I broke my tailbone off 25 years ago after a very hard fall down an entire flight of stairs. After the bone had to be removed i wasnt given any after care bh the surgeon just patted me on the back and shoved me out the door. I've had level 11 pain for all these years. I have a rare genetic eye disorder and I'm going blind now, and need to get up and be more active, but that was impossible with the pain from that area. I did the part with the football and the other movement you guys showed. I'm almost in tears to where the pain is almost entirely gone and it was instantly. I'm going to continue this and hopefully remain pain free. You both are phenomenal instructors and I am so utterly grateful to you both for sharing your knowledge. ❤❤❤ Thank you both.
Bob & Brad, You are god sent. I was desperate yesterday night, after 6 months of tailbone pain. I tried all wedge cushions, donut cushions and also took a steroid injection. I saw an earlier video of the pillow trick and have been following that since last month and that was the only relief in my life. This problem is so unaddressed. No doctor pays any attention to it and a patient lives a crippled disabled life. I have completely avoided going out, travelling, meeting friends, I avoid sitting and stay home isolated to avoid pain. Yesterday night I prayed hard and kept crying due to the pain and the fear of having this for lifetime and today I came across this video. You are truly god sent. I am sitting on a chair right now typing this message with 90% reduction in pain. I didn't have the back pod or ball but i saw your other hot and cold pack sock rice video and used that as a support and did this exercise thrice for 2 mins in the past 3 hours. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou So much. You guys should be awarded something precious for all the free service you are doing and for changing and touching our lives. ❤️ May god bless you with all the happiness in the world !
Everyday I seem to have a new ache and pain. And everyday, you guys do a new video on THAT day’s pain. I am seriously getting freaked out. lol. It’s like you’re reading my book…
You both are my go to for back pain. You make even our difficult days, with a little humor livable. Many of your exercises and, “do this and not that” has helped me. Thank you. I purchased your massager and it really relieves my soreness at the end of the day. Bob, your in my prayers, stay strong.🙏🏻💕
Thank you so much for this! I fell two weeks ago and fractured my tailbone for the second time in my life. The first time, it jammed my SI bone just like you said and no one has ever told me how to fix that. It’s been painful for so long! I’ll definitely try this once the new fracture heals!
A fairly normal water sports whipe-out about 5 years ago is how I got mine, I've had chiropractic manipulation done for it and had a donut pillow but got discouraged when it did not solve the issue. I'm really glad I've found this video, not only is it super informative, but the humor is also healing. I'm off to binge this channel ❤
When I was in 4th grade, a classmate thought it funny and tripped me in PE class while I was running backwards. I experienced sciatic pain, hip pain, and lower back pain since. I am in my mid 50's now and live every single day with back pain. An MRI done several years ago, confirmed a fracture of the coccyx bone. This is the first time I have ever heard the issue addressed. Thank you!!! ❤
I can honestly say that the single most effective thing I have found to reduce the pain is accupuncture and several stretches. My acupuncturist has been working with me for over 2 years. Over time, it has significantly reduced my pain levels. I am finally almost pain-free for much longer periods of time.
I use the pillow for my tailbone pain. I roll it up like you did, and tie it on each side with a strip of cloth to hold it's shape. I make two pillows if I have alot of pain, one for each leg, and put them length wise under each leg at a slight angle. You will have to put a large pillow on ur lower back to be comfortable sitting back, if you are going to sit for awhile. This is very comfortable. Once in awhile u will have to reroll your pillows again, as they get flat the more u sit on them. You will know when...for me about 6 to 8 weeks. I tried everything, and I mean everything else. This works. Ps:I love your videos. I tell everyone I see about the two most famous physical therapists on the internet...in my opinion of course....lol.
I fell down a set of steep carpeted stairs in 2003 or so. I also fell on the ice in my driveway around 2004-2005. When I drive I constantly have to move & adjust myself bc after sitting for any legth of time it hurts soooo bad. I didn't have insurance at the time so I never got it checked out. I've noticed it has hurt more since I slipped on a tray in the concession stand in 2014 & landed on my left hip (ball & socket direct impact). Again didn't have it checked for same reason. I am hoping that one of these things you all shared will help me. Thank you for the videos you put out!
I already have degenerative disc and a little scoliosis. I think what really did it was when I slipped on the last step going downstairs. For some reason there is no carpet on the last step, just hard wood. I slipped 3 times the same way. It was very painful being that the floors were solid wood.
I disagree Brad...you guys are great from the neck up. You two put a smile on my face everytime I watch one of your videos and there is not much better medicine than that. Thank you for everything you guys do. Very grateful.
Thank you for an updated video! Going to try this one sounds like this is what’s going on for me. Had a fall back in August and still in pain. Really need to get this tailbone feeling better
I have scar tissue in the area from a cyst. Sitting all day is brutal. I have to rise twice an hour but am overweight so standing desk doesn't work for very long. Tonight, I fell at just the wrong angle on my concrete floor. Ice and ibuprofen. At least you've given me hope - I'm caring for my mom on hospice and bed rest is going to be tough.
So sorry to hear this! Sitting all day is brutal. Try to get up and move around at least once every hour. We have a lot of exercises you can do while sitting as well as beginner's exercises to hopefully make your daily life a little easier. I have been dealing with my tailbone pain since the pandemic started. I had also given birth to my first baby 9 months before that and I have since given birth to my second baby.
I fell onto my tailbone and it took 15 years for Drs to figure out what was causing my pain. The pain would move to different areas. One Dr said he thought it was my hips, another put a lift in one shoe(3 days later was in wheelchair I couldn't walk) took lift out and could walk again. Another Dr said I was heavily overweight, I smoked, my mattress was lumpy(it was brand new) and I was depressed and need a psych eval. (I was depressed in 13 months my dad, grandfather and my mother passed away). My family Dr sent me to one last Dr. He found the problem just looking at my x-rays (that all the other Drs saw. My tailbone was broken. Had to take the last 2digits out cuz they were completely broke off. The third digit had broken but was still attached and healed kinda crooked. He wouldn't take it out uz it was attached to a nerve and said I only had a 50/50 chance of walking. I'm still in pain L4-L5 & S1. Not much they can do. I've got arthritis in back and neuropathy in my right leg.
We are very sorry to hear this. It's frustrating when no one can figure out our pain for sure, and then things just seem to get worse. We certainly hope you are doing better in both your physical and mental status. Take Care!
Thank you for this helpful video. I broke my tailbone 29 years ago. It’s bothered me ever since, but lately more than usual. Looking forward to trying your suggestions.
Same thing with my last child who is now 35! Pain every day. Then I had a fall hiking and another using a walker to recover from a femur fracture. I am frustrated but “ misery loves company “. 😊
We are so sorry to hear this. Hopefully this will help when your occasional pain flares up. We hate to hear people have been suffering from one injury for such a long time after.
@sumiyatariq2727 I also didn't fall, but have pain exactly as they described and I've had it for about 11 months now. I'm going to try this and see if it helps. Did you give it a go?
@@jazzmoos5382 Thanks for telling me, I didn't know that! It would have made all the difference, and I'll try to find one of those the next time. I had decided to never fly again but this is a game changer. 🙂👍
I clicked so quickly on this video! Unfortunately, I had a really bad snowboarding fall in 2018, and my tailbone has hurt me ever since! I am so relieved to know there is something I can do about it. Thank you!
I think I cracked my tailbone falling on my rollerskates or rollerblades and it did not show up in the X rays. But I did something to my left gluteous maximus by rollerskate dancing ( for 6 hours which I think a yoga class before would had prevented the Sciatica). The pain in the left gluteous seems to be lessoning, but my tailbone is hurting. Even though I am not skating right now until I can see the orthopedic, i do wear my skate hip/butt pads for everyday, i just started doing this today.
I use one of those u shaped cushions. Most can be used in anywhere you sit. They do help if you find the right one for you. I got one that was soft memory foam ones. Firm was too hard for me. I also have a thick pillow i put behind me that helps keep my posture upright in a comfortable position where i dont slouch. For me, the pain i feel is mainly a dull ache. Usual when i sit in hard chairs, lean over, reaching, or sit in an unusual way, or lift anything more than 10 pounds that is bottom heavy. Its really an uncomfortable feeling. I think it also affects my nerves in my hands. My fingers twitch. It does go away and I have good days. It's just I never know what will aggravate it.
Aw, that’s painful. 🙁 There’s a special way of doing X-rays for the coccyx. Not all doctors know about it. I learned about it on The Tailbone Doctor’s website (Dr Patrick Foye). You could search for it. I told my doctor, then she read it and was able to communicate that to the technician. It’s very specific. Also, Dr Foye developed an X-ray technique that focuses on the tailbones much better.. called a coned down X-ray. But I think he’s the only one that has this machine, and he’s in New Jersey.
Sir my coccyx is sticking out and I can feel it when touched but it doesn't hurt at normal times but bit hurts during sit ups. I wanna join the defence force.. can u please tell me how to resolve it please.
You guys are great,,,i was in a hospital bed for 4monrhs and now have nerve pain attached my spinal cord,,MRI shows a bunch of nerves bunched together which gives me pain when walking or bending over or laying flat on the bed....what kind of exercises can i do to help,,,,they dont want to do surgery cuz its in a very delicate location......please help...thank you
I have SI joint issues that my chiro has really worked wonders for. I don't have tail bone issues though. You mention sacrum and si joints that using the back pod would be good for, even without tail bone pain? O have watched you guys fur a few years and just love your show, I've introduced you to friends and family and increased your viewership. Im stii trying to win that sleep ovation bed!!
Mine has been crooked/broken in childbirth over 40 years ago. I can’t sit! I’ve tried everything even rectal manipulation. Ive taken pain medication for all those years. I either stand or lay down, however I’m getting older and get tired from standing. My biggest fear is someday being confined in a wheelchair. I would rather die . Oh I hope your info can help.
I had a similar experience but was fortunate to recover eventually. Also glad the baby recovered too as he was born unconscious. Got some funny looks in the special baby unit from the staff when I tried to sit. I wonder, would it help if you sit on a ring?.
@@wendyrowland7787 when I fractured my tailbone, I was given a donut ring to use. It really helped. That was about 20 years ago. I still have trouble sitting on a hard surface or on anything that’s not padded.
I live my life standing too. It’s really hard living this way.. I stand at the kitchen table to eat. Stand a lot to watch TV. Stand everywhere and people want me to have their seat! Walking is good. Sometimes a TENS unit helps temporarily. Or a heated flax sack while laying on my stomach. I hope you can find relief. For me, I have lived with this for several years and know it’s not going away. If I have to live with it I try not to let it take control of my life mentally. Hang in there! Attitude can be a life changer.
I have a crooked tailbone from a fracture, it's pointing to the left. Is this exercise appropriate for me? Or is this only for it being jammed into the sacrum?
I am experiencing pain around the tail bone area (mostly on the right side) while I get up from my sleeping position....can't walk properly for a min or two....pls suggest some appropriate exercise...
I’ve been doing a lot more sitting on a golf cart, changed jobs. I use a coccyx cushion already - have had a problem a few years ago with severe tailbone pain and chiropractic care saved me. My Chiro is out of town for a few weeks now. I’m starting to feel the same sensation now, not pain or discomfort yet, what do you recommend I do so that this does not develop into the same problem I had before?
Thanks guys. I wrote to you a while ago about this stuff. You rock for listening and trying to help! Much appreciated! Your videos are often helpful. I’ve been suffering with hyper-mobile + damaged tailbones, and tipped sacrum, for several years with no relief. tried everything. I can’t sit or lie on my back. These things also trigger a whole slew of other connected problems. It’s crazy that most Doctors don’t have knowledge or answers when it comes to the tailbones (plural), or even the sacrum. And most think it’s not a thing - not real. Thank you for acknowledging that this is real. The Tailbone doctor (Dr Patrick Foye) in New Jersey might also be helpful to some people. Although he wasn’t able to help me, he has helped a lot of other folks with coccydynia. However he completely ignored the tipped sacrum. I’ll definitely try your tips for that.
Hi Bob, and Brad. You mentioned that if you raise the legs the ligaments/nerves maybe too lose around coccyx/pelvis? I have pain in my hip, and when I press my sacrum area there is pain. I can't walk unaided for one month. Do you have a video related to this? I can raise my leg but it hurts in my hip, but sacrum only when pressed
I fell on cement on my left knee very hard (dodging a car that made a wrong turn) and after 6 months of groin, tailbone, and hip pain that shoots down my leg a CT scan showed a dislocated 2nd coccyx vertebrae. Will this treatment work for me?
I fell off of the pull-up bar over a decade ago and I still have tailbone pain. I'm going to try this exercise I really hope this is the one that will help me. I hear physical therapist can go in rectally to do manual physical therapy. I'd rather not have to go that route for obvious reasons I don't think the physical therapist wants to go that route either LOL
I have had the rectal therapy. It was very painful for me, but it worked for awhile. I can remember crying about the pain and thanking the therapist at the same time for what she was doing. My tailbone was veering to the left. Lol. Unfortunately, I moved and now cannot find someone to do it. Also, I was taking more pain meds at that time so I could handle it. Since then the Dr. has reduced the meds. Sooooo.
What if you're hypermobile and your tailbone sticks in? Actually, it moves back and forth but really hurts when it sticks in. I do go to PT and do both activating and release yoga but can't always get that dratted tailbone to stop hurting me sometimes. Can't ever lie on my back without a coccyx wedge cushion and not while I'm sleeping at all. For reference, I do also have a pelvic floor issue from surgery. Sure would like a solution! Thank you.
Yeah fell at 16 right on my butt I suffered over a year or more. My parents did nothing. I didn’t find out until I was in my 30’s getting my first MRI that I broke it. Now 30 some years later I still have pain. I have even tried your exercise but nothing helps.
I have had coccydynia since the birth of my first child 51 years ago. This was confirmed with xrays. I learned how to sit to avoid pressure on my coccyx until earlier this year when I had a laminectomy and fusion/bone grafts. I can no longer sit to avoid pressure on the coccyx other than sitting on a diningroom chair with my weight under my thighs (ie sitting forwards). I have tried a special cushion with no success. My question is, are your suggested exercises recommended for post laminectomy (6 months ago) and if not what other options do I have besides surgery, to be able to sit on a normal chair, as these all have a gentle slope backwards which negates any attempt to sit forwards?
Hey, Is this approach for Anterior or Posterior angulation of the coccyx?? I have an anteriorly angulated coccyx caused from cycling for long hours continuously for some days.
my l4 cracked one time they took x rays it showed my lower back is compressed vertebrae and sometimes when i lay flat my lower back snaps like a uncooked carrot is there anything that can be done
I'm 65 when I was 16 I flopped on a couch, the cushion was off a little, hit the wood and cracked my tailbone. At 17 I has surgery to remove the tip that cracked. Since I got older developed arthritis there. Will this help that? I'll try because my tailbone sticks out like you said. I own many seat cushions with the tailbone opening, it's very painful. Thanks for the info.
We certainly hope so, but it would depend exactly on your situation. It wouldn't hurt to try it. We would be interested to hear if it does help you in your situation
@@BobandBrad I can't start for a few weeks because I recently had abdominal surgery but as soon as I get the OK I will be on the floor. I think laying on a foam roller would work as long as I can put my feet up. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks
You know, I'm just taking a moment and saying thank you for what you are doing. I don't need to mention it, but, we are, at best 37th in health care. You can leave and find better health care in 36 other countries. You can go to, for example, to Columbia, South America (they have GREAT health care) and get 22nd. It's stunning to say the least. Though, I really like the study from 2017 where we ranked in 54th place (Macedonia was 55th). Keep doing what you're doing because the health care is strangely poor in America.
I was diagnosed with kidney cancer and lost 80 pounds within a few months. Since then I have had pain in coccyx area but I don't think it's the point of tailbone that hurts but one of the little protruding bones pokes me from the inside and always has a sore spit inside like it rubs. I have to sit off center because it hurts to set straight. Any ideas since as I gain weight it isn't gaining in that area
What not to do is have it removed as I did I suffered from a double fracture on my tail bone it was excruciating.I went for surgery hoping to get relief Wrong I suffer every day just sitting on a chair is so painful rolling up the pillow is good but your legs go numb after a while.
This video answered my question on which football on the bookcase belonged to which PT. Team Brad, Go Pack 💚💛! But I live in St Paul so a little love for Bob too 😅
Wow!! I got cortisone shots in my tailbone two separate times, but I’ve never fallen. I have a Tarlov cyst on my tailbone, and it’s so painful. It felt like there was a rock in my butt crack all the time… very painful! The shots help my pain, but of course it hurts to get them 😢
Wow, I am so sorry 😞 that sounds so painful. 😢 I have had pain like that for over 20 years. Had all those test amd MRIs and they only said it isn't bad enough to need surgery.. wtf? Does that mean...ugh and here I sit, stand, walk and cry in constant pain 24/7 and nobody seems to care. I don't trust Dr's any more.
I have recently been having severe pain in this area I do have arthritis and I fell backwards maybe eight months ago and landed on my butt on a case of water I was bringing in groceries & slipped on a plastic bag. Why it waited so long before I get any type of problem I don’t know i’m in physical therapy right now and they are treating me for piriformis they seem like they’ve never heard of this I’m about to let them know and see what they think they won’t give me an MRI until I have completed physical therapy. It hurts to drive do you have any suggestions I saw the pillows but how can you put pillows under your legs when you’re trying to drive? I usually just try to be on one hip or the other but then getting out of the car I almost have to scream it hurts so bad I really have been watching you guys you’re excellent even my PT therapist had heard of you guys when I told them I had locked up piriformis and he knew your names anyways any suggestions are appreciated for the car and try to drive with some comfort that is safe thanks
I use a wedge cushion with a coccyx cut out for the car. It's not perfect, but it does help. Car seats are the worst because of the backwards, downwards angle that puts so much pressure on your coccyx. I don't recommend using a wedge cushion on normal seats, I find the wedge (even though it has a cut out) puts more pressure on the tailbone (from each corner of the cut out in my case). Another thing I've used (and even took it flying) was a pool noodle. I bought 1, chopped it up and tied the 3 pieces together and then put them in a pillow case. I love sitting on bench seats because I can hang my tailbone over the edge without any pain (as he describes with the rolled up cushion here). The great thing about the pool noodle is that it can make any seat like a bench seat! It's also SO much cheaper to buy 1 pool noodle and some string and put it in an old pillow case than to buy a proper physio therapy cushion as those things can be very expensive! (And no where near as helpful in my experience).
Thanks to Brad Team for recommending this video to me. I’m going to a chiropractor later this week I’ll have her check my iliac. I bought one of the retail donut pillows but it was making it worse. I think if I fold the pillow in half and place it under my thighs it might work.
I have hairline fractured my tailbone twice. In 2008 & 2014 an all theses years later I’ve developed a bone spur on it. It hurts to sit. I have to try position myself on one cheek to the other and lean. I also have the ball off my foot that has a bone spur on it and the opposite knee buckles and goes out on me with a shooting pain. I spend most of the day laying on my stomach with my hope chest in front of me as if were a table. Which I’m leaning on my elbows and that is starting to really bother my shoulders. Let’s just say I’m a wreck. But you said I wish this was a packers football 🏈 I lol’d 😂. Laughter is the best medicine.
Hey Bob & Brad, I’ve been dealing with knee instability ever since I was 10, I play soccer and I either sublux or dislocate my knee once a season. My surgeon just recommended I do an MPFL Reconstruction and Tibial Tubercle Osteotomy. What’s your opinion on this procedure? Have you had to treat patients with it? I would really appreciate if you guys replied 🙌🏼, thanks!
Here is a video we did on that, though we do like to try to avoid surgery if at all possible. Sometimes it is not possible unfortunately : th-cam.com/video/apgyTvfvEhU/w-d-xo.html

I didn’t have a fall or anything , just a plane journey of 3 hrs I got this n it’s been for a year now . My X-ray and mri show everything is alright. Then y the pain isn’t going away with exercises etc please help
I NEED HELP!!! I can’t lay down on the floor or any harder flat surface without adjusting my buttocks so it’s at an angle- either I have to scoot my buttocks back or tuck my hips forward to get off of a bone sticking out at the very top of the buttocks crack. Is there anything I can do at home for this? The area isn’t painful but it’s also numb. Is this a tailbone injury or a sacrum injury???
My coccyx hurts when I lift my leg. Wondering what I could do to fix it. My injury was cause by the seat of a bike. I was cycling when a child ran in front of me. My breaks weren’t going to stop fast enough so I jumped off the bike, feet straddling the bike. My coccyx took the full force of the (boys) bike seat. The pain comes and goes. It’s worse when I cycle or go to the toilet. But lately it hurts me more often than not.
😩 ohhh, I feel your pain. The Tailbone Doctor told me years ago to never ride bikes or go horseback riding or anything similar because it will only make it worse. The coccyx is so vulnerable. Give it time. Maybe with any luck it’s just bruised. Meanwhile you could try a TENS unit (the cheap ones from WM are good). I find heat soothing sometimes. Good luck, and hang in there.

Thanks Guys for helping me heal lower back pain. Now I will try tailbone excercise as I just fell backward on my floor.
This idea looks promising. I will try it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!!
Hi,is your pain gone???
I fell down a set of steep carpeted stairs in 2003 or so. I also fell on the ice in my driveway around 2004-2005. When I drive I constantly have to move & adjust myself bc after sitting for any legth of time it hurts soooo bad. I didn't have insurance at the time so I never got it checked out. I've noticed it has hurt more since I slipped on a tray in the concession stand in 2014 & landed on my left hip (ball & socket direct impact). Again didn't have it checked for same reason. I am hoping that one of these things you all shared will help me. Thank you for the videos you put out!
We hope it helps too! Best of luck
I already have degenerative disc and a little scoliosis. I think what really did it was when I slipped on the last step going downstairs. For some reason there is no carpet on the last step, just hard wood. I slipped 3 times the same way. It was very painful being that the floors were solid wood.
Would a folded towel work as well? I've been in constant pain from my tailbone and low back for over 10 years.
I use a pool noodle cut down. Works well and cushy.
Yes, we do use a rolled towel when we don't have any of the gadgets
I disagree Brad...you guys are great from the neck up. You two put a smile on my face everytime I watch one of your videos and there is not much better medicine than that. Thank you for everything you guys do. Very grateful.
Love you two, always give us a laugh in with the serious. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you for saying that :) It's really nice to hear!
If you're interested here are a couple links to those videos:

I have been dealing with my tailbone pain since the pandemic started. I had also given birth to my first baby 9 months before that and I have since given birth to my second baby.
Same here
I fell onto my tailbone and it took 15 years for Drs to figure out what was causing my pain.
Take Care!
Thank you so much 🥺🥺 I’ve tried so many bike seats and this pain has stopped me from wanting to bike. I’m excited to try these techniques!
Good luck! Please let us know how you do!
Hi,are u pain free now?
Haven't had tailbone pain in 45 years when I fell roller skating but had to know what could of helped cause it hurt bad for almost a year.
We are so happy to hear you are no longer suffering from it! A lot of times, the pain lingers for years.
Thank you for this helpful video. I broke my tailbone 29 years ago. It’s bothered me ever since, but lately more than usual. Looking forward to trying your suggestions.
Did it work? How are you feeling now?
Wish I’d known this 40 years ago after delivering my last child! I had pain there for many years! No dr seemed willing to do anything.
Same thing with my last child who is now 35! Pain every day. Then I had a fall hiking and another using a walker to recover from a femur fracture. I am frustrated but “ misery loves company “. 😊
Broke my Coccyx when I fell off a horse 33 years ago. I had regular pain for nearly 20 years & still get occasional pain now.
We are so sorry to hear this. Hopefully this will help when your occasional pain flares up. We hate to hear people have been suffering from one injury for such a long time after.
Im soooooo glad you posted this!!!ive suffered with coccydynia since april 2019
Hope this helps!
What if u never fell n have pain when u sit what can that person do @BobandBrad
@sumiyatariq2727 I also didn't fall, but have pain exactly as they described and I've had it for about 11 months now. I'm going to try this and see if it helps.
Did you give it a go?
Good video, great info! Wish I had seen this before my last airplane trip. It was really painful and I think this would have been very helpful.
Do you know that some airlines offer seats that lie down? It’s a thing! It might save you a lot of pain and grief.

Thanks for telling me, I didn't know that!

Thank you!
I did the same roller blading when I was young and it is still one of the worst pains I've ever experienced. It took years to stop bothering me.
Very happy to help, hopefully you will get some relief very soon
@rebeca Bob n Brad made a cocyx bone pain video 3-4 yrs back that shows heat pads &
cushion for seating with tail bone afloat.
LOL..if u wear your belt at the belly button🤣
Thanks as always! Bob and Brad taking time to fix a broken heart... Since that seems to be the only treatment.
:)
Hi,how's it now?
Can you do a video on the sacralization of L5-S1 and how to treat it, it would be helpful. Thank you!
I will add this to our to do list and hopefully we can come up with a video to upload in the near future!
I think I cracked mine falling over a month ago and it still hurts. Wondering if I should get it x-rayed?
Aw, that’s painful. 🙁 There’s a special way of doing X-rays for the coccyx. Not all doctors know about it. I learned about it on The Tailbone Doctor’s website (Dr Patrick Foye). You could search for it.
I told my doctor, then she read it and was able to communicate that to the technician. It’s very specific.
Also, Dr Foye developed an X-ray technique that focuses on the tailbones much better.. called a coned down X-ray. But I think he’s the only one that has this machine, and he’s in New Jersey.
@@jazzmoos5382 thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate it!
Bob & Brad thank you for this video.
I fell early this morning on my tail bone. This helps. Thank you!
Sir my coccyx is sticking out and I can feel it when touched but it doesn't hurt at normal times but bit hurts during sit ups. I wanna join the defence force.. can u please tell me how to resolve it please.
You guys are great,,,i was in a hospital bed for 4monrhs and now have nerve pain attached my spinal cord,,MRI shows a bunch of nerves bunched together which gives me pain when walking or bending over or laying flat on the bed....what kind of exercises can i do to help,,,,they dont want to do surgery cuz its in a very delicate location......please help...thank you
If it hurts when I lay on my back is it ok to do?
@@bethanyDAWNsmith hey,do it still hurts while slouching back?
I have SI joint issues that my chiro has really worked wonders for. I don't have tail bone issues though. You mention sacrum and si joints that using the back pod would be good for, even without tail bone pain? O have watched you guys fur a few years and just love your show, I've introduced you to friends and family and increased your viewership.
Im stii trying to win that sleep ovation bed!!
Yes, the backpod can be used for several different things. Keep trying for the bed!! Never give up :)
We are so sorry to hear this. We really hope this can help you, if even just a little. Best of luck
@@wendyrowland7787 I’m so glad that you and your baby are now ok❤️
So does this make it realign so its not pertruding out
I have a crooked tailbone from a fracture, it's pointing to the left. Is this exercise appropriate for me? Or is this only for it being jammed into the sacrum?
How long does it take to recover from back tailbone pone injury I can't sit down at all three months now
Where can I buy that green massage ball thing ? Did they call it a back pop ?
There is a link in their description that sends you to Amazon. It’s pretty expensive.
Backpod - here is the link: amzn.to/2Ui7w9s #pdlink
Looking for a back pod and I see some with piece that is under it that looks like it raises and some that are flat. Is the flat one the correct one?
What position are your hips in when you are lying down? Anterior or posterior tilt?
We hope it helps!
What if I have too many vertebrae’s and a fractured cocoyx
What to do?
I fell on cement on my left knee very hard (dodging a car that made a wrong turn) and after 6 months of groin, tailbone, and hip pain that shoots down my leg a CT scan showed a dislocated 2nd coccyx vertebrae. Will this treatment work for me?
Thanks again guys... I really needed this info to aid in getting relief.👍🏾
happy to help!
Sooooo.
We really hope this helps!

What are you planning for your coccyx pain?
Mom has been suffering with this for 4 years. After a fall. Just trying to help her.
Hopefully this helps!
She says that it would hurt too much. :(
my l4 cracked one time they took x rays it showed my lower back is compressed vertebrae and sometimes when i lay flat my lower back snaps like a uncooked carrot is there anything that can be done

Thank you :)
I hope this works! Gonna try this when u get home
Do you provide internal manipulation of coccyx?
Hummm, got a tad confused when Brad laid on floor to then checking on SI joints
Bob and Brad you guys are amazing I'm a big fan from ireland
I was diagnosed with kidney cancer and lost 80 pounds within a few months. Since then I have had pain in coccyx area but I don't think it's the point of tailbone that hurts but one of the little protruding bones pokes me from the inside and always has a sore spit inside like it rubs. I have to sit off center because it hurts to set straight. Any ideas since as I gain weight it isn't gaining in that area
What not to do is have it removed as I did I suffered from a double fracture on my tail bone it was excruciating.I went for surgery hoping to get relief
Wrong I suffer every day just sitting on a chair is so painful rolling up the pillow is good but your legs go numb after a while.

We are very sorry to hear this. Hopefully this can help
Sorry to hear that did you do anything with the cause of the pain the tarlov cyst
I hope you can find relief. That’s a lot to deal with. Yes, a sense of humor DOES help.❤️

Hi,any relief?
I NEED HELP!!! I can’t lay down on the floor or any harder flat surface without adjusting my buttocks so it’s at an angle- either I have to scoot my buttocks back or tuck my hips forward to get off of a bone sticking out at the very top of the buttocks crack. Is there anything I can do at home for this? The area isn’t painful but it’s also numb. Is this a tailbone injury or a sacrum injury???
If it's when you're lying down, it sounds like the sacrum. If it's numb, it sounds like you have nerve damage or compacted nerves.
Yes, using the toilet - bowel movements cause me pain.
Mine is at 45 degree angle
