Thats a good place to crab two of us would usually get most of a bushel in half a day plenty of fish to, lots of those little sharks.they get pretty big late at night.
Yes😊We’ve had good days crabbing here too but that creek right along the first bridge has gone shallower the past few years. Crabbing there hadn’t been the same lately.
Yes, Brick is really good right now. We passed by South Green Street Park on our way home, the place is open again. There were a lot of people crabbing but not too many crabs that day🦀. Good luck !
@@thandastones888 great! Love Tuckerton but it seems to be very crowded now. Brick is producing better results. Hope to see you out there this season. Stay safe and good luck
Yeah😊We think the tiny ones are quicker swimming out and the big boys tend to swim down back to the river bed, leading them to get stuck in the middle of the ring trap🦀
Great video! I really need to try Windward Beach. This weekend I was at Municipal Beach Park in Somers Point. 10 keepers. Good enough for dinner. 😊 caught MANY Dogfish (sand sharks), 2 spot croakers and a small fluke.
I clammed around that area a long time ago. 50 years ago. Caught some Jimmies along where you all were crabbing. Jimmie is what we called Big Blueclaws.
When you’re facing the river on the big pier, it’s that tiny dock on your left, all the way at the other end of the beach. If you want to crab there, you have to time it on a high tide. The area is quite shallow.
How so long ado when I was a boy of ten, always crabbing of my Grandfather's dock., they were even then huge rd and blue claws. ! So long ago, yet the memories last in this old man.!
Good morning if you don't mind me asking exactly where is that spot in Brick NJ I would love to go this weekend love watching your videos can't wait for the next one
This was at Windward Beach Park, 265 Princeton Ave,Brick NJ 08724. There are 2 piers on the river. A long one and a smaller one. We were crabbing on the smaller one in this film. Good luck🦀!!!
I went to windward beach 3 times last year but didn’t do to well from the long pier. Had nephew and nieces and they were too excited pulling in the traps and hand lines constantly which may have been part of the reason for not doing well. Are you from Brick?
We’re from North Jersey, about an hour away from Brick. Lots of traffic and tolls😊. Try crabbing around the 4th of July. Try to get there early, when the sun is just about to rise. Avoid weekends so there won’t be a lot of people. Lots of luck😊 and Happy Crabbing🦀!!!
I hope my newfound friends Bill and Brenda (I Hope I Remembered your names correctly) watch this video again. I want you to know that I caught nothing worth keeping here aside from that stingray you two helped me to land. HOWEVER, I did get a bad case of sunburn on my face and neck. I think the Thandastones are magic or something. Perhaps one day I will meet you two and learn your secrets... LOL
😆We didn’t do well in that place either. If we didn’t go to Brick, we would have gone home with 1 crab🦀. Stay indoors for a bit, moisturize and take care of that sunburn. You don’t want it to get crispy 😊.
@@thandastones888 I was at your Plan B spot in Brick. Not Seven Bridges. What a disappointing day it was today. I watch you guys catch a whole bunch and I go there two days later and get nothing...
@@MarkDaGardna Wow! We went there last Friday and it was non stop. We even ran out of bait. There were 2 other families that were beside us and they filled up their cooler with crabs in no time. The only thing we can think of is the mating season has probably started and the big males are ignoring food now.

I watched your video and enjoyed it like I went crabbing with my family. Thank you very much for the good video
You’re welcome 😊!!! Thank you so much for watching🥰.
This blue crab represents the entirety of my home state. Which is impressive, and I'm happy to support it.
Another great day. It’s always a great day when it starts with a Pork Roll and Egg Sandwich.

why do you steam with sprite? taste better?
The meat tastes a bit sweeter and it’s how our folks used to do it back in the Philippines. Reminds us of the islands😊.
Nice haul, ive heard north of Toms River they have been getting good hauls of 5" plus crabs , not so much down in the southern end of the state
.Thanks for the tip🦀😊.
Was there yesterday only had 4 keepers by fishing pole cuz nothing from the drop net and cages
Looks like mating season is starting so the big crabs 🦀 won’t be eating for awhile.
