Thanks for the spacing tip for the corn. I will make sure I do that. My cauliflowers should be ready to pick in a week and the corn seedlings should be the perfect size to go into that spot! ☺️ Your coriander looks amazing! I would love to see how your mum preserves it! Thanks for another great video!
I saw your caulies they looked pretty close to start heading up. I just started harvesting the first heads from my 3rd planting so will be clearing that patch soon also. Looking forward to seeing your corn planting video
You are off to a great start. In Adelaide I have started tomatoes and zucchini but still waiting for capsicum, celery and pumpkin germination. Have a great season.
Thabks mate. Yeah it was a warm start this year but we just had a sudden cold snap so it’s slowed the plants a bit. I’m hoping to plant zucchini in October
Your mango is ahead of mine (also in Sydney, but up the north side of the city, towards Hornsby) but my avo still has fruit from last season on it! Need to keep harvesting a few each week. My persimmon is very well-entrenched, and I'm going to net it this year. Thanks for your tips on planting out - I'm hoping to get my seedlings in the ground in the next week, and sow the next round of plants!
Thanks for the heads up on your trees. Good to know how everyone else is going in Sydney. I keep fretting over my trees every year hoping for a crop this time around
Hi Anthony. Really lovethe videos. May I request you to show the fertilizer you use at select times with a photo or a mention of the company ( like you do for seeds). It takes some of the guesswork out. I do try follow how you go and really appreciate the vids
Hi I will. I buy my fertilisier in 20kg bags but you can get all of these from Bunnings. Look for sulfate of potash and dynamic lifter pellets. I also use sulfate of ammonia depending on on the crop and superphosphate. All brands go by these generic names
you get more avocadoes by having a compatible second tree, but i only have single tree too, so only get a handful of avocadoes. maybe i should get a compatible avocado tree and grow in a pot, as dont have the space for another big tree in backyard. i started using Growth Technology (aussie brand) liquid fertilizer for pot plants, and it's pretty good. Buying some more to use for veggie seedlings. cold again here. so far planted out only tomatoes.
Yeah this avacado was gifted to me by my dad who grew it from a seed. I don’t think it would produce but because it has so many flowers I have been holding on to it in the hope it will produce. I’m going to give it another year and see how it goes but the winds we have been having at the moment I’m not liking my chances
I buy seeds from active vista seeds but I also have found some new seed suppliers such as Petra seeds that focus on tomatoes and cucumbers. You can get commercial grade seeds from happy valley seeds as well you just need to know what variety you are looking for
Thanks Anthony, I have planned my corn the same way.
Thanks Anthony i have just planted some corn that way.
Great video
Thanks mate 👍

Thanks for the vid, Anthony. Your successions of plantings are an inspiration.
I'd love to know how your mum preserves the coriander.
I will need to share a video of this. I think wshe has already cut them up and froze them but I might see if I can take a video of the coriander
@@sydneybackyardveggies9612 very kind of you. Thanks.
My avocado trees are full of flowers too and hopeful 😂
Hope some of those flowers set and you get a great crop 👍
I’m hopeful, I planted lavender at the base of the avocado tree and bees are happily moving to the Avocado flowers ❤

How do I fix my tomato seedlings that have yellow leaves
Our Avocados got smashed by the winds here too, South Coast NSW.
Yeah we have had more wind again recently so I’m not liking my chances

Where do you buy your commercial seeds from Anthony?

@@sydneybackyardveggies9612 cheers mate! I'll have a look at the places you mentioned 👍
Anthony hi! Do you sell any of your produce or is it just for you family and friends?
Nah usually just give them away to family I grow what I know the extended family will eat. My crops arnt A grade so I’m not keen on selling them
ooh I have corn growing inside (with lights and a heating mat). They are only 6 days old and doubling in size every day
Time to get them out into the patch. It’s warm enough now
@@sydneybackyardveggies9612 will be in the next couple of days :)
Hi, as always your garden looks great and hopefully the fruit trees will produce for you.🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥭🥭🥭
Fingers crossed I get some Avacados this year
