    Great video, looks like a lot of fun! I took my totally stock (including tires) 2007 Ridgeline to Uwharrie a few years ago and had a blast on the Wolves Den trail, but had to turn around at one spot. Amazing what you guys could do with better tires! Looking forward to more video.

    Great great example of the VTM-4 being used at 13:22. Almost everything was identical both attempts except the use of the locker. Good stuff🎉

      I always use the when in doubt lock it out approach. It makes the Pilot look really good when you clear obstacles on the first try.

    Looks like a good time! That Honda civic with the big tires was awesome 😁! I always appreciate content with Brandon the adventure cat. I bet you could make a channel specifically centered around him and it would do awesome, haha!

    15:49 "The stumps are real here".
    Haha yep, what nobody knows from the last time I was out there with you is I backed into one that was invisible from inside the Xterra.
    It dented up the plastic on the back bumper. (Fixed it the following weekend thanks to lkq having what I needed.)
    Always do a walk around if backing up, and if you're not sure of clearance, have a spotter.

      I did the same thing that trip! LKQ saved me too. Sometimes it is nice to wheel a super popular older vehicle.

    I have a 06 I'm wanting to install a ambient outside temperature sensor did yours come stock or maybe mine has it but idk how to use it lol

    • @alexandercuello3168
      @alexandercuello3168 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      On My 07 I just press the small knob on the instrument cluster 1 or 2 times until I see the outside temperature.

    • @GotterAdventure
      @GotterAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine has it stock, you should be able to activate it by cycling through odometer options. Press the black stick by the odometer.

    • @Sandmansa
      @Sandmansa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The outside temperature display is a factory option on the instrument cluster. You would cycle through display options with the trip meter button. My 07 has the base model cluster so it only has oil life, trip A and trip B.

    • @jeremys5738

      @@jeremys5738 I didn’t know the base model lacks that feature. Installing an aftermarket temp sensor is very easy.

    I know you said you are running 245/75R/16 right now but have you tried using 265/70/16 with the 2.5 inch lift and 1" spacer? will it work? I just saw that my friends Tacoma has this size on and wanted your thoughts on this so I could make an educated decision on tires for mine. (2003 pilot, stock 16" rims). Thanks.

    • @GotterAdventure

      I don't have experience with that size unfortunately. What does the internet say?

    You give me more motivation with every video. I am curious though. How are you liking your engine mods? Any noticeable gains or any pros or cons to MPGs?

    • @GotterAdventure
      @GotterAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have any hard data, but I do feel like it revs to higher RPMs more quickly. I also like the roar of the intake. I don't know if there is enough of a difference to justify the cost or removal of the stock intake.

    I've been thinking about taking my '20 Ridgeline out there. Stock except for some good AT tires.
    What trails and route was this filmed on? Would love to know what trails I'm capable of clearing before I go.

      I have found that trail difficulty can vary a lot from time to time. A skid plate is always a safe call around rocks. If you join the AWD festival OCT 18-20 we can help keep you safe. Tickets sold here campingrandy.com/

      Welcome to the Channel. I have quite a few videos featuring the work I do on my Pilot. I recommend checking them out if you are interested in working on a Pilot. I am currently running 235-85-16 tires, but recommend 245-75-16. My current size required modifications and aren't ideal considering the gearing of the Pilot.

    “AWD Fest” aka “Trail destruction fest”. I long for a day when these grocery getters and snow cars with no Lo-range start getting banned from trails. In 40 years of wheeling I’ve never seen such ruined trails as I have in the last few since awd and razors became popular.

    • @GotterAdventure
      @GotterAdventure  หลายเดือนก่อน

      How do you use a trail without damaging the trail? Do you stop using the trail when it is wet? With your logic you won't be on the trails soon either. No one will... I have seen more damage from 4wd vehicles blasting it.

    • @mandingo9471
      @mandingo9471 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lol small tires spinning isn’t causing the damage you think they are. It’s the big ol open diff trucks with aggressive 35s+ MTs or boggers that are tearing up the trails.

    hi) I'm watching your channel and I like the Honda pilot)) I also have a pilot in 2003) please tell me, do the owners of the Honda pilot in the USA do maintenance of the automatic transmission according to the regulations by disassembling it, changing all filters and rubber bands? or do they still drive until the last one until the automatic transmission dies? if there is a full automatic transmission service, then at what mileage does this happen? according to the regulations 200,000 km, (125,000 miles) and after that you need to change everything in the automatic transmission with analysis) I'm just curious) I received a contract automatic transmission from the USA with a mileage of 206,000 miles, so I do not know if they did it or not) please tell me

    • @GotterAdventure
      @GotterAdventure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Welcome to the channel and thanks! I would say that fluid changes is the most you could expect to have been done to your transmission. Most in the US do not service or replace their transmissions until they run into a problem. My transmission is currently around 300K miles.

    • @alexandrhardWay
      @alexandrhardWay ปีที่แล้ว

      wow) and you have never opened the automatic transmission?300k miles is straight wow)))it's almost half a million km))) that's what Honda means, a reliable unit)@@GotterAdventure
