- Dagger 1 is a fantasy jet I designed and 3d printed. its a cross between a F22 and a Su-47. its 150 grams lighter than the SU-47 and a bit more maneuverable. Su-47 is a little easier to fly. either way I love them both. just different.

And another one to build! ❤
That thing flies awesome! Super maneuverable and the high alpha is so sick.
I LOVE forward-swept wings! Almost 40 years ago i was kit-bashing model kits and flipping the wing direction, including an f1-11 with variable sweep wings that looked IMHO sweet!
Man if this thing had rudders it would drift like a car!
never bro those are amazing models and i am a huge fan of the F22 so this is totally a dream for me
Amazing anti stall performance - simply outstanding.
Would be good to see this model in a version 3 times the size.
Either way, this is memorable.
Twin 64 would be pretty sick
@@hotlapkyle I can do "sick" :o)
Damnit Kyle....Now I'm going to have to buy another Kit from you. My wife is getting tired of the foaming pla filling up the house. LOL
Mine too!!!
I think if anybody can get the X29 to fly nice. It'll be you. I'm really impressed with your try on air for the c. Ds and everything.
Good job
Thank you! I can happily say the X-29 flies beautifully without a gyro. Stay tuned
Congrats. It flies great no doubt!
Thanks!
Cool Jet!!!! I appreciate the creativity
Oh man I love it, another one for my shopping list..Grate work as always!
Hey kyle.Have you considered the f15? or f5/f20 i would love those planes!
Klingon bird of prey 💫
great flight and a perfect result of the work.....thumbs up👍👍
The flare on that landing impressive!
Hello Kyle, mega design, great job - that's what I´m looking for ;-). Today my 40mm EDF for the SU47 arrived, and I think I want the Dagger! please publish the jet. I'm really looking forward to the beautiful plane! Kind regards from Frankfurt, Ger. PS: I fly the Skyray every time at the Field, super easy fun, thank you.
Amazing!! Happy you love the Sky Ray! Probably the best flying plane outside the su-47
I know, it would complicate the build a lot, but moving canards and rudders will make this plane insane ! Also configuring the edf units as differential thrust units would make it even more fun to fly.. BTW, resoect for what you're doing, yoy make the hobby for lots of people accessible
Definitely one of the coolest RC jets ever
Then you!!
That dagger flies INSANELY WELL!!!!! That X-29 though😍
X-29 flew great!
@@hotlapkyle LETS GOOOOO!!!!
Can't wait to see you fly the X-29!
Dagger 1 looks amazing brotha
Thanks!
Like the video?! i LOVE IT!!
Takemydamnmoneynao!!! I wonder how much more agile the plane could be with active canards and rudder control all mixed in.
Probably a lot!! Only problem is it would give it so much pitch authority it may stall out too easy for most pilots
very cool design of forward sweep wing, it seems even more elaborate than the Su47 which is built for maximum stability. i think youe can make it fly without canards because the forward sweep wing has very good stall recovery characteristics (but should be correct aerolastic by carbon rod at leading edge ) instead of canard id go with a bit of reflex around the fuselage
I did fly it without the canards and it crashed a few times turning at slow speed
@@hotlapkyle ok i ll have a look at the crashes, for sure canard gives immediate control but generally a little bit reflex should make it unstallable.
❤💯🙌
No, the forward Swept wings are cool.
imma remember that move you did by accident in the intro for war thunder
when are the files gonna be available
This looks super! Love the landing flare too. Do you use any electronic stabilization or is this raw flight?
All thumbs no flight stabilizer
Go look for "Bird of Prey Forward Swept Flying Wings", it's an old EPO flying wing. Very similar to what you are doing. No canard needed and it flew awesome, like your planes are.
Do the elevons turn these fixed rudder designs or are they more of a bank and yank design where the elevator is doing most of the turning?
Just two servos on an elevon mix
Do you put any washout in your wing designs? If not it may help with wing dropping in a stall. Just a thought - looks like it flies pretty nicely with the canards!
Lots of washout at different stages
Yeah I’d buy this, just to hang it on the wall
So she is more tricky than Su-47? Great savings!
Faster lighter and more maneuverable than the SU-47 and smaller. SU-47 will hand launch and land easier
What size EDF in the X29? I have one made by flight test. It flies pretty good. The canards don't move, but that's okay. You can always add movement later. Quick switch to get it to work
50mm either .3s or 4s
Wonderful model, congrats you are an amazing designer. It can be printed in a 200mm x 200mm printer?
It will be 220/220/220 but you can most likely turn the larger parts on an angle or just split them and glue them. My models use slicer generated infill so you can cut any part in half
@@hotlapkyle Ok, thanks, waiting the files .... Congrats !!!
So looking at dagger 1 my first thought is that the canards might as well be strakes since they are right in front of the wing and there's such a small gap between the canard trailing edge and wing leading edge.
Just being honest.
I did think about that after the fact. Could have been just like f18 strakes. I didn’t realize I needed them after I designed everything.
@@hotlapkyle and another thought, if they were strakes joined to the wing, wouldn't the plane be a bit Tougher since the canards might get broken off easier in a crash?
It's a 3d print, easy enough to make a new version and print and see how it flies, right?
Ready for release?
Does the CG move or the Center of Pressure /Center of lift?
No it’s very predictable with the canards many issues with V1.
You did not just do that there is no way in hell you just did that seriously dude? You're going to put a goddamn x-29 in the background not table and not say a thing about it? Hello? Does it fly do you have a video of it flying? That's like my second favorite airplane in the world next to the SR-71 :-) I love the x29
By the way if this is dagger one as in from the Sony movie stealth? If you have fast enough fingers fast enough throttle control and powerful enough engines you want that tail heavy you wanted as close to almost impossible control as you can get it because that's when things get really interesting and really maneuverable but typically that requires a fast computer to control it :-) so don't push it too far :-)
What site do you Juse for modeling?
Shapr3d
please release
They are ready but I feel like I’m flooding the market lol if you guys really want them they are done
can i buy direct for you?@@hotlapkyle
