    Great video explaining everything in detail. Just a side note the fuel filter can easily be removed through the gasketed opening on the top side of the fuel tank.

    This was the perfect video for my Stihl leaf blower problem. Thanks for making this video! It helped me in diagnosing the problem and replacing the carburetor myself. I really appreciate it!

    Great video, having the same issue with my SC86C, basically the same machine except it’s a shredder.
    My local Stihl dealer is clueless … this video sheds light as to exactly what is going on. Carb kit already ordered and I’ll be doing this myself. Thanks for the video and saving me some cash no doubt 👍🏼

    Great video ...only I wished you explained what causes the lick of the petrol in the Mafla....can the carburettor can be fixed ?

    • @PilotViewProductions
      @PilotViewProductions  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry Tony for not making that abundantly clear. The carburetor was faulty and causing petrol to flow unburned into the cylinder where it could not be expelled quickly enough (also causing me not to be able to pull the starter cord because there was so much fuel in the cylinder preventing the piston from moving normally). Yes, I'm certain the carburetor could be repaired, however; there are plenty of videos showing carburetor repair. I have found replacement of the entire carburetor to be more cost effective (using after market...aka...Chinese parts) than spending time ordering diaphrams that may not fit and cleaning carburetor jets. I felt better knowledge could be garnered by showing the average leaf blower owner with average skills, a cheap and effective way to fix their machine. Cheers

      @@PilotViewProductions It was very kind of you to explain my question about the petrol in the Mafla
      ....now I know it is a carburettor problem ...and thank you again for the advise it is cheep to buy
      a new carburettor than to try to fix it . .I may disturb you again in the future !

    What is the purpose of the extra plastic port that you had to drill a hole through the air filter tray for ?

    • @PilotViewProductions
      @PilotViewProductions  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The new primer bulb assembly was different and had an extra input nipple that the older one did not have. See 8:46.

    I had the identical situation with my Stihl BG 56c , after ordering new carbeurator and plug and air filter it still takes 20 pulls to get it to start and pumps gas all over the floor. After rebuilding starter assembly as was gas locked in piston and $ 20 for carb and still a bitch to start and still pumping gas out

    • @PilotViewProductions
      @PilotViewProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that. Is it possible the difficulty starting could be a carb adjustment?

    Did you notice when you put the gaskets on the carb you covered up the vent hole in the middle of the carb and when you put the handle cover on you did not move the wires from the on off switch out of the way of the screw hole

    • @PilotViewProductions
      @PilotViewProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I moved the wires before final assembly. The gaskets were not covering any holes as was evidenced by the smooth operation and idle at the end. Thanks for commenting.
