Yeah, it’s been windy lately because of the storm out in the Atlantic. It’s been slow with crabbing too and we’re lucky to catch some crabs🦀. Hope to check out Avalon one of these days. Tried a few experiments this weekend. I was reading online and it says that blue crabs are nocturnal. Oh really? Ok, so Saturday night around 8pm I went to the bridges near brigantine. I crabbed and fished between 8pm and 4am and I caught 3 keepers and a bunch of smalls. Nocturnal or not I catch more during the day. I also tried this stuff called "Blue Crab Fuel". I'll give it another shot though. It's basically an attractant you soak your chicken in. It might work but it's hard to tell because I had 2 variables at the same time. Night crabbing and the blue fuel. I'll give blue crab fuel another try during the day and let you know if it works. But crabbing at night defiantly didn't work for me. Next weekend I'm going to Higbee beach at sunrise. I'll try the blue crab fuel again but this time I'll do 50/50 and see which traps catch more. I'd love to catch you guys at Winward sometime and you can show me how it's done. 😄
We tried crabbing at night too, and yes we didn’t catch any crabs either. Its seems like you catch them better at dawn or dusk. We have seen that blue crab fuel being used by some crabbers and have asked them if it made them catch more crabs. Some say yes and some say no. We think if there are no crabs in the area, no matter what kind of bait you use, you won’t catch any. Hey, maybe we’ll bump into you one of these days🥰Thanks for watching and good luck!!!🦀
3 keepers from 8-4 that kinda of suck try using bunker I went night crabbing from 6pm to 930 Caught 5 keeps by using net it was low tide and I caught 27 crabs using net in Nj
Last week’s game was painful to watch. We were so hyped especially on that first drive. Then today, the first half was dejavu all over again!!! But how about them GIANTS!!! Coming back and making that win sweeter than sweet!!! I had the hat. I just didn’t wear it earlier because of the wind. I’ve lost and retrieved it twice in the river before. It’s very dear to me🥰 Let’s Go Giants!!! WHOOOOO!!!

Yes, thanks for the advice. We know they’ll die from using up all the oxygen in the water. We just keep them in the water temporarily, just to calm them. We drain the water every now and then and put a fresh batch😊.
Good afternoon I guess you remember me I spoke to you later I text you last year with the blue crabs no you're in Jersey I'm in Staten Island can you beat me I started crabbing last Sunday I only caught two crabs I'm going to try again this Sunday and see what I can do
@@thandastones888 yeah like I said you guys beat me I only picked up two and one was a short as I was saying jerseys getting blue crabs so Staten Island should be getting them like I was saying Jersey and Staten Island is very close to each other you're only right across the river

We tried crabbing at Brick NJ today and only caught 8 crabs🦀. It should pick up pretty soon, maybe in a week or two. Happy Crabbing😊🦀!!!
