      Some say he's 3/4 dog, and deodorant only works on him for about 21 minutes. All we know is, he's called Texas Dave.

    Just told my wife about you guys being 3 hours away and showed her the deals. She said it cost way more than that do to that kind of class..."not if i leave here stupid early in the morning and come back the same day" end of debate. Definitely after we do our Christmas shopping i will be planning a Me Day to see you guys. Also, badass job on that sti. Makes me want to do mine

    I’m only half way into the video,but man you brought back memories of me trying left foot braking for the first times and how I pushed on that pedal brake like it’s the clutch resulting in me slamming my head into the wheel 😂😂😂

    Good catch Dave at the 1:01 moment showing the 3 pedals with your fingers. You almost went from clutch to the gas pedal... that would have been awkward 😅

    The tip about twisting your big toe away from the brake pedal to modulate brake pressure it was really good for beginners! That allows much more accurate modulation than trying to twist your ankle.

    My first time left foot braking was clutch in, break in... all the way in. The clutch disengaged at the bottom, so my left foot was used to that. Learning the break is not the clutch was a lesson in itself. After that I was ok at it. Until my newer cars where the break cuts the throttle. That was a new experience. -a pretend rally driver

      @nightowlrally 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep! I'm used to a heavier clutch so I got used to pushing out with my toes (bite point just happened to fit where I relaxed my foot) when shifting, so yeah, based lol. I found it went better when I backed my heel away from the brake pedal just a touch and kinda anchor it there.

    Question about running with a disabled booster. Do you have any other mods to increase the leverage of the pedal (i.e. smaller master)? Or are the pads you run enough to compensate for the loss in braking force? I've driven an older WRX with aggressive street pads and a disabled booster and it was next to impossible to lock up the wheels on gravel.

    • @RallyReady

      Take it off the booster. Put a bolt in the vacuum hose and a cap on the booster. Ta daa.

    I almost ate the steering wheel the first time I tried left foot braking. No, left foot it's not a clutch.

    Have to clarify something here (I am a rally coach, have worked in the WRC), this is NOT left foot braking, this is braking with the left foot. Whats the difference? Well, Left Foot Braking is when you use the brakes and the throttle at the same time to create grip/shift weight of the car. Its a good way to prepare for proper Left Foot Braking, as you need to build up sensitivity in the left foot, but still, yoy will not be all the way there :)

      If you just watched to the 12min mark, you would’ve realized that the first part was just to familiarize with the concept of braking with your left foot…
