Solid advice everyone should apply if want to OC these cards/anything really. I've got it 1100 @1340 for RX580 8GB (saw comment below figured why not duplicate their success) Did the in app stress test, normally by end of it getting up to like 77 with my manual OC's, and worrying part is like it seems exponential heat gains. Have pretty solid cooling setup with my fans/new case but yeah, long play sessions don't really get major frame rate drops, but will crash more often, and overall comp seems to be struggling. This test? 65, and it was DANCING on the point, ie, go up to 66, drop to 65. For those i'm totally confusing with my rambling writing style heres' point of applying under-volt logic; My system was having a cooling effect during a OC'd STRESS test, this is very nice in my books lol lol fans didn't even spin up(vs how normally go ape shit during stress tests), geez, poor GPU, been just torturing it for years now xD Good thing I saw this once I started manually OC'ing, think with default auto clocks, keeps it from using too much power in first place that kinda defeats point of OCing lol. Again this advice, just right.
Glad it helped. And remember if you cars crashes it means your voltage was too low for the clock speed have set. So either increase voltage or lower core clock so it will be stable. Happy holidays
@@raoufraouf3139 you need to increase your core voltage, each gpu is different, some can run these lower voltages, but other gpu need higher voltage, so maybe run 1050mv
Thanks for the upload very informative. Worked great for me after my new Asus RX 580 would crash randomly without warning on World of Tanks only. Such a shame that the factory defaults cannot be set stable from the off. I was close to calling this as a faulty card as I had done all the system checks, ddu'ing uninstalls and driver re-installs. I run a different profile for each game and vary the fan profiles too.
Brilliant and really helpful video here, it's a really good insight and clearly detailed tutorial. Very enjoyable to watch too! I finally worked out a solution personally. I'm using a RX 590, and was regularly having crashes while the card was under load, restarting the PC. This problem has occurred on and off for a good year (since I've had the card), depending on the game. Using Wattman, I decided to lower the wattage more drastically down to -25% (before it was between 7 - 15%) And you know what, for the first time ever with this card, I'm no longer getting any crashes at all. I also lowered the GPU's clock speed to 1350mhz,, I'm sure that can be toyed around with more now that it's stable. VRAM is at default 2000mhz. (The first Watchdogs has been the latest of problematic games where this fix came around to me) I didn't edit the core voltage, but I'm sure using Wattman would have had a similar effect :) I'd be really pleased if this helps anyone else that have had similar problems, because it's driven me nuts finding solutions for this card haha! Edit: Forgot to mention, I bypassed Afterburner to try this just using Radeon Software on a whim.
A lot of people have had issues with the RX 590, And yes lowering your clock speed is a very good idea on that model of card, I would recommend about 1080-1100mv for 1350mhz core clock. That should be stable. but as you know, every card is a bit different,. You can leave the memory clock as default.

*For anyone who wants their ZERO RPM fan back after setting an undervolt* Export your profile at the top right of Radeon Settings Open that file with notepad or some text editor Find this: It will say "False", change both to "True" as shown here, save it. Good vid Aleksandrs!! I'm adjusting a RX580 Gigabyte 8GB now and just wanted a educated guess about going 1400MH clock, have you ever seen this GPU going up to this clockspeed?
yes, you can run the GPU at 1400mhz safely. You will probably need around 1080-1120mv to run it stable. The higher the core clock, the higher the required voltage to run stable. all cards have a bit different silicon quality so your card may need a little different voltages, but for gaming, you can try 1400mhz with around 1080-1120mv. (some cards can even run with lower voltages like 1060mv at state 7) if you card is running hot however, it will be beneficial to drop your core voltage and core clock to reduce your power draw = less heat. Core clock does affect FPS, Core voltage affects power draw.
@@gabrielrc_ If there isnt much change after doing the thermal paste, then I would try reducing core clock and voltage. You can try 1200Mhz Core clock @950-1000mv depending on your silicon quality

This works for me and my card. I'm not saying do this to yours. I'm just sharing the idea incase you want to OC. I use Phantom Gaming Tweak
thanks so much for the great videos! i have a quick further question: would a heavy undervolt on an rx580 with a 1360mhz stock clock like you have shown be faster or comparable in games to a 1150mv stock voltage overclock to 1410 mhz? blessings and thanks in advance
good question. Clock speed = fps. Voltage = heat. you need a balance between Core clock and voltage so you can have both good performance and good temperatures. The higher core clock ,the higher voltages required for the card to run stable. But with a higher voltage it will make the card run hotter.
@@AleksandrsBrodie wow, that was fast, thx! i have mine set to 1410mhz with 1130mv (20 lower than stock) and i would have considered changing it if the answer was yes. now i don't have to :) -- keep up the good work! v4n
@Aleksandrs Brodie Hello, i do RX570 8GB, VS550 PSU. The problem is that when i play games like Counter Strike or Minecraft(with no shaders, just defaults) and in fullscreen mode, temperatures goes up to 87, but when i play in windowed mode, temp goes 65 - 75degrees between. So.. Idling is 29-35 degrees with no problems.. I even changed the thermal paste "MX-2 Thermal Compound", cleaned fans, but didn't thermal pads.. I didn't find that voltage tuning in my amd control panel.. But will this voltage.. what you just said in this video would help solve my overheating problems? In "full load" like 87 degrees my "power consumption" is 109 Wattages.. Currently i'm afraid to play with that card, because of degrees and thinkin about that card will go dead..
@@AleksandrsBrodie Thanks for fast replying! So something happened, i played CS:GO, fans speeds itself when degrees gets above. One moment just black screen and on my motherboard Cpu and Dram lights started blinking. I did restart and now seems running again. Is it actually something similar to gpu voltage being unbalanced? If yes then I know I need to do more research and lookin for solution.
i am not sure, if its related to the undervolt, then you will need to bump up the voltage from state 3-7 by 20mv, until its stable. I am not sure what the issue is, but if undervolt related, try that.
Did it and work fine in dark souls 3 But whenever i play PUBG, there is some weird pink strip in grass and building! So i just default everything and pink strip just disappear, Just WHY ?
Hello Alexandre, while your settings worked flawlessly on my RX 570, I wanted to ask can overclock undervolt cause stutters? I was playing Forza Horizon 4 with these settings and noticed every 1 or 2 minute or sometimes random I get a small stutter. I turned off the overclock and undervolt and drove around for 5 minutes, no stutter, then I reapplied your settings and drove around for 5 more minutes, still no stutter. Then I again reset the OC and drove for 2 or 3 minute and saw one stutter. I was hoping you could help me a bit.
@@AleksandrsBrodie I did that and 1st minute of the drive I noticed stutter. Then I switched back to default clocks and voltage and didn't notice it again, then I reapplied the OC and underclock and didn't saw any more stutters. Went to default again and saw a stutter 30 seconds in. It seems switching back n forth between the settings also switches my stuttering back n forth. I also have suspicion it may be frame timing, as with stock settings I stay under 48 fps but with the OC I stay around 45-55 fps, which is also within the Freesync range of 48-144hz. PC gaming is hard haha.
Hi Aleksander . How about power limit? Try lower the power limit to -20- -30% . And the gpu will be much cooler and pull way less watts. Can i ask you why you didn't touch that option? .
good question the power limit does not address the main issue tho. the main issue with these cards is that the voltages are too high for the stock clock speeds. so yes, if i drop power limit it will also drop temps as you are lowering the power and clocks of the card. But if you undervolt, you can lower the power draw without sacrificing as much performance as you are optimizing the card.
i have rx 580 aorus xtr its too hot sometimes it reached 91 and it does thermal throttling to 1100 mhz to 950 mhz help me with some settings i did everything changing thermal paste i putted the corsair XTM50 i will buy a new case for better airflow also
if it still over heats after applying these settings that I show in the video, then i am not sure why its running so hot. But try 1200mhs core clock at around 960-1000mv, if that is not stable then you can increase the core voltage by +20mv until stable
Yes they do, but each time you restart your PC you need to reapply them. Excapt for the fan curve, that will stay if you select to have msi afterburner automatically start up when you boot your PC.
what about "power tuning" , i heard if you crank dat up , the card will draw more power = more stable perfomance and = more heat, whats your take on this? or am I wrong?
How come by default state 5's voltage is much higher that state 7's? State 5 has the highest voltage, why is it set like that? Always wondered about that
thanks alot for the video sire, but can u tell me if i can set my Min Acoustic Limit (MHz) to 1340 as it displays in your fan tuning tab at 10:51 ? cuz i have default on 900
Hey so by my understanding undervolting should decrease temps right? So why is it that my GPU overheats whenever I undervolt. Ive tried just about everything. The moment I slightly undervolt the temps spike.
there are probably a few factors, 1. your fan speed control, 2. how much power if your gpu using in software before you undervolt while in game/underload. and how much power in software does it show it uses in software after you undervolt. If its more after you undervolt then the gpu is using more power than stock so running hotter. I am not really sure what your situation is but start with setting a stable fan profile in the AMD drivers or in MSI afterner, then you can go ahead and check temps for and after undervolting. If done correctly, undervolting will always make your gpu use less power and run cooler, as you are running lower than stock voltages. it may just be a setting in your config what is reseting the voltages or something.
Hello nice video,i have a question,i use to play with 60hz TV and all was fine i think temps was like 65° max After 10h of gaming,2 days ago i bought 165hz monitor since that my rx580 8gb temps vent up to 75-78°after like half hour,Is that normal?
I would clean the thermal paste. Also watch my undervolting video which you can find on my channel called, optional voltages, those are much more power optimized clocks and voltages which will probably make a difference
potentially, but that is generally known as artifacting, You can try lowering your memory clock and maybe drop your core clock down as well. That issue can be hardware related.
thank you for the video really helped me out!. Got another question tho: its probably my case only, but when i turn off the computer the tuning controls go back to automatic and i have to set it up again, i hit apply changes in the global tuning but still i fell that whenever i turn off the computer and turn it back on ii have to double check to make sure and to my surprise its always in automatic. Any tips here?
Hey, man I tried out another videos undervolt settings and when I play Hitman 3 I get driver timeout errors. Is this because my voltage was too low for the clock speed? I just copied yours and will adjust it if I get any more errors. I just wanted to know if driver timeout errors are related/caused by wrong voltage and timings.
@@AleksandrsBrodie I ran your undervolt settings in hitman 3 and my temps did not go past 81c! I did not get any driver timeout errors/crashes. Thanks for making the guide!
I personally just use msi afterburner for the fan speed/curve. I dont know exactly how the acoustic setting works, but I would just set a fan curve in the and software and try it out in a game.just make sure you monitor your temps
@@andreastetraxordos it depends on the fan type. Ideally you set undervolt settings so you can run your card around 70-74c under load with 35-75% fan speed, again depends on the card fan and cooler design
If you apply it in global settings it applies to all games, but the setting wont save and load by default, vs a game/application profile will save and automatically load each time.
Hi my main problem is with the very laud fans, once i start Hitman 2 for example fans start to be very laud very fast, will this undervoltage help with the noice as well?
ok i copied your settings and my game crashes and amd says "AMD software detected that a driver timeout has occurred on your system." Is it a bad driver or no
I would try these settings then to see if it makes a difference. also, use a program like MSI afterburner to set a custom fan profile and also monitor your GPU temps to make sure it is not overheating as the RX 580 runs VERY HOT on stock settings. These settings will help drop the temps.
@@AleksandrsBrodie Thank you so much , after i do the same setting in your videos now my pc dont shutdown anymore , i can complete the game , almost buy a new gpu at this time w higher over price .. thank you 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hi there, i would like to ask a question. I get gpu memory errors if i alt tab when gaming or benchmarking, note that this only happens if i alt tab, i can run games and benchmarks for hours without no gpu memory errors. Why could this be happening ?
I am not sure. I am assuming you have up to date drivers and you have not overclock your memory. Maybe try running a little higher core voltage is the you already have new drivers and stock mem clock/
How can the global settings not be applied to every 3D application? It doesn't make sense that you need to add each game to it. I assume that if you want a game to have its own profile you can create it which overrides the global config, but if you don't do that the global profile takes precedence.
Global settings should apply to all applications, the only issue is you have to load the config each time you boot pc vs adding an application profile does it automatically in theory
@@pingon55555 from my understanding, you cannot set a default global setting. I have not looking into this that much, but when I was trying to set an undervolt, I could not get it to automatically keep the undervolt settings for the global section which would apply to all programs. so I would have to set a game profile to each application. Otherwise, each time you restart the pc, you need to apply the settings on global.
it depends on the card you have and what clock speed you want to run. the whole idea is that you choose a clock speed you want the card to run at in state 7, 1300mhz for example, then its to find the lowest stable voltage for that state. ie 1300mhz should run on most systems between 1000-1060mv on state 7.
@@svetlifishing580 I would drop your Core clock to 1340 mhz, 1080mv for state 7 voltage and use a program like MSI afterburner to set a custom fan profile so that you can manually control the fans and how much they spin. if you aim for 70c at peak load, the card should run pretty quiet. if you have sapphire nitro + then you will have no problem, if you have sapphire pulse, then you will maybe want to run a lower clock of 1300mhz, 1060mv and again, set a custom fan curve so your temps are around 70c when under full load.

Ok so, if I touch these settings my games crash after a couple of matches, what's that about? I can't touch the voltage in the slightest or it crashes.
You will want to drop your core clock down first. Each GPU silicon quality is a bit different. You can try 1200mhz at 980mv. If that crashes then bump up the core voltage by 20mv until it does not crash.
@@AleksandrsBrodie even if I don't make any changes it still crashes if I pick the manual settings. I also tried using MSI Afterburner and I can only lower the voltage to -6% and it also crashes.
If the voltages are way too low then yes I could. It has more to do with not setting the correct voltage than anything. So if you find your 1% low fps is bad, and it's not a cpu bottleneck, bump up the gpu core voltage +20mv, then test again and repeat until it's how you like it.
@@redjohn. generally for 1% lows practically speaking, If my game gets stutter and its caused by too low of a voltage, then I adjust voltage. If the game feels smooth, then i leave it. I dont necessarily look for a specific number. When the 1% low is closer to the avg fps, the better but it all depends on what hardware you have. That's why I just focus on, does it run smooth or not, and work from there.
hi can you please give me some advice as I am a newbie do this. I get high temps 76 - 86 with my gpu. Is it necessary to undervolt? the reason i would like to is so that my fan noise can drop. its quite noisy during gameplay. also I do not want this to affect my fps. you state reducing clock speed reduces performance, so do you have lower fps when state 7 is lower then its default?
yes you have maybe 1-5% lower FPS but i dont notice it when i undervolt my card. th-cam.com/video/0pzxFZBw-6Y/w-d-xo.html this video shows you exactly what settings you can copy onto your card to reduce heat and noise.

the same way as the rx 570 0r 580. you can start by lowering the core voltage by -20mv until you find one that is low but stable. generally, 1250-1300mhz will run stable on 1000-1050mv. you may even be able to run 1350mhz on core, at 1060mv. you will need to play around with the core clock and voltages, but you can for sure optimize it better than stock.
@@Ultrajvosa-cb9sb you can do that and see how it goes. If its stable and you are happy with temps, you can try to increase core clock. If temps are too high, try lowering core clock.
hmm, must mean the undervolt is not applying properly. I wont be able to help you 1 on 1 sorry. Just keep trying different settings, see how they affect the card, by doing this you will start to build and understanding. that is how i learned

I would also recommend setting a custom fan profile/speed when playing. There is an option to set fan speed. With a custom fan speed I would aim for 68-74c while gaming.
It's usually a driver issue. Radeon software is notorious for being subpar. You may try different versions and test it out. I've also had problems with black screens happening randomly, driver 20.4.2 was ok in this regard, and recently i installed 20.11.2 which also works pretty well.

Solid advice everyone should apply if want to OC these cards/anything really.
I've got it 1100 @1340 for RX580 8GB (saw comment below figured why not duplicate their success)
Did the in app stress test, normally by end of it getting up to like 77 with my manual OC's, and worrying part is like it seems exponential heat gains. Have pretty solid cooling setup with my fans/new case but yeah, long play sessions don't really get major frame rate drops, but will crash more often, and overall comp seems to be struggling.
This test? 65, and it was DANCING on the point, ie, go up to 66, drop to 65. For those i'm totally confusing with my rambling writing style heres' point of applying under-volt logic;
My system was having a cooling effect during a OC'd STRESS test, this is very nice in my books lol
lol fans didn't even spin up(vs how normally go ape shit during stress tests), geez, poor GPU, been just torturing it for years now xD Good thing I saw this once I started manually OC'ing, think with default auto clocks, keeps it from using too much power in first place that kinda defeats point of OCing lol. Again this advice, just right.
Glad it helped.

Using Wattman, I decided to lower the wattage more drastically down to -25% (before it was between 7 - 15%)
And you know what, for the first time ever with this card, I'm no longer getting any crashes at all.
I also lowered the GPU's clock speed to 1350mhz,, I'm sure that can be toyed around with more now that it's stable.
VRAM is at default 2000mhz. (The first Watchdogs has been the latest of problematic games where this fix came around to me)
I didn't edit the core voltage, but I'm sure using Wattman would have had a similar effect :)
I'd be really pleased if this helps anyone else that have had similar problems, because it's driven me nuts finding solutions for this card haha!
Edit: Forgot to mention, I bypassed Afterburner to try this just using Radeon Software on a whim.
A lot of people have had issues with the RX 590,
And yes lowering your clock speed is a very good idea on that model of card, I would recommend about 1080-1100mv for 1350mhz core clock.
That should be stable. but as you know, every card is a bit different,.
You can leave the memory clock as default.

I had to watch several of these videos many times before I was even comfortable with trying it. I'm using a stock cooler on a Ryzen 5 1600 / RX580 8 gb model. So far, I noticed about 3 fps higher then my game crashed only for me to discover a message from the Adrenalin software saying the timings caused the crash and the software reverted back to it's default settings.
(some cards can even run with lower voltages like 1060mv at state 7)
if you card is running hot however, it will be beneficial to drop your core voltage and core clock to reduce your power draw = less heat.
Core clock does affect FPS,
Core voltage affects power draw.

good question.
Clock speed = fps.
Voltage = heat.
you need a balance between Core clock and voltage so you can have both good performance and good temperatures.
The higher core clock ,the higher voltages required for the card to run stable.
But with a higher voltage it will make the card run hotter.

Hello, i do RX570 8GB, VS550 PSU.
I would do more research on how to undervolt, otherwise just lower power limit. But yes running thr gpu about 80c will kill it probably

In this case you may want to bump up the core voltage a bit. Each card may require a difference voltage for the core clock
@@AleksandrsBrodie Okay I will increase each core voltage by 10 except the first core and report back. Thanks for the answer.
Can i ask you why you didn't touch that option? .
good question
the power limit does not address the main issue tho.
the main issue with these cards is that the voltages are too high for the stock clock speeds.
so yes, if i drop power limit it will also drop temps as you are lowering the power and clocks of the card.
But if you undervolt, you can lower the power draw without sacrificing as much performance as you are optimizing the card.

what about "power tuning" , i heard if you crank dat up , the card will draw more power = more stable perfomance and = more heat, whats your take on this? or am I wrong?
Yes if you just power tune I think you still run higher than needed voltage.
This allows you to manually adjust the settings
idk if im only one, but fans at 60% are kinda loud, i prefer sound of 50%, but then i get 75 °C in games
this is why if you undervolt, your card generates less heat so you dont need to run your fans as hard

If done correctly, undervolting will always make your gpu use less power and run cooler, as you are running lower than stock voltages. it may just be a setting in your config what is reseting the voltages or something.
when I try to lower the voltage only by 5 it always crashes when I boot up a game. my specs are amd athlon 200ge, rx 580 2048sp, silverstone 500w
Then you may need to run higher voltages
Or lower core clock more

How can the global settings not be applied to every 3D application? It doesn't make sense that you need to add each game to it. I assume that if you want a game to have its own profile you can create it which overrides the global config, but if you don't do that the global profile takes precedence.

the whole idea is that you choose a clock speed you want the card to run at in state 7, 1300mhz for example, then its to find the lowest stable voltage for that state.
ie 1300mhz should run on most systems between 1000-1060mv on state 7.
@@AleksandrsBrodiei have rx580 saphire 8gb all i want is to not hearing this screaming fans when my gpu is on pressure
Does this change the performance of the gpu?
a bit, lower core clock= a little less fps but you can run lower voltage
brother please im very bad in settings what are the best undervolt settings for my xfx rx 580 8gb for low temps brother please help me
Copy these, and of it does not work increase voltage until stable
@@AleksandrsBrodie when i copy settings my pc doesnt freeze or turn off
i tried every 3 of your videos but none helped my temps are still 80-90 i need your help do you have discord or facebook or something and i will share my desktop screen and maybe help me please brother i need your help very much 🙏😔
I have saphire rx 580 nitro 8gb special edition can you give me some settings ?
you can try 1340mhz core at 1020-1060mv.
We have the same card ? xD?
I'm having that problem with the 580 where screen goes black... Can't even run performance test ...tried adjusting some of these settings but haven't made a difference ... Anyone got any other suggestions ?
Not sure
Ok so, if I touch these settings my games crash after a couple of matches, what's that about? I can't touch the voltage in the slightest or it crashes.
You will want to drop your core clock down first. Each GPU silicon quality is a bit different.
You can try 1200mhz at 980mv.
If that crashes then bump up the core voltage by 20mv until it does not crash.
@@AleksandrsBrodie even if I don't make any changes it still crashes if I pick the manual settings. I also tried using MSI Afterburner and I can only lower the voltage to -6% and it also crashes.
@@JohnnyEMatos I am not sure then. 🤷♂️
I heard on some site that undervolting makes 1 percent fps lows worse, is that true?
If the voltages are way too low then yes I could.
It has more to do with not setting the correct voltage than anything.
So if you find your 1% low fps is bad, and it's not a cpu bottleneck, bump up the gpu core voltage +20mv, then test again and repeat until it's how you like it.
@@AleksandrsBrodie ok thanks
@@AleksandrsBrodie also what are bad 1 percent lows, like what range
@@redjohn. generally for 1% lows practically speaking, If my game gets stutter and its caused by too low of a voltage, then I adjust voltage.
If the game feels smooth, then i leave it.
I dont necessarily look for a specific number.
When the 1% low is closer to the avg fps, the better but it all depends on what hardware you have.
That's why I just focus on, does it run smooth or not, and work from there.
@@AleksandrsBrodie ok ty
hi can you please give me some advice as I am a newbie do this. I get high temps 76 - 86 with my gpu. Is it necessary to undervolt? the reason i would like to is so that my fan noise can drop. its quite noisy during gameplay. also I do not want this to affect my fps. you state reducing clock speed reduces performance, so do you have lower fps when state 7 is lower then its default?
yes you have maybe 1-5% lower FPS but i dont notice it when i undervolt my card. th-cam.com/video/0pzxFZBw-6Y/w-d-xo.html
this video shows you exactly what settings you can copy onto your card to reduce heat and noise.
@@AleksandrsBrodie thx for the speedy response. I saw the latest video now. Ill run a few test with and without undervolt to test fps. Excellent videos.
@@AleksandrsBrodie you turns out my mhz is default low. State 7 is 1268, so ill lower my voltage to 990. Its default is 1150. Will update my results. Thanks again
@@hobobro9445 remember, if it crashes, it means that the voltage is not stable for the given core clock you want to run. so you can either increase the voltage if the temps are good, or lower the core clock.
its about finding the right balance.
@@AleksandrsBrodie ok major difference no crash yet. i am idle now at 67 avg temp. i was at 86 in GTAV WILL test rdr2 now. thx so much. my volts are the same as yours. my clocks are waay lower then yours on default. 2 more questions can i lower the voltage further? and can this damage my gpu in any way?
How can I undervolt my rx560 4gb biostar
the same way as the rx 570 0r 580.
you can start by lowering the core voltage by -20mv until you find one that is low but stable.
generally, 1250-1300mhz will run stable on 1000-1050mv. you may even be able to run 1350mhz on core, at 1060mv.
you will need to play around with the core clock and voltages, but you can for sure optimize it better than stock.
@@AleksandrsBrodie my frequnecy on state 7 is 1176mhz should i put voltage maybe on 1060 like you did in video
@@Ultrajvosa-cb9sb you can do that and see how it goes. If its stable and you are happy with temps, you can try to increase core clock.
If temps are too high, try lowering core clock.
@@AleksandrsBrodie i tried that and everything is stable and good thank you so much btw i liked and subbed :)
Bro how can i contact you i set the milivolts to 1075mv on state 7 but it still showing 1150 or 1180+ on msi afterburner
hmm, must mean the undervolt is not applying properly. I wont be able to help you 1 on 1 sorry.
Just keep trying different settings, see how they affect the card, by doing this you will start to build and understanding. that is how i learned
@@AleksandrsBrodie Temps are staying between 63c to 65c max full load tested on unigine Heaven Benchmark
@@arclyrayt9953 nice. if you find system unstable with those settings, just increase core voltage +20mv until stable.
All the best!
@@AleksandrsBrodie anyway to undervolt CPU?
@@arclyrayt9953 i am not sure. sorry.
Best way to cool cpu is with bigger cpu cooler. I personally liked the Gamaxx 400 from deepcool
can I do this to my RX480?
Yes, you just may need a bit higher core voltage
Do you think my cards lack of performance could be due to a lack of power im running a 500w psu on asus mb and ryzen 3350g cpu
Plan on upgrading the cpu once i get my gpu sorted
You are mostlikely being bottlenecked by your cpu.
You can use a monitoring tool like msi afterburner to see if your gpu is running at 100% utilization in game or if it is a cpu bottleneck
@@AleksandrsBrodie will try that thankyou matey, didnt think it would be that as it was performing better when i was running on the igpu
My gpu utilization jumps between like 4% usage and 99% is that a bottleneck caused issue?
@@malfea it would seem like its a cpu bottleneck. i am not 100% sure tho. but upgrading the CPU will be a good next step for your system, and also making sure you are running with 16gb ram
Hi bro , after watched your video and i copy your settings then i got 76c when i play warzone , is that okay ? Or i can get a better ? My gpu is rx 580 powercolor
I would also recommend setting a custom fan profile/speed when playing.
There is an option to set fan speed. With a custom fan speed I would aim for 68-74c while gaming.
@@AleksandrsBrodie how to set fan speed ?
@@shahrulhafiz5890 near the same options when undervolting or using a program like msi afterburner
@@AleksandrsBrodie alright thanks bro
it possible to fix my black screen if i undervolt my RX580 ??
Potentially.
It's usually a driver issue. Radeon software is notorious for being subpar. You may try different versions and test it out. I've also had problems with black screens happening randomly, driver 20.4.2 was ok in this regard, and recently i installed 20.11.2 which also works pretty well.
