Hi Andy, wow you were at the NEC? So close to me, you should have called in for a cuppa! Great to see all these lovely Landies, amazing that they are even older than me but in far better shape! Great knowledge you got there. The yellow Trials Series One stood out for me, very cool car. Anyway, really interesting stuff, thanks for sharing, fella! :O)
Cheers Mark, a rare occasion where my wife was off work and we could travel down, wife had to do all the driving though. The oldest was a 1952 so that’s 70 years old and counting. Yeah I like the trials vehicle, lots of characters to it. Cheers for watching as I know it’s not strictly RC ;) take care fella
I love the series 1 .. hard to come by here in Iowa, the ones that were here mostly rusted out. There’s one that is around I see quite often that’s original paint and is red. Has a hopped up 215 rover v8 in it..
Cool , yeah they will be fairly uncommon in the US especially the size of the country , I do know a chap I think in Austin with a 80inch series one , used to live not too far from me originally. They sound great with a v8 in ;)
Absolutely awesome! Thank you for taking us along. Great show Andy.
Cheers Keith thanks for joining me and checking this one out ;)
Awesome Andy wow you have a lot of knowledge on the Landys impressive dude 👍👍🤩🚴🏅
Hi Pete , thank you, I know bits and pieces ;) I do love them very much and I’ve been around them pretty much all my life

How many horsepower did the 2 l have in the 80 in?
They roughly had about 52-55bhp not overly powerful but it’s all about low down torque once in 4WD
Andy what year did Rover start using the Buick inspired v8?? 65??
First used in rovers 4WD in the 1970 Range Rover 3.5ltr derived as your correctly said the Buick v8 small block
In the P5 B. 1967.
First use of the v8 by Rover. B for Buick.
A superb car.
