything that's happening, from the talent to the lines and the thought processes. Always around the same point in the videos I say to myself... "toprak is doing this on a Stock R1M with tires on it" then I go to the garage and look at my R1 and say "we got a long way to go" lol.

Most people can’t out ride their stock equipment lol I left my r1 stock until I started warping stock rotors, older r1 not current gen but still amazing when you just focus on you and not what fancy parts you have lol
@@elifelif777 It's still a stock bike, the R1M, definitely not a race bike. If I may elaborate...it has absolutely nothing to do with a WSBK-spec bike for example. There was a WSBK test at Portimao this year, and lot of the MotoGP riders were there testing on stock bikes with slicks on, and they were around 4 seconds off the pace of the best factory WSBK bikes. I know that the idea that you can buy " almost " the same bike that the top professional riders race in WSBK is a cool-sounding one, but in reality there is almost not a single screw on the WSBK bike from the stock bike. Those things are tuned big time.

Being able to watch a rider like Toprak on a machine with a brake light is truly fascinating. I will probably watch this video 10+ more times. This on board is the best I've seen. Now if only WSBK and MotoGP would allow riders to have Go-Pros attached to their helmet's chin bars!

Most people can’t out ride their stock equipment lol I left my r1 stock until I started warping stock rotors, older r1 not current gen but still amazing when you just focus on you and not what fancy parts you have lol

@@elifelif777 It's still a stock bike, the R1M, definitely not a race bike. If I may elaborate...it has absolutely nothing to do with a WSBK-spec bike for example. There was a WSBK test at Portimao this year, and lot of the MotoGP riders were there testing on stock bikes with slicks on, and they were around 4 seconds off the pace of the best factory WSBK bikes. I know that the idea that you can buy " almost " the same bike that the top professional riders race in WSBK is a cool-sounding one, but in reality there is almost not a single screw on the WSBK bike from the stock bike. Those things are tuned big time.
