Good correction, I assumed Mewtwo was high on the ballot. You right the ballot was 2015, Mewtwo was out in 2014. I still think he was highly requested even before the ballot, everyone was wondering if he would ever return. But you right, he was before the ballot.
I had to take a break from smash as a whole due too characters like Steve and Rob while I play little mac and dk but watching your content continues to make me come back. Your content has done this to me a few times and at this point I think your my favorite smash content creator.
Regarding Mewtwo's Melee unlock method you can actually reduce it to single digit hours if you have 4 human players in a match as more human players=less hours required. That aside Mewtwo has always been a favorite of mine. While I'm not particularly the biggest fan of glass cannons I think Mewtwo strikes that nice balance of being fun but also not too frustrating to play. That said I do think making him a lightweight is a mistake, and I think making him be a middleweight would be a nice and fair balance between durable and powerful but not overwhelming and immortal. Hopefully more people will be able to do well with him in Ultimate tourneys in the future but we'll see how it goes.
Kinda disappointed on how Mewtwo is included in this series, given that melee is a 2001 game, there's not much to really to take after, resulting in his moveset being pretty dull, especially after playing pokken. Maybe if melee had a couple more months he could also make for a sick ass boss character akin to Sf3 Third Strike's Gill, and the unlocking method is to defeat him with every other character prior rather than that disaster of a method we got. 😂
Melee Mewtwo's dsmash has IASA frames that make it much safer than people seem to think. It's total active frames is 59, but you can interrupt it on frame 38. Trimming 21 frames from the ending of a move is a pretty big deal lol You can see the Mewtwo player take advantage of the IASA frames @4:47 or so. Also Mewtwo's "chaingrabs" in melee aren't true with DI, but the throw combos on fast fallers are
Ultimate mewtwo is so tragic because he is kit is VERY GOOD its just that damned tail and light weight, same thing applies for sephiroth honestly they would be very good characters without the weight holding them back
21:40 kind of sounds like kirby and meta knight design wise good at many things but can't hold advantage and predictable in disadvantage also has no air ground preference
mewtwo should have stayed as a top tier, I need to have another top tier pokemon besides pika (he is still amazing in ultimate, but at most he will rise to mid tier but still)
Well, in official Pokemon tournaments Mewtwo is considered trash, because you're only allowed to bring 1 or 2 of the strong legendaries, and Mewtwo definitely can't keep up with those because they usually have better stats and abilities. But it's not the worst of them because this list includes several Pokemon that are made bad intentionally.
Glass cannons work in Pokémon the game but not very well in smash bros despite all his flaws I think he has potential in melee I just really enjoy playing him in that game over any other game I have tried in every game to make that character work & really he is a tough character to use any game so pick your poison, I think melee having more basic fighter movesets gives him more of a favor in melee I just feel like the way 4 & ult are played the games evolved too much to where there r pretty much rush down characters that hit like heavies and with how fast the combo games r in both those games he just doesn’t work being a big slow floaty lightweight is just brutal he does hit like a dump truck and has a nasty nasty jab in ult I’d argue better the villagers and Jrs jabs from just how fast it racks up damage I just wish in ult they gave him a project M buff and let him act outta teleport that woulda been what kept me playing the characters XD
