    This Stihl blower came in with fuel leaking from exhaust, the muffler had a lot of gas in it. We show how to take the machine apart and explain how to dry out a muffler. We found a problem with the carburetor so we......

    Great video, my bg blower did exactly the same. Found your channel whilst searching for a solution.I had a spare bg blower that was in parts and used that carburettor. Started with ease again.For me not being mechanically minded to my first attempt at repairing my blower from watching your video .I want to say a huge Thank you man.

    I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.

    That’s EXACTLY what’s wrong with my Stihl leaf blower. Thanks so much for posting this. I was hoping that I hadn’t burned a hole in the piston or something. I will replace the carburetor. Thanks again.

    I had the same problem. Took carburetor apart and found the lever that works off the diaphragm (controls the fuel coming into the carburetor). If you adjust that valve the end that is pushed by the diaphragm should be flush with the top edge of that area. I used a box cutter straight edge to make the adjustment. You have to me bend the end up or down. I had to bend it up.

    Just repaired my bg86c. Just some info if it comes back still complaining of getting stuck while starting. Mine needed new bearings on the crankshaft. It would run for 5 minutes or so and then seize up almost solid. Start pulling on it later it would turn over just fine but kinda seize or pull hard like yours. I was almost going to throw it in the garbage thinking it was a piston seizing. Good thing I didnt. Had one side missing a few bearings so replaced both its good now. Probably the gas though in your case.

      Thanks for watching. Remove the air cleaner housing and slide the carburetor back away from the engine block. Then pump the purge ball... If you see fuel leaking out of carburetor, the carburetor is bad. Yes, I know, new carburetor. I have seen brand new carburetors that are faulty, especially with aftermarket carbs.

    Having the same problem. But found the tank vent blocked an would build up pressure when setting in the barn an push gas into cylinder. Open cap an release pressure

    • @cbnx82703
      @cbnx82703 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Tank vent purpose is to hold In pressure, its a one way check valve it only allows atmospheric pressure in to equalize the tank to prevent a vacuum lock and starve the engine of fuel supply. People mistakenly think that vent is supposed relief pressure but that is false, all you have to is research Stihl diagnostic procedure for testing tank vent valves whether it’s fuel cap type vented cap or a separate remote tank vent valve, this is factually accurate!

    • @RaleysSmallEngines
      @RaleysSmallEngines  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes vertical lines on piston equals needs cylinder and piston. If it's on muffler side it's from no oil in gas. If it's on intake side it's vacuum leak or carburetor too lean.

    • @RaleysSmallEngines
      @RaleysSmallEngines  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thatBroErick the oil should be mixed when you put it in the tank. Look inside the tank and pump the ball to be sure it's not pushing fuel out of the fuel filter. It should be coming out of the return line if they are installed correctly
