Hey, glad you were able to follow along and make your gpu run cooler! You can also play around with the settings by either lowering the voltage a bit more or if you are happy with the temps, you can try bumping up the core clock a bit. remember overclocking/undervolting is all about finding a stable pairing of Core Clock and Core voltage.

Thanks for the Video! Before watching it, I undervolted my rx 570 by setting the max. Power down, but i lost a lot Performance. Now, in a Mix of middle and high i get 90-110 Fps in Fortnite, but the PC is SILENT! Greetings from Germany!
Thanks for the help, dude. My card (ASRock RX 5700 XT) was getting ~74 C when mining ETH before I undervolted from 1200mv to 850mv. Now it runs at 66 C while drawing over a third less watts (198w to 120w). Hash rate only took a 4% hit in performance too (~50 MH/s to ~48 MH/s).
For mining eth you want to use new team red miner 0.8.0 B mode, 1260mhz Core clock, 725mv. And memory 900. And use Hiveos for mining, its so much better than windows 10 from what I have heard from people who mine.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm just mining it in the background on my PC, so I'm not switching the OS. I am looking into mining rigs, so I'll keep that in mind. I'll let you know how the team red miner goes when I get it set up.
@@acrazzyperson8849 just make sure to monitor the Memory Temp when mining, as normal gpu core temp is always going to be lower. The RX 5700xt memory temps can be high, i would aim to keep them around 80c or lower if at all possible. GPUs are overpriced for getting into mining imo. I would just wait it out and have fun mining on your one gpu inside your pc, but again, make sure your memory temps dont go 90c+ as you dont want to ruin your card for a few $ in mining profits. MSI afterburner will show memory temps and i think the amd drivers will as well.
I'll keep that in mind. Btw, what are your thoughts on buying 4gb cards and using them to mine coins with smaller DAG files? Is it worth it if the price is right, or is it better to spend more for 8gb cards?
@@acrazzyperson8849 in my opinion, its not worth buying any 4gb cards unless you can get them for under $30USD and in 100% working condition if you are only going to use them for mining. The profitability is so low that you are better off, again just my opinion, placing a preorder on the new 3060ti cards and getting those as they are relevant for gaming, hold their value well and are efficient on mining. so if you are going to put anything into mining, i would place preorders on the new 3060ti cards and wait the 1-3months for them to come in. i have a 4gb card i was playing around with, there is not much you can mine honestly and if your electric is any higher than $0.10c/kwh its not worth putting your time into it.
Here to report my results: Games is FFXV (on Steam, the one with worst Denuvo) at average presets, tried running for half an hour. With your configuration, I got 40 - 55 fps, temps maxed out at 65C, fan at 37%, core power draw 100W. With default configuration I usually get 55 - 75 fps, temps 75C, fan at 60% (jet engine territory) and core power draw 160W. The frame rate is little low for my taste and introduced some stutter, but perhaps I'll get used to it, the +50W power saving alone is huge, not to mention way better, chilly temperature. Thanks a lot, cheers 🍻!
Remember this is just one setting that I choose to share that I've tested. If you look into understanding how undervolrojg work, you can use higher clocks and a bit higher voltage than what I used here to find the sweat spot of temps, noise and fps.
@@anursetiawan I know what you mean. Have some trust in yourself that you can figure it out. Example, try 1280mhz at 1030mv for state 7 and drop the other voltages a bit similarly to how it set the voltages in this video. Otherwise, I plan on making a much longer and more in depth tutorial some time this month, going over how I use msi afterburner and the AMD drivers to set stable undervolt settings. @@jayceejasmin6156 you do not need to set to default.
If you dont experience any crashes, then the undervolt is stable so you can leave it while streaming.
Used these settings on my RX 580 2048SP (i.e. basically an overclocked 570). Max temperature dropped from 76c to 71c. Heaven benchmark consistently showed an increase of average FPS from 100 to 104. Thank you!

Hi Alex; I definitely have to add my appreciation for your undervolting tutorials! I have the ASUS Dual RX 580 4GB w/ the garbage cooler you mentioned. It was getting to 80 degrees on the Heaven benchmark. After using your optimized settings it was maxing out at 70. Your tutorial was so clear and easy to follow. Thanks!!!

Glad it helped!
Here to report my results:
Games is FFXV (on Steam, the one with worst Denuvo) at average presets, tried running for half an hour.
