Hi Ash PD. Just wanted to let you know I have been searching many TH-cam videos for GPU overheating and underclocking and your video by far is the most concise and informative one that I have seen. Even the big TH-camr's so called experts were not as helpful as your video. You covered all the aspects in a simple and straightforward way even giving attention to user interface for MSI and other options. For my GTX 2080 Ti this lowered my GPU temperature by around 8 to 15 degrees. I thank you very much for your excellent and superior contribution with this video! Hope you keep at it. =)
I've struggled with the temperature of my gtx1080 for over 3 years, it would sometimes get as bad as 85° but after this tutorial it's sitting at stable 72°, what an improvement! I cannot thank you enough kind sir, hope you have yourself a great day king.

Thank you king you literally saved me. In fortnite on directx12 my temperatures was dropped from 86 celsius degrees in average to 75 celsius degrees in average. This is a huge drop and you deserved biggest respect! Thank you so much, you are such a king
Seriously thx for your settings, I've mixied up with "undervoltage settings" of the clocking, and the result: 12 FPS increased + constant clocking of the GPU+ never gose above 79 degree, Previously my RTX2080 Super have an issue of reaching 89 overheating+ freezing and FPS dropping all time ! Thanks buddy for the valuable info
But let be fair enough changing the power rate from 100% to 89, it's smashed the performance of the clocking from 1850 to 1400 which is less FPS as player of 2K resolution, so I've ended up using your fan setting only, and making the undervoltaging setting together to got that results
Bought a 2080ti for real cheap because it was turning into a jet engine at 85° Followed this video and made sure it doesnt go above 81 now and its great.
First of all I should say thank you! Your tutorial saved my pc a bit. I have an RTX 2060 OC by Asus and here are my before and after results Before - Power limit 100 percent, Max temp 83 Celsius, Max Wattage 181, around 2600 rpm and yet the gpu managed to reach 1920 mhz, due to being factory overclocked and not tweaked by me After- I set the power limit to 85 instead of 80, with max temperature of 75 degrees Celsius. The wattage dropped to 138 most of the times and those rpms were around 2150 all of the time and supricingly the memory clock reached those max 1920 mhz with no problem whatsoever. Note- I did the before and after in Resident Evil 4 Remake and monitored it with Shadowplay. Lower temperatures meaning no stuttering in the village parts unlike before. All in all, I appreciate your help dear pal.
watch so many videos and this was the only one that lowered my temps. did undervolting before this and messed with fan settings and your video was the only thing i needed. thanks a lot.
I spent a lot of extra money to improve my game (About $ 600). I bought a LG Ultra Gear 165hz 1440P open box monitor for $ 165.00. Looked like new. Then I bought a AMD Radeon 6700 XT which has a hot junction temperature reaching 110c right out of box. Not good. So I started off running 1440p and 165hz full throttle. I started seeing the 110c junction temperatures with 150 - 250 FPS. Truth is that you can't really see a difference in FPS after 60 - 70 FPS. So I asked why run the card fast. I tuned the card down to 60 - 125 FPS and it cooled down the card junction temperature to 60 - 80C which I like a lot better. Also, I set the graphics card back to 1080p with the 1440p monitor. If you would like better graphics picture than you usually get with the 1080p monitor, step up to the 1440p monitor first and try it before spending $ 400 + on a graphics card. I think you will be impressed and save yourself some money. Had I known this, I would have stuck with the Asus 1660 Super OC Graphics card I had and saved myself $ 480.00. As it is in Battlefield 2042, I get 80 - 110 FPS, and it is plenty good. And the 1080p picture on a 1440p monitor looks better without overdriving the graphics card. Look at it like this. If you bought a Corvette, would you drive it at max speed everyday. Car wouldn't last very long. Neither would your graphics card. I expect a good 3 - 5 years out of my graphics card, and running it slower, and cooler will extend the life. I attest to the fact the LG Ultra Gear monitor is a nice monitor. Note after experimenting, I also set the fan profiles in bios based on CPU temperatures. I have one of the quietest computers on the planet, even a full gaming.

ok that's really awesome my geforce 1080 was reaching 90C° and now after watching the video it's almost 68C° 🥰 the question is why I got high temp without afterburner what's wrong!
I mean you are giving your card less power, and then that lets you with less clock speed on the core so less fps. It makes sense the lower temperatures but in some games the fps differences could be noticible
Okay so I just started playing Cs again and my temp was 90°c and undervolting only wasn't enough but lowering power percentage was the issue now it stays under 76°c so thank you so much

@@AshPd any advice to lower more the temperature??
@@thousandofwords1121 play games on locked fps like 30 or 45 or 60 whatever your card can handle
I don't have prioritize how to get it? And i can't change temp it's gray
@@lgangil sorry bro your gpu not supported
1660 ti had it around 65-67c while gaming and that's putting new thermal paste, now try this but put it at 85% power limit now it 60-55c thanks man might try it at 80% if it gets lower temps.

Nice
I undervolted my CPU's graphics from auto to 0.973v and that happened very well.
By the way, it's Intel i3 4160... and no; I don't have a dedicated GPU, but that's worth playing with it.

hey everyone the best tip i can say is! Change thermal paste! and graphic card
i did change it helps a little bit but playing games on uncapped fps with 1660 super your temp will rise again best is to play on capped fps like 30 or 45 or 60fps
no this causes your gpu fans to work harder
@@AlanZags 😅
@@AshPd e i put 100% fan speed bc i hit 83 celcius in the strongest battlegrounds on roblox and then it causes my fans to fell like explodign band speed does not help my pc
@@AlanZags you can skip the fan part
@@AshPd ahh okbut the fan helps a bit
@@AlanZags will work on default don't worry

IS it compulsory to change fan speed graph setting..i want to keep fan spped automatic..is safe or not after decreasing power limit of gpu
you can skip fan part its not necessary if you want you can use default fan settings
Damnn.. I can't believe it from 85c and up in csgo, now my temp only recaches from 65-70c. My gpu was 1660ti. Thanks bro.
Can you pls explain the reason behind this.. why just a simple tweak in afterburner lowers the gpu temp?

My rx 570 8gb is reaching 75c while playing ghost of tsushima
So my question is - is 75c normal or should I worry about it? And follow the method you showed
if temp is below 80 its normal 😊
this worked great, thanks a lot! one question tho. Do i always need to have afterburner open or only when the pc boots up?
If you set start with windows as i showed then it automatically start you don't need to do anything
@@AshPd yes but what if i close it after the pc starts up, just for personal preference.
@@alwuVEVO if you msi afterburner your graphic card use default settings as before
@@AshPd ok, thanks again! :)
Very useful info thanks a lot ❤😊
😊
Works great! Thank you so much!
😊
I´m confused you lowered fan speed at higher temps shouldn´t you higher it?
@@onesnzeros9614 i believe if you run your fans more then 80%, fans will die soon and this card get hot very fast so 80% fans speed is enough but as i said you can skip that part its just my believe you can use the default fans settings
