This is great! I fractured my tailbone at 9 years old. No one could tell me how to effectively stretch this area. I still get pain when it’s cold, or I’m abnormally tight and this pulls on my lower back. I’m a pilates instructor and pretty flexible which makes certain stretches pretty challenging.
Fractured my coccyx, after falling backwards, from edge of my bathtub, no pain for first two months( surprisingly) than, I lifted a power battery(about 25lbs) and, that was it, severe pain from sit to stand, after mopping, any sitting for too long, or too much walking! I had cortisone injections, into the sacroiliac joints( helped for two weeks) and now, am doing PT! Dancing and swimming were what I LOVED doing, and, my pain management doctor said......no more😥

I have been doing the exercise with the ball mainly. The first day, the pain got worse. I think because it has been blocked for so many years. Now I try to get the flexibility back. Still painful, but improving. There is a difference between the left side and the right side, I was not aware of before. Now I am determined to fix this long lasting problem, as I have been ignoring it for so long. Not there yet, but working on it, since this video. X
@@leemartinez9211 if your tailbone is at an angle it needs to be fixed. I had one hip that was off and it pulled my tailbone to the right. Physical therapy put my hip back and did some adjustments on my tailbone. Please look into that and see if they can help you.
I've had this issue for a couple years. I finally found a chiropractor that would actually manipulate the tailbone. With my clothes on. I saw him about six months and then he moved 9 months ago. So I can't wait to try especially that first exercise. A year of physical therapy didn't do anything. So glad you showed exercises that actually make sense.
I was recently in a bicycle accident…. Cracked pelvis, cracked collarbone, broken wrist, concussion….. 2 weeks later, what hurts the most is my bruised tailbone. All the stretching I tried isn’t making a noticeable difference… I watched your video and am doing a modified exercise , laying on my side, and rolling a racket ball along my tailbone…. I’m feeling so much better - might be ready to try it from a sitting position tomorrow…. THANKS
This is just the info I've been looking for. After an hour or so on my motorcycle, my tailbone is screaming. Got a different seat and it helps a little but I really think this will help tremendously. Thanks for sharing Doc!
One of my friends pulled away the chair I was about to sit on resulting in me falling right on my tailbone. I felt almost immediate pain but I thought it would go away. It did not, after 15 mins I decided to go to the doctor's office of my school where the pain got unbearable. My dad was called to take me to the hospital where we found out I bruised my tailbone. Long story short, I couldn’t take a sh!t properly for a weak. Don’t ever think of doing that to anyone as insignificant as it may seem.
Ever since Covid hit, I'm less active and started having tailbone pain over a year ago. Constant sitting propped up on my bed watching TV or reading. I think this is exactly what I've been looking for.
I have a slight case of spina bifida .. when I was young the Drs said prepare for this ( pain) to get worse, so over the years, I have had times where I haven't been able to literally walk . it normally feels a million dollars better when I get ( i don't know if it's my sacrum or my tail bone )to click .. and it's like all this pressure is released .. but in the last couple of months, I haven't been able to click it. so I have had this constant pain that stops me from doing my favorite thing - walking. I tried doing the feet on the wall exercise ( it is a variation of what my physio told me to do ) already after 10 mins of that - the pressure has decreased.. so thank you very much !! you have no idea how frustrating this pain has been. now tonight perhaps I can get a decent night's sleep.

Best video I’ve seen on reducing tailbone pain. I’ve started these practical exercises. So far, after finishing each exercise, when I go into standing position, it really hurts and I hear clicks in the spine. I’m sure its because I have really weak muscles but I will persist with it. I have had this pain for over a year now. Physiotherapy hasn’t helped. I will do the exercise you demonstrated in this video and really hope, it will give me the much needed relief. Thank you
The hole in one really works on my tail bone pain. I had pain there for 3 months after falling onto the edge of table. I knew it wasn’t broken because the pain was only when there was muscle pull from sitting down.( such as on the toilet). After only one session with the ball exercise, no pain when sitting. I will continue to do the strengthening exercises. Thank you.

Hello! I have a few questions I would like to ask. 1. Is it normal that I’m only a 20 years old athlete experiencing this? I never fell on my coccyx but I had really bad sitting posture and currently fixing that. 2. I have been feeling pain during bowel movements when I started experiencing this. Is that a symptom of coccyx pain? 3. What should my sleeping position be like for the least amount of pressure for my lower spine? Thank you so much for responding in advance and helping me improve my physical health with this video!
Very Informative. The verbal instructions as well as the visual examples were extremely helpful. Thank You for taking the time to make this video. Good things to you.
Incredible. I've had tailbone pain for two and a half years and it's made life miserable. I'm pretty sedentary as I do computer work for a living so many hours sitting at the screen, followed by more hours at home. Doing the first sitting exercise in Part Two: Move It! gave me immediate relief for the first time in ages. I initially did 5 back and forth repetitions as you showed before I got a bit tired as I was trying to do as you said and get more movement in each time so I was pushing as best as I could. That was enough to make the pain vanish. After you said to do 10 to 15 repetitions I went ahead and did another 5 the same way and I'm feeling great right now. I'll be doing the other exercises regularly now. Thank you Dr. Rowe, I am so very grateful for this information that actually works. I feel like I can't thank you enough, really.

My tailbone was broken when I was about 11. Dropped from a rope seat about 15-20ft really! Malicious boy! Dr. Christopher read my eyes and made me aware of it. (22yrs old) I didn’t believe him till I reached back and felt my tailbone, it was curved up like a ducks tail and off to the side . He suggested a compress of comfrey and carrots which I did for a short time. It did help the curve straighten some…guess I should of done it longer! But he told me that I would have arthritis there! Duh, I didn’t believe him! Well about 5+ yrs ago is when I started to notice it, thus it exacerbated to the point no amount of sitting was comfortable. I now notice it there with some days worse than other days, good but always aware of it! Now, a young 69yrs. I will try your exercises and see if it helps. @@Nikkiole84 hi,how's ur pain now?
Hello Dr My name is David and I am a Junior Physiotherapist and I've learnt alot from your videos.
I just did the last two exercise and felt relief from the coccyx pain I sustained 2 days ago.
So so so helpful, Thankyou so much. Been very poorly, lots of time in hospital beds etc, then as I started to do the odd chore, completely crippled with pain, ...almost instant relief!!
Glad to hear you got instant relief, and thanks for watching!
Hospital beds are the worse, no comfort at all
Thank you soooo much for your videos sir. You are a reason I have not lost total faith in Doctors. Your assistance is a lifesaver, and you fulfill the role you were sworn to, and I appreciate it.
Happy to help, and I hope these videos also help for a long time to come. Thanks for watching!
Hope the exercises help for a long time to come, and please give us an update in the near future!

@@mariamarino138 Hi Maria!! Im Martin from Sweden, I have the exact same problems and i agree this is a nightmare.…i have visit a specialist in Sweden on tailbones eight months ago and had two injections with cortison and the first injection helped me so much that my pain was 90 percent gone..but the second time it was not so good so now i will get a surgery in this autumn, and what i found on the patients in Sweden is that 9 of 10 gets good..so there is help to get a better life from this severe pain..
These videos give me the belief that I can be better again when nothing else has. Trust, when you have legit pain, you could care less about how silly it seems. Right now I can't sit and can barely lie down. That means no driving, comprising my ability to work, to sleep, every aspect of my life. THANK YOU for giving people like me hope.

Notice any difference? I fell from an indoor playground on my bottom and my tailbone is off towards the left and I have terrible sciatica and pain in the tailbone the chiro adjustments I had only agitated it further I’m desperate for relief
@@brightantwerp has the ball method helped you any further?
I've had this issue for a couple years. I finally found a chiropractor that would actually manipulate the tailbone. With my clothes on. I saw him about six months and then he moved 9 months ago. So I can't wait to try especially that first exercise. A year of physical therapy didn't do anything. So glad you showed exercises that actually make sense.
Hope the exercises help, and please give us an update soon.
I am shocked. Was very sceptical about this set of exercises. Did not do the ball one, but did the rest. And it is absolute magic! Love it.

THANKS
Glad you're getting relief!

@@minglee649 hi,how's it now? Are u able to slouch back now?
Hope you get some quality sleep and please give us an update soon.
Fell on my tailbone 30 years ago roller skating. it has become severely worse past couple years 😖😭 severe burn pain .

Thank you
Glad it helped!
Thank you.

1. Is it normal that I’m only a 20 years old athlete experiencing this? I never fell on my coccyx but I had really bad sitting posture and currently fixing that.

3. What should my sleeping position be like for the least amount of pressure for my lower spine?

Love that as a Massage Therapist (retired after 45 yrs) I had suggested some of these exercises to my clients. Not this tailbone one lol ! You’re very refreshing so thanks and keep helping others!
