Hello Mr Steve I also use britpart parts and I am happy with them I keep a lot of land rovers running around the island 😁a big hug from Terceira Azores love your channel
Thanks Lucio, I was in the Azores just before Covid shut the world down, it is such a beatiful place, I really love it but only spent 10 days on São Miguel. If the world opens up again I would love to return and explore the other islands. I am glad you can keep your Landies running on the island, it would be my idea of heaven, beatiful island, classic Landy and amazing fishing and beatiful food too , soooo good :-)
Hopefully in 2021 I will add a Land Rover Series 1 or 2 or 2A to my collection! I have been looking, more scarce here in the U S. Definitely want a Series with headlights in the grill and not on the wings. If my research is correct, have to buy a Series that was built before February 1969. Headlights moved to the wings at that time. Thanks for the videos Steve.
Yes later 2A's had the lights on the wings, I have a decided preference for the original look with the inner lights also. Best of luck finding a series landy, they are fun little cars.
Hi, I think that we should be thank you and all TH-cam creators. Especially this year. I have binge watched all of you videos whilst shielding since March. Love the Series 1 and I would like to thank the sponsorship by WD40???🤥 Thanks again and a Happy New year to you all. 🇬🇧👍👍👍
Thanks for tuning in Mark, that's why I produce the content and share it (obviously the lack of lucrative sponsoutship is also appealing). Hope you have a better year.
Thanks MFE, we have plenty of rusty ones too but it is possible to find good rust free cars away from the coast. They are Landys so they need a bit of rust to be the real deal :-)
Happy New Year to you, thanks for all the quality content. 2020's been really rubbish here (UK) your's and other TH-cam posters have been quite a life-line to remind us of what 'normal' is and what we can hopefully get back to in 2021! All the best , Rob
@@VintageRestorationsAustralia Thank you! We spent the holiday at home so I've got plenty of time in the shed. Working on the brakes and bulkhead/floor simultaneously.
Good stuff, I plan on putting a 4 core series 3 radiator into my chariot to deal with the V8. Who do use for parts in Australia or do you get most of your stuff from the UK?
Yes the big thumper will take some cooling, I would be thinking an electric fan on an increased capacity rad would be a help. I get everything from the ol Blighty nowadays, Aussie suppliers seem to be on holidays mostly although I am keen to hear from and support any that can show me otherwise.
@@VintageRestorationsAustralia good to know about the parts. I’m thinking of the defender whenever I’m allowed home again. The old thumper came with an electric fan so I’ve got a head start there.

Ha, no I just discovered the sound effects on i movie but all the music and music samples are just me playing on my Donmo Resonator guitar, it has some very deep resophonic sounds.
@@VintageRestorationsAustralia Steve, I love your reso sounds. I'm a squareneck player in the states and I've noticed you guys down under really love reso's as well. My friend in Alabama built several guitars for Andrew Winton, a fairly well known reso player from Australia.
@@WellRoundedWoodsman Yes I have checked out you and your boys belting out some sweet bluegrass on your channel (more please!!) I am just loading and heading of to Tathra Pub to play a NY gig now. I know Andrews music, he is a solid blues guy, lots of them here, Damon Davies that I play with is worth a look too if you can find any of his recording and of course Jeff Lang is a total hero.
Thanks Graem, she is a pure breed Kelpie in the fawn colouration ( the old red dog is a kelpie also and the mixed colour dog is a kelpie cross wild dog/dingo)
With you all the way with using lower cost parts to keep the old girls running. Money doesn't grow on trees unfortunately. It would be nice to use all the best gear but that's just not practical for a lot of us.
Hello from Hong Kong - your channel is a lot of fun - good luck with all your doing
Thank you very much, so glad you enjoy the channel :-)

Don't forget to spray the front of it with WD40 so the old Landy slides through the air better.

Yep, there a lot of highquility parts on unfinished cars in sheds, in an ideal world I would use primo parts and have a job that pays well...
Britpart gets more hate than they deserve.
All those blue packets keep my wreck of a series 3 driving Lol.
