The RGB controller from razer doesn't seem to work with the Be quiet light wings but the Razer pwm controller does lol

I assume you can also setup hotkeys in the synapse so that you can quickly change fan profiles with the Razer keyboard or mouse? Or have it auto switch when certain programs are loaded?

I have a Question about the RGB Controller - I bought my complete Setup for me new PC yesterday, including 9 ARGB Fans from bequiet, (3 for CPU AIO Cooler and 6 for Casecooling), but i recognized that the Razer RBG Controller just has 6 slots to connect with. How do i deal with one Controller but 9 Fans? Thank you in advance!

Hello quick question, I ordered 9 EKWB EK Fan loop and was looking at the Razer Chroma addressable ARGB fan controller for more rgb control. Would that be enough to power 7 120mm fans and 2 140mm fans? all fans are daisy chainable but razer products are a little bit expensive on my region so I wanted to know if 1 chroma rgb controller + that would be more than enough for my needs? thank you for this informative video btw, I know its late but I just recently transitioned from a gaming laptop to pc...

I don't think on-board profiles are possible for such a device. How would an independent USB device know what your CPU (or GPU) temperature is without a software to relay that information?

No, you’d want to use 4-pin PWM fans if you want to control fan speeds
Well, with the people with pretty high computer fans max rpm above 1500rpm, 33% speed on all the fans I've tried are still pretty loud, and all of them can go down to 15% even when starting the fans. So I want razer to unlock the 33% minimum block so fans can spin less and be quieter.

Good video - I just had to replace 3 case fans in a 13 year old case - ( love my Antec 1200) - anyway - does this go inside the case ? - Does it need a power supply to wall outlet? - Or does PC power unit via PSU ? - I just want to make sure - how long are the cables ? - Has the software been updated since video ? - I guess case fans are at full 100% RPM - Before software kicks in ?
Sorry for all questions - I never used a fan controller before - As my case had fan controls on it - I now lost this option

First of all, great video. Really glad to see you review this product! I have the fan controller myself and I have two issues with it:
1. On 'Advanced', you can't set your fan curve below 35%. I appreciate Razer want you to always be cooling your PC, but we should be able to have more customisation here
2. Whenever I lock my PC, or start it up because Razer Synapse is not able to run then, it just runs my fans at 50% constantly. Fans ramping up and staying at 50% when you lock your PC is not the one. Totally agree with your suggestion of onboard storage with a default profile for it to use when Synapse is not open
Hopefully someone has got around the fans spinning up when you lock your PC as that is driving me absolutely crazy.

Could also default to max fan speed if the program doesn't open. That would also be an indicator that the program isn't running.
Another suggestion would be the ability to change your pc's colors with the according temperature/ fan speed, like motherboard software. It could integrate with Razer's Addressable RGB controller and peripherals or something like that which will add a whole tone of value. Or even this could be implanted as a new effect on Synapse, only Razer is to judge!

I agree. Just like the Sapphire Trixx software for my GPU. I know the fan controller is new and hopefully they add features. The aRGB controller is great. I have that and it's dialed.
I have the MSI x570 unify and use msi center to control the RGB pretty much all the rgb devices just the aio which is z73 has to use its own works very well and use software called fan control to set fan curves works great can pretty much set curves with GPU , CPU , nvme etc and it's very light weight
I want to try running this just for fans, can you run this using a micro usb to usb and a dc plug lol, what is the specs for the power I’m so confused

Now the question is can you run this micro usb to usb/ or usb c loool
NZXT has a similar product and is way cheaper. Also fixes issues you were having (GPU/CPU temp, Startup) NZXT RGB & Fan Controller. Maybe worth checking out. :D I have used it for over a year and works flawlessly.

Unless you want to control fan speed through synapse, you probably don't.

mCubed T-Balancer existed for ages and it just works. Custom profiles, linking to temperatures, digital and analog temperature sensors, etc. Too bad one cannot buy it anymore
That's a lot of cheese for an fan hub. Still loving the hub that was included wit my lian li sl 120 pack. Lian li's rgb software is the best imo. Keep up the great work bro and stay safe.
I too am using an MSI motherboard and I have never had any problems with the fan curve i set like 1-2 years ago, however I didn't set it through their software, I set it through the BIOS settings... No one likes tech companies' software that you have to start every time you start your pc and half of the times the settings reset themselves, especially Razer's (well at least Synapse) Plus you have every function of the razer pwm controller built in most motherboard bios, you can set a graph for individual fans depending on GPU, CPU, Chipset temps(+ any other thermal probes you have on your motherboard if it's some kind of overclocking mb like the EVGA ones) and you don't have to install any kind of bloatware that companies want you to use and not only that but you can also set graphs for non-PWM fans too... something you wouldn't be able to do through PWM only hub...
Yeah you can set fan curves straight through BIOS :D I think Razer gotta really expand upon this PWM fan hub cuz it can do just about what you can do through BIOS fan curves :/
When I start my pc a minimized Razer application launches and synapse runs in the Background.
For me, Razer Central launches fine, but Synapse never starts up on it's own anymore :/
That’s weird
i've got two main gripes with this thing.
1. There is no 0db mode, having a feature on the fans but not being able to use it thanks to software is not nice.
2. You can't (or at least i couldn't) control the fan hub from a second windows user.

Q1: can you plug a slitter on the rgb hub?
Q2: can you use the pmw adapter in pararel with the rgb hub
This is because I have one 360mm aio with 3 fans and the other 4 more fans and the rgb hub doesn't have enough headers for my fans. I would really appreciate your help.

Asus armory crate just breaks constantly for me…. I’ve reset windows I’ve done everything… it doesn’t detect my cpu even though it shows me the clock speeds and it crashes. Oh yeah and it forgets rgb profiles also…. I am using the newest version on w11.
I expected this video for so long! First of all, each and every idea that you mentioned should be implanted into the controller! The on-board memory is a concern because we don't know if they actually put one for this scenario. Besides that, all the temps of gpu, cpu, ssd's, ram EVERYTHING should be included so it could barely justify that high cost for it's current features. Also the synapse bug is unacceptable and should be fixed. Hope Razer to make the right choices!

Its a hub which uses the Razer Synapse software to set up the curves? Its still software and its still god awful.
How about Asking razer to put back Nanoleaf Module integration
They have a nanoleaf desktop app now, but the integration isn’t the same 🥲
@@TechBlock i can't make my own audio effect that sync with My pc rgb per each panel and Chroma connect sucks giving only 4 RGB point and can't set each point separately
It looks like you can set unique curves per fan device. I think polling the GPU for temperature isn't likely unless Razer begins marketing Razer GPUs with some other partner, but what you SHOULD be able to do without difficulty is pin a fan curve to a specific application/game the way you do Chroma lighting profiles, so that if you start up Cyberpunk your fans pointed at the GPU know to blow hard like a hair dryer.
In fact I'm gonna ask: Can you check Synapse -> Profiles -> Linked Games, choose a game, and see if you can the fan device and set a profile for that game? That way when you start the game, the fans at the bottom of the case (whichever socket on the controller they're plugged into) should just automatically switch to the more aggressive fan profile at the time you see Chroma lights change.
yeah when i use my razer keyboard i cant get into my BIOS cause it doesnt turn on the keyboard i have to use a corsair keyboard just to get into the BIOS
Yeah I've had that problem with some Razer keyboards in the past myself, hella annoying tbh :D

Go to your bios and their should be a option were u simulate your keybored and mouse
just came across your video after experiencing some issues with the PWM controller synapse. for me synapse will indeed auto-start but will just not spin fans according to my curve that i have set in synapse. i can skip through quiet/normal/performance and it will change speeds accordingly but when i go to the advanced tab it will just spin fans according to the most recent tab that i was just on before. absolutely ridiculous for this price and entirely useless honestly.

I went with the O11 Dynamic when I first did my build. All because of you. But now I'm realizing:
1. It doesn't keep any most dust out despite all the filters it comes with. Because you can't cover the back of it. As they never included a filter for the back of the case.
2. Sucks for air cooling for gamers. But you can order custom made front acrylic kits for the front panel.

3. Lian Li did make the O11 AIR and the O11 Dynamic EVO which you can by a mesh kit for. You can also buy a Acrylic Front Panel for the O11 Dynamic XL.
I am hoping to get my hands on an air case or a evo case. BUT the mesh kit for the EVO case is hard to get your hands on. It can take up to a year to get one. So I might just get an Air if I can. Until I finally start a top of the line build using the O11 XL.
So you can control 8 fans but only control the lights for 6 when everyone's favorite case has 10 fans. I hope they improve both of these products. I bought 2 of the RGB controllers not knowing razer synapse only supports one. THESE PRODUCTS COULD HAVE BEEN GREAT. but no! btw i can buy a 9 fan hub for 14.99. I LOVE RAZER STUFF but there customer service and quality of products has really decreased in the past 2 years.

I love razer peripherals but the seems like a rubbish controller tbh. I'd love to have something like this in synapse but it's such a severly limited controller. Pretty much every feature you mentioned should be added already exists in aquaero or corsair controllers. This is a glorified hub.
Heck even argus monitor or FanControl software have much better fan control capabilities than this and no additional HW needed.
razer an onboard storage ? haha funny. even if it would have onboard storage razer would force you to have synapse running for it to load up the profile :DD

Ok Here is what really sucks about all new Razer Products, You can only use Synapse 3 which is only able to be used on Windows 10 and newer operating systems, To bad for all windows 7 users but as windows 10 is absolutely horrible trash OS, I have wrote Razer & they dont' care they want all of you color lovers of RGB lighting affects, I REALLY LOVE RAZER PRODUCTS BUT SINCE SYNAPSE 3.0 ONLY WORKING ON SYNAPSE 3.0 ON WINDOWS 10 OR NEWER They need to make all synapse for @ least Windows 7 as it is still out here on so many computer but they are targeting a certain demographic instead of actual customers or custom builders

Ну и зачем это нужно ? все современные материнские платы оборудованы RGB контролерами и контролером оборотов вентиляторов , надо быть наглухо упоротым на Razer , что бы ещё и это докупать . Некуда деть 50 долларов ? Купите еды на эти деньги бездомным животным , куда больше будет пользы .

Naaah. For Razer, I'll just stick to the stuff that they know best.
Mouse, Keyboard/pad, Mousepad..... and nothing more than that.
User HID peripherals is where they started, and where they excel at.
Their recent foray into other peripherals/equipment is frankly laughable. Especially that Zephyr joke.
I have their Blackwidow Elite kb, Basilisk/DeathAdder mice, Tartarus Pro keypad, and Goliathus Chroma mousepad.
They all work very well. Not the best, but good enough for daily drivers.
Their headsets are generally rubbish. I went Sennheiser and Audeze for those.
Their PC cases are also rubbish in ergonomics and cooling. I went Lian Li and Phanteks for those.
Their monitor.... horrible from what Hardware Unboxed review. Just go with Samsung or LG.
I would never recommend Razers products duo to their absolutely horrific customer service and lack of customer care, you´re lucky if their products work but if they don't than they WILL make you wish you never touched their brand.
That is odd I've had great experience I had a Blackwidow v3 where randomly it would type out a couple of particular keys. It was super annoying, however I contact support, provided video evidence, sent the keyboard they sent me a new one. Seemed fine. I guess it is like anything some times you get poor support engineers or have bad experiences.
Not sure i can take your review seriously with the horrendous cable management.... Like come on dude, good review and all but.... Damn definitely not professional and more like casual hobbyist
