  • We went to Dock Outfitters for the first time. A public dock with free parking and no dock fees. There’s a bait and tackle shop, boat and jet ski rentals, and a Cafe. Restrooms are available, nice and clean. We didn’t catch any keepers on this day, only small crabs. No luck with fishing either. But we met beautiful Sasha, the park ranger, the guy with the cool trash collecting truck and lots of fellow crabbers. Enjoy the video🥰

    I'd crab that dock with my parents 50 years ago AT NIGHT. We'd be out there with our flashlights till 11 or 12. The place was always crowded. As a matter of fact, the night they walked on the moon (July 1969) I was crabbing on that dock!

      Wow! Such a historical night of crabbing for you🥰.This dock has been there for that long😊? Well it was still crowded when we went, but still a nice place, we never tried it at night though. Thanks for watching!

      It’s a nice spot, but yeah on this day we didn’t catch any keepers and no bites while fishing. We checked our fellow crabbers and only one had a keeper. No crab dinner that night😊.

    Great video. We went to Red Bank and got about 30..Red Bank Marina charges 160 to rent a boat. I think he's the most expensive.

    • @thandastones888
      @thandastones888  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow! You did great! We haven’t been that lucky and hasn’t been catching a lot lately. $160 is quite steep, but I guess the crabs are in deeper waters now. We need a boat he..he..😊

    • @thandastones888
      @thandastones888  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. You have to pay $10 dollars per adult to use the pier. There’s a person that goes around to collect the fee.

    Ate, kung ang park ranger ba mag show-up at nag inspect, magmomolta ba in case may nakita sila sa balde na maliit ang size?

    • @thandastones888
      @thandastones888  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Hulagway2022 Yes😊 May nakausap kami noon na na fine almost 500$ dahil sa maraming undersized crabs. Pero depende pa rin sa ranger. Pag nakita nilang isa lang ang maliit, iisipin nila nagkamali ka lang ng sukat at warning na lang. Pero pag strict ang ranger, wala nang warning. So ingat, make sure tama ang sukat🦀

    hello friends,do we need any lenience to Crabbing?

    • @thandastones888
      @thandastones888  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, legal catch in NJ must be 4.5 inches from tip to tip of the spine (carapace). You are not allowed to keep females if they have eggs. You can only keep 1 bushel of crabs per day. No license needed for personal consumption ( recreational crabbing ). Depending on the county you visit, they might charge you a fee for use of their pier or dock. Good luck😊 Happy crabbing🦀!
