Beautiful job Brian. Thanks for the tips as always. I'm an avid semi-pro detailer and moving to incorporate spot repairs in my armoury. I've got a few cheapo guns (Chinese GTi Pro 1.3 and a LVLP Voilamart 1.3). I've got the Aeropro 610 coming in about a weeks time due to it being imported to England, UK. Heard so many good things about it and seen it in action on your channel and other reputable TH-camrs.
I've been watching your channel for a couple of years now, and haven't sprayed a darn thing. However, the amount of educational tutorials you pump out has got me somewhat confident I'll hit the ground running. Just need a few panels to get practising on and then we'll go from there. If it weren't for guys like yourself most of us newbs would be going in blind and destined for failure from the outset. So, thank you!
What size compressor are you using?
I followed all of Paint society’s training videos and used the 610 Hvlp gun with a 26gal compressor to paint my black 2009 VW Sportwagen and it turned out fantastic. I had zero experience painting a car. The results of following all of the steps from strip, sand, prime, block, clean, base coats, and clear coats. All done in an Arizona home garage; amazing results! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills.
Yeah that's the A610 package I got with the three tips. It was 59.99 on black Friday. Going to use it to paint a silver Prius shortly.
Hobbyist gun = absolutely
Professional spray gun = absolutely not
These guns can work a painter super hard with how slow they put out the material. Hvlp wacks it down wet , fast, and smooth like glass.
However!! I did enjoy this one! You did a amazing job!
Ty! I gotta go use it in the hotter months and see how it works. Paint was flowing on nice in this cooler weather
@@PaintSociety yes like winter time not a bad gun. Less material in the winter is better. Summer time, meehh.... MIGHT HAVE SOME DRY SPOTS 😎
This is true, but I was pleasantly surprised with how little overspray there was. I’m going to break up a complete spray of my project car. Just seems overwhelming to do the entire car at once, and this should help me keep a wet edge with this low volume gun.
@@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937yo what's up my guy! U think that 20gal oil lube McGraw that you use to paint with back in the day will run this gun good enough to paint a whole ef civic?
@@joshdane5657 I used that compressor to paint full cars before it will work
My toxic trait is thinking i can do this... it looks so easy.
You can do it mane, as long as you know it won’t be perfect the first few times lol
It’s not so hard. First few times your gona make a mess and screw up. But it’s like a fun habit/hobby try it!
Try it out. The most important thing to remember is always have a clean, smooth surface. Most of the end product relies on the preparation.
I bought 2 of these from yre Amazon store and got them the next morning at 8 am oh yea I used to paint I haven't painted in 5 years but I have a nice car I'm redoing these guns are awesome for someone that wants a show car finish keep in mind if you have never painted get some old doors hoods whatever and watch these videos on this channel and don't be overwhelmed about it practice trust me u can do it .I'm gonna do 3 basecoat s on my car and after that I'm doing 3 uv protected clear coat s. Wait 48 hours and then cut and buff it this car on this video looks awesome but imagine cutting and buffing it after 48 hours show car finish.you might say we'll cutting and buffing is hard ?well used to be in the older days but not anymore with these good priced buffers and these new pads its a brezze.Just remember it's all in yrr head follow these instructions on this video practice and be confident and you will see you can do it.yall have a blessed day.
The thing is that as long as your prep is good, it is somewhat easy to get a great final result. You may do some sweating to get there, but I think many people can get really good results.
There is a learning curve, but as long as you proceed carefully through stages, huge issues can be avoided. Where I think it really shines is that minor issues are correctable along the way. Common newbie stuff like runs, orange peel, etc. are able to be corrected to a perfect finish with very little extra cost aside from elbow grease.
I have use A610 and working great for clear 1.3mm but not sure is hood single stage and metallic paint & pearl white or any pearl or not hope some one can report here love to know about it
I do have Beetro too seller state can do good single stage for 1.4mm but not sure about metallic paint and pearl types paint
Do you have a video on setting up a home low volume compressor? Online filters and dryers for moisture? Things needed and recommended?
👆🏾this would be a great video.
The A610 looks the same as the other LVLP gun you reviewed a few videos back (YT-160). I asked the seller to confirm the air consumption of the YT-160 and they said 300L/min which is 10+ cfm. But in the description it says 3.0-3.9 cfm which is also the same rating for the r500 and the A610. So are these actually Lvlp guns if they consume 10 cfm. I just bought the yt-160 since it said 3.0 cfm at 30 psi but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
The R500 and its relabled counterparts are nowhere near 3-4 CFM. They're closer to 8-9, which still isn't that bad considering most painters don't spray continuously throughout a job. You'll be stopping here and there, which may help in a smaller compressor. Still, I wouldn't use anything too small.
The R500 is rated at 3.0-3.9 at 30 psi, the manual that came with the one I got awhile back says operating pressure is 28.5- 51 psi with a max of 60psi so I myself have been questioning this lately. I would assume at higher pressures it is gonna consume a higher cfm/ volume but I very well could be wrong.
I'm only 25 seconds in, but I gotta say! This is one for me (and the two following) cuz I am on a budget... Learning, AND on a budget. So thank you ... I commented early because you do good content and I know the rest will be great. So thank you again, from all us guys that don't have every tool known to man.
Aeropro 610 vs InoKraft drizzle D1 ... wich one is the best? 🤔 thanks!
Very nice work as usual Brian, those guns seem very good value for us home users (that may only get them out of the box twice a year) best wishes to you and your lovely family for 2024 🙏🇬🇧
Pressure for base and for clear on the a610?
What psi what you uaing for base and clear sir
Hello, Brian. What working pressure and nozzle sizes did you use on the A610? Hugs 🤗 from Ecuador 🇪🇨
@PaintSociety Hey Brian, Im spraying a 55’ Chevy cab with black epoxy primer using this gun. Its the first time attempting a job of this scope. How would you recommend I go about it? Which nozzle? What PSI? Should I spray from the top down, bottom up? Two medium coats, one light coat one medium coat? Anything you could advise would be greatly appreciated.
Another great video young man. Ordered the A610. That was a beautiful finish on that car. Thanks for the video!
Hey hey. Happy New Years Brian. Hope all is good. Thanks for taking us along. Looks like a decent gun for the money. Finish looked slick. Nice job as usual.
So you can buy 10 cheap guns for longevity and still be ahead of a sata.
It's definitely about that time for me to get a new spray gun looks like Christmas is going to come early this year 😂😂😂 keep it coming man appreciate your tip and tricks 👀 🍿
Lol this is what I got myself for Christmas. I don't know why but paint guns are addicting to me. I like hand tools also like wrenches and ratchets. I gotta problem 😂
@@joshdane5657 nothing wrong wit I little DIY save some money 😂😂 I might have the same problem 😂😂
Welp, i blew it on my single stage job, black, i have this gun, tons of orange peel and surface flaws, like to know how to correct it. Im really bummed.
how would this gun compare to the astro he103 that you had a video on a couple years back ? which one is the better base gun which one is the better clear gun in your opinion? thanks
Did you change from the 1.3 through all the stages? Thank you!
Great tips on watching what you spray on the final coat of clear and going back a pass if needed to help avoid dry spots. The part about not going back over areas of dry spray after about a minute or less is a real Gem! Thank you for all your efforts and awesome videos! Perfect for what I need help with. Your explanations on what you are teaching is on point to say the least! Happy new year Bro!!! 🎊🎊🎊
Yes. Trust me. It sucks. I think to myself i should have left it

I been hearing about a Chinese made gun (Porphis) brand that’s about 100 bucks and reviews say they are very high quality. Any thoughts or experience with these porphis guns?
Hi Manuel. Is this the Porphis that Pete's Hobbyist used and said was even better than the 610? It did look impressive on his vid. He said the atomisation and lack of overspray was superb.
@@as680783 yes actually he’s one of the main videos that made me look into them. Yea he said it was on par with the more expensive iwatas and devilbliss
I bought this spray gun I like a lot works very well😅
2 more versions have been released since the A-610 came out, both have a PPS adaptor.
Latest version is the Inocraft Drizzel.
All 4 of them are the exact same gun, just different coatings and accessories.
The 3rd version, the YT 160 ( came out after the A-610 and before Drizzel) comes with a PPS adaptor, cup, collar, and some liners and lids.
Oh nice! I will have to try
InoKraft, not Inocraft.
@@esteemedenergy Don't sweat the minor details mate.
Yea I'm glad you said this! I was going to but didn't lol. Yea by the time I bought an adapter and stuff I wish I waited for that drizzle lol. Weird name bc I don't want my gun drizzling but I like the upgrades it has like the lines on the knobs and stuff. But I guess since I got an adapter and pps cups I got the same thing just with red on it lol.
@@joshdane5657 Doesn't your A-610 have the lines on the knobs?
Mine does.
I just told Mario other day tell Brian get back in the booth!!! Lol. Stay out of the oven Brian!!! 😂 keep up the content brother ! Happy new year to you the wife the children and all of paint society family
Happy New Year! Haha ty
I think I’ll probably get this
First and foremost Happy New Year and thank you for another awesome video because they're all very inspiring👍
Happy New Year!
What are the brand of paints that you use?
For a left handed painter your index finger falls right under the air pattern knob. It is nice to move it to the back. You don't want a firearm that ejects hot shells in your face will left handed either. Nice.
What 3M PPS 2.0 adapter fits? Thanks!
So I got the A610 as my first LVLP gun, I bought a 27 gal tank too, going to try to repaint a 03 Accord. Im hoping to finish the bodywork tomorrow its got a really nasty, deep and long keyed scratch and some more small dings to work out! It should be around 93°f too should be woth the sweat. 🤘🏽 Thanks brian - im hoping I can find where I left my new painting suit befor I paint 😂
Brian, I recently purchased and used the Aeropro A610 LVLP spray gun. I'm very pleased with the gun but was wondering if a LVLP meets or exceeds AQMD or CARB requirements like an HVLP does? I've looked online and can't find an answer.
Seems that they have changed the cap ! It’s more like a devilbiss design now😮
I have the eastwood lt100 (supposedly same as r500), was gonna order a r500 so that i could experiment with more tips sizes, but when brian said this one has a bigger fan than the r500 i just clicked the affiliate link and bought the a610. seems like the cap/tip/needle is compatible? I have the 1.5 for the eastwood.
I just looked on Amazon for the A610 and I could only find the A608 or the R500. Have you tried the A608?
What equipment would you recommend that's not inexpensive (cheaper). Thanks
Question, when you taped up the cup so paint didn't flake off, could you use something like a food service hair net? Or would that not be effective enough?
Hey Brian love your videos great how to and DIY. I have a question so if I’m going to paint my car and have a 30 gallon AC I need to use LVLP instead of HVLP? I will have separators on wall and at gun. Thank you
Hey Brian, didn’t see it in the video description. What PPS adapter does it work with? I see multiple options on Amazon. Thanks!
Have you used the new black widow From Harbor freights if you had Can you please share your feedback on it
i just ordered this gun thanks to your video and now im trying to get the correct adapter. you mentioned the pps didnt fit exactly right, but didnt leak either. do you think the harbor freight adapters would and their system would work?
Man awesome job !! Videos r great !! I’m going to attempt a single stage satin black paint job on my dually any advice you can give me ?? Thanks, Eddie
Hey, I got a question for you. Do you know if I can paint a 2K basecoat clearcoat system over 1K rust oleum primer?
If this dude, co-sign for a spraygun- I go directly to the description for the Amazon link! Thanks Brian
I bought the r500 kit with 3 tips and a touch-up gun for 100 on Amazon. Haven't used it yet
Inspect the holes on the airhorns, they usually are off centered. I didn't like the A610 because it uses a plastic bushing on the air valve plunger thing, the older R500 is oring which is smoother. The needle sets should be compatible with both models.
I notice some spray side to side with constant trigger pull and some release the trigger. Why? And is there a reason for each technique?
Your reviews are super!
Does the a610 work well on a small compressor. I have heard mixed stories.
Hola tengo un compresor de 24 litros y quiero pintar una puerta de coche que me aconsejas entre la a610 o la r500 cuanto consume en cfm las dos gracias
I have this gun, had to get another one, the first one was sputtering like crazy and leaking from the air cap
you could make a bad gun look good. your a good painter. i could use a 1000.00 gun and make it look bad. but thanks, i will keep these in mind.
Great video, what is the difference between operating pressures of an LV LP and an HVLP?
Can you suggest what clearcoat to use different brands some that are not way too spicy
In expensive gun's are one thing, the real serious cost, is the materials that are being shot through them, even on a budget these days, it's still a kick in the rear budget wise no matter what.
There are many cheap spray guns that can do a good job on the market. But being able to set your gun up for specific types of paint is very important. I love my Devilbiss Pro lite it’s very adaptable. If you want a nice home paint job put your money in your air systems, dirty contaminating air can ruin your day in a hurry.
Was the paint, pearl and clear sprayed with wide open pattern? Or for the clear you narrowed the pattern?
Gotta get an LVLP gun. Glad there's a new option available
how does this gun compare to the inokraft d1?
Would you recommend these guns using a turbine ?
I got them both and the 610 is superior
Nice results for a cheap gun. I might get one for the house.
hey Brian I like tht gun where can I get it at and happy new year 💯
That gun is GREAT! I had awesome results with it. I just painted a car for the first time and I couldn't be happier.
What size compressor did you use?
@TonyRomeNewMoney I had a 25gal from harbor freight. Probably around 3.5 CFM. Had no issues at all
@@eduardomalaquias297 thank you!
@@eduardomalaquias297 3.5 at 90psi ?
Following lol
I have a small compressor 3gal with 125psi Max. Is that beefy enough for a diy job? Thanks
i dont think thats come close to running it. I chose a 30gal for mine, but from what i read you need as big as you can get so its not running nonstop and you have a lil breathing room so you arent having to stop. Hope it helps. Theres some comments in the thread that give the required numbers so you can choose a suitable compressor
you used the 1.3 setup for this job i guess ?
I bought a 610 on your recommendation a few months ago. I haven't used it yet, but this video makes me happy that I got one!
#hepoops
Dang now I have to go and possibly switch my cart around I had the 3M gun in cart! Which one would prefer Also why is your cup taped?
he says why in the video lol
Good video. Nice job. Thank you
Great explanation Brian. Thanks boss!
Thanks Brian, for the great video and review of this Aeropro 610 gun. I was inspired by it and got one online. i haven't ever used a gravity fed gun before but was excited to try it. I repainted the roof and complete front of my wife's 2006 Jeep Liberty in bright silver. the original clear coat had completely deteriorated. After much prep work I repainted it in base coat clear coat following your guidance and it came out great. Thanks again for all your instructional video's.
"add base" right as the bass kicks in
I got the A610 and actually love this gun. Mostly because I use a small compressor and it works great with it. Lays paint down smooth every time. Thanks for the review Brian!
It surprised me!! Awesome
@@PaintSociety me too. I had seen a bunch of good reviews so I figured I would give it a shot.
If u don't mind me asking then what size compressor do you use? Thanks. I have this spray gun and a 20gal compressor hopefully it's enough lol.
@@joshdane5657 I have a California Compressor with a 10gal tank. I know that consistent air pressure keeps your gun spraying efficiently. I’ve actually painted my Harley with a HVLP DeVilbiss using this compressor and it came out great. You just have to take your time and hand off the trigger at the end of each pass. (Brian stop cringing lol)
@@johnsabia3793 lol thanks man. Yea sorry Brian but I think I'm going to attempt the job 😂 I wish I could just bring it to you especially since I know you've painted plenty of old hondas plus I'm in it too deep now and spent most of my budget. I've sprayed a fullsize Chevy hood with an old 10gal craftsman before and it came out great somehow
Brian, this gun is pretty much an Iwata Bellaria copy and parts do interchange so it does spray paint really good.
How do you know?
@@fredc8618 Know what?
I started my 92 mustang project with the eastwood LT100 and it worked great for doing epoxy primer, I then got the R500 as a back up to my Eastwood, well I did not care for that one at all. Did a good job but It just did not spray as good as the Eastwood. So I then heard about the A610. Got me one of them and loved how it sprayed color and clear. So I ended up sidelining the Eastwood and the R500 for the rest of the project. I have used the Eastwood to do a few pieces that needed to be epoxied and then sprayed Chassis black.
Man…. All those guns are actually THE SAME GUN. The A610 just has nickle plating and comes in a black finish. Sprays a bit wider but its literally an upgraded R500. Parts are in fact Interchangeable, and in fact because they are modeled after the Iwata, which also is interchangeable. Eastwood, R500, A610 They are all the same gun.
@@alejandroochoa3541 Oh, I get it, but that R500 sprays no where as nice as the eastwood or the A610. The dude that put that one together must have been having a bad day or something. I tore it down to see if there was a something wrong that I could spot, nothing. So, I save that gun for the jobs that are not that important.
Can you provide the part number for the pps adapter?

i love this a610 gun
easy to clean..... nice size fan... multiple tips... no brainer...
I usually leave my nozzles and tips in thinner when I'm not using them, so far been fine a few months.
And why did you tape your paint cup?
I am wondering this as well.
As a Paint cup gets used old paint, dries and flakes off into the paint, so I tape it so that Paint cannot come off.
The regulator is junk
Its not

I bought the A-610 kit from Aeropro, it came with 5 caps, starting at 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.7, and 2.0. I haven't used it yet, but I'm excited to see what it will do. Brian I wanted to ask you 2 questions about the Corvette you did for your bil, what was the paint code on the blue you used, and what the epoxy you used on the trunk when you patched the holes, I'm building a fiberglass kit car and I am curious if that would work for the mold seam repair on the body, any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
