Couple quick questions guys.... Does it have the ability to be configured using one of the four extra I/O’s to control a second O2 sensor? Does it have onboard the ability to control meth injection, and if not, again will have the ability to do it through an available I/O?
You can theoretically do this with a second standalone O2 sensor that has a 5v output. However, the second O2 would be used strictly for datalogging, as the software would not use it for fueling adjustments.

excellent video, well explained, I just bought the terminator X without the 3.5 display and I bought the 7 ”display, my question is, I can do the first steps as in the 3.5 display that asks you in wizard what injectors you are going to use and what engine do you have and be able to calibrate the tps or not?
poop53 100% agree that’s the only downfall I sold every ad on I have to go this route but that part does put one mark in the negative spot. Either way still stoked
Much like he stated in the video, it's about keeping the cost down, 3 bar internal would cost more than a 1 bar internal. However, there's an included Map sensor plug so you can purchase their external map sensor, go to the sensors tab, input the holley 3 bar map sensor, and you're off to the races.
I am looking into the Dominator and the Terminator X (TX) and seen what is good for me. Will this TX work with the Dakota digital gauges like the Dominator with no additional add-ons like in the instructions for the Dominator says to select racepak? I notice in the pc software in one of the videos for the TX is shows settings for a second O2 bu didn't say anything about it. Will TX eventually have the option as Dominator? I really like to monitor both banks.
I'm glad I watch this video I called Holly and trying to figure out the difference between Terminator and HP they said they're exactly the same but watching this video shows me otherwise you are limited to the injectors you can use so then you're limited to the horsepower you can make HP or Dominator is the only way to go unless you just want a stock Cruiser
After going through tuning lessons and live dyno lessons on a G4+ thunder and tuning in lambda, I must say I really love the software. Very easy to navigate and has everything I just need to get going. However, my only gripe, is the fact that i can not tune in lambda. Will this be added sometime in the future for a setting where we can tun in either lambda or AFR? I would love to see that. I still have a few months before I'm going to order so would like to find out if this can be a possiblity.
I can see more than one thing your engineering department could have added, & that would be a crank trigger or points distributor type ignition or, HEI, or Hall trigger option. This would allow it too work on various other v8 engines. Maybe your engineering department can make a add on box to duplicate the 24x signal to fix the stuff up, or perhaps A version 2.0 with the addition of the trigger update, or if possible just a software update to incorporate the above mentioned trigger options. Another thing is that the base model Terminator-X should have been made so that the 4L60e 4L80e etc.. transmission controller could be added, plugged in, on purchased separate for a reasonable extra amount of money up to say $300 upgrade at a later date if required. one last quip, is there should also be a camshaft position sensor on/off option. Coil driver on/off & injector driver on/off as separate options. I'm sure I could find more things, but that'll do for now.
I bet they're going to call you up for a job interview after this. Wait, no. It's a standalone holley full setup designed specifically for ls swaps at a remarkable price point. I don't think they need your help 👍.

I need help choosing a ecu system. I'm going with an LS mated with a tremec T-56 and I want to go N/A to star off and save up for an twin turbo setup. I also want to do a flex fuel system off the bat. As my car would mostly be a street car and I want to be able to run any octane available in any state I also want to do a aftermarket Guage cluster. I know holley has their 12 inch screen and I know it's a separate part for the system. As anyone knows when you go LS you usually think budget. I know I could ball out for the dom x and have any combination of whatever I want but that's not my goal. (At least not today). No today I want to get my ls swap on the road. Now what I need to know on screen engine wise, is oil pressure, voltage, coolant temp, and possibly transmission temp along with speedo, rpm, fuel level, down the road, I'll need to add boost pressure. If I'm correct I can get away with the term x. But what would an upgrade to a hp or dominator look like? Just plug and play?
The kits replace the engine harness, and trans harness if get the "max". They do not hook up to your chassis harness, none of your existing gauges will function without doing some extra work.
I want this sooo bad. But I’m worried I’ll run out of inputs/outputs. Right now I have a stock computer turbo ls with th400. I have meth injection, trans brake, pump box, 2 step, co2 with boost leash boost controller. Will I run out of inputs/outputs?
Put your money into a real tuner because after you I stall it Holley's Scavengers from the forum swoop in and sell you an online tuning session for $450.00...so factor that in too with the $300.00 in extras needed....lol
Will wideband connection work with NTK sensor for all of us guys running alky base and leaded fuels or do you have an adapter so we can? Also in the software is it capable to enter injector data for custom builds like HP and Dominator?
Can somebody please tell me if the 92-97 4r70w harness connector labeled as “OSS/VSS” in the manual connector plugs into the “OSS” sensor or “VSS” sensor. If in the “VSS” sensor can someone please tell me if it matters how many teeth the plastic driven gear needs. I’ve plugged into both and both have vehicle speed readings not at close to actually speed

Does this have any water meth control functionality/failsafe at all? Say I'm on boost and the learned afr percent spikes due to water/meth pump failure, can it do ignition cut or drop boost? Thanks
Sorry, there is no water/meth control (no ICF) with Terminator. The normal boost safeties are still present, including (boost pressure, dome, switched). You could easily set up an AFR based ignition cut off through the I/O ICF to the switched trigger safety of the boost ICF. thx J

@@HolleyPerformance im gonna be getting the ford kit for a foxbody.cant wait to get rid of the old cruddy computer/engine is a 427 stroker with AFR205cc heads,11.3:1 compression.
My fi tech has a ac controller and A designated alternator connectors What are the drawbacks of not having it with terminator X
I am thinking about using this system but I would like to know if I could use this and do away with the optispark when I 1997 Z28 Chevy Camaro manual trans please let me know if so how
What else will I need to buy if I buy a terminator x max for my 99 5.3 LS swap
Im looking for an alternative to rewiring a junkyard harness to do a LS swap into my car.Does Holley have a CARB OE# for any of the Terminator X models that are sold by Holley for those LS swap kits? I cant seem to find one anywhere as the EPA is cracking down and I don't want my car being confiscated due to illegal modifications.
I just ordered this for my 5.3 ls. So This won't plug into the factory map sensor?
excellent video, well explained, I just bought the terminator X without the 3.5 display and I bought the 7 ”display, my question is, I can do the first steps as in the 3.5 display that asks you in wizard what injectors you are going to use and what engine do you have and be able to calibrate the tps or not?
What factory sensors can I not use with this system?
You will need a AC Delco 213-190 AIT sensor. The rest is all LS stuff.
@@projectgattago I asked because on Cleetus McFarlands channel he mentioned not being able to use the factory oil psi sensor
I'd be willing to bet more than half the people buying this will be running boost. Why the hell they didnt include a 3 bar internal map is beyond me.
poop53 100% agree that’s the only downfall I sold every ad on I have to go this route but that part does put one mark in the negative spot.
It could atleast came with a external 3bar! If I could afford this , I'd have a couple turbos also, a stock ecm will do what I need done!
That's not true at all. It has preconfigured support all the way up to FIC 2150 injectors or you can input custom injector data as well.
Cool setup, so your fuel learn tables are almost like short term and long term adaptive tables?
After going through tuning lessons and live dyno lessons on a G4+ thunder and tuning in lambda, I must say I really love the software. Very easy to navigate and has everything I just need to get going. However, my only gripe, is the fact that i can not tune in lambda. Will this be added sometime in the future for a setting where we can tun in either lambda or AFR? I would love to see that. I still have a few months before I'm going to order so would like to find out if this can be a possiblity.
So will my stock gages work still? I'm guessing not. Was considering using this on my C6Z
We do not offer any integration with factory gauges
what happens if the ecu goes out do i have to pay a 900 again ? i am trying to mod my 97 k2500 GMC with ls
Great info here for getting started.
I didn't see it mentioned, so does the harness have a dedicated plug for a gm oil pressure sensor, or wold I have to use an i/o up for that?
The harness has an oil pressure plug already in it. thx J
HolleyPerformance thanks!
Hey Guys! I have tried calling tech support but no answer.
Will this setup run a GM 8.1L? Also running an Allison 1000 6 speed.
@@busa4mee You sound like a Holley employee. I'm Not here too start arguments, but If you knew anything about L's engines, you'd know that there are also options for those trigger types I mentioned.
@@brentonk461 yeah no kidding, and they have those extra options In their higher cost, more complex systems. This was directed at 99% of budget builders who don't need or want that stuff
Is the tachometer output adjustable with this system? Hoping to control my factory S10 4-cyl tach with this unit.
Can I use the Holley 3.5 bar map sensor with this?
Can I use a 58x kit on a 24x engine later down the road if I purchase the 58x kit, what has to be done to the harness or programming if anything, reason I ask is I use junkyard engines and blow up and get whatever I find first (cheapest)
Easiest thing would be to repin the crank and cam sensors
If it buy the kit without transmission control and decide to go with 4l80e later on is there a harness i can buy?
Yes, the harness is part # 558-405
here is a link, www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_injection/dominator_efi/harnesses/parts/558-405

CANbus outputs?
Will this run my autometer tach ? My current 99 camaro ecm is way off even on 4 cylinder and the resistor
Yes! Terminator X has a tach output signal that will work with most any tach. -Keith
Can you run menthol with it
Does this replace the wiring harness that is in my GMC Sierra
Do you have to hook up knock sensors?
No but it would be recommended
Will it work on a 4.8 drive by cable
TX Max will work with other Transmission 6l80 or higher?
only 4 speed autos at this time.
HolleyPerformance thx will wait until you come up with the updates for them
Will wideband connection work with NTK sensor for all of us guys running alky base and leaded fuels or do you have an adapter so we can? Also in the software is it capable to enter injector data for custom builds like HP and Dominator?
He says right in the beginning it does not work with NTK sensors. Only Bosch 4.9
@@boost1728 yeah, the real question is if there is a adapter so the NTK can be run. Oh and a tally it runs the 4.9 or 4.2 out of the box.
I'm guessing all the money went into making the ECU's durable rather than a camera.
Will it run all the stock gauges? Do I need the max to run my 4l80e?
the Terminator X MAX and Dominator are the only Holley ECUs that will control a transmission. Our efi systems are not designed to support stock gauges, but some customers have been able to make them work. -Keith
I understand that you guys may be new to this format of video blogging so please allow a couple pieces of constructive criticisms. First 360P video output is not professional. It's a long program and I understand the render would have taken a lot longer if had you done it at a higher resolution but please spend the time. Also get a tripod and a mic on whomever is talking. I dig the product and I'm excited to see what it'll do.

Yes it can!!!!

I have a Dominator EFI should I upgrade?
Uh, no lol.... The Dominator is the flagship of the product line.
You could easily set up an AFR based ignition cut off through the I/O ICF to the switched trigger safety of the boost ICF. thx J
@@HolleyPerformance so, in my situation, the terminator x would still target say 11.5 afr but it would see that correction is too high (based on the percent limit I create) and cut ignition? Just making sure I am reading this right, thank you.
@@scrapmetal_sleepers Yes, you can have it cut ignition based on the actual AFR value, or the correction % value, or both if you wanted. thx J
