Excellent diagnosis on this two cycle. I enjoy the taco Tuesday's as well. It just makes me hungry though. Never had a breakfast taco. Glad you had a diaphragm on hand. Runs great and should be an easy sell. Thanks for the videos.
Question I bought a echo curved shaft same model for 20.00 And it ran for most of the day then I was tired and took it home from a job and noticed that the whole engine was twisted with the gas tank up on top don't know why I didn't notice that but I took and fixed it so it was on the bottom and it has the same problem as your straight shaft was having could it be the diaphragm or would it be something else as it's spitting 2cycle gas out the exhaust and it wasn't before which means it's flooded I assume trying to fix it myself kraig from Washington State
Mine wouldn't start so I installed a new sparkplug and it started strong but would turn off after a couple of seconds. So I replaced the carb with a new one and would run but would turn off unless I kept throttling it but after a while it would turn off completely. So now I've replaced the air filter and the fuel filter and not only does it still turn off after a minute but now it's leaking fuel through the air filter compartment. The air filter was half soaked. Is the air filter salvageable? I soaked it as much as i could with a napkin. This 225 is about a year old. And all the parts i replaced are new. Any idea what may be wrong?

Have you tried changing your fuel? Maybe go to a different gas station.
