I usually sit my broccoli sprouts in 185 degrees of warm water for 5 minutes to clean them, then I drain and put in fridge for future use. Am I destroying the goodness in the sprouts? Do I need to eat them right away? Thanks for sharing this information.

I am going to be testing for colon cancer in a couple weeks and I’m pretty freaked out because there’s a lot of evidence pointing to that’s what I have had for a while. I’ve been trying to eat a lot of broccoli sprouts in the meantime for what it’s worth.

    Don't juice ... blend....

Juicing makes no sense to me. Why do you want to leave the fiber behind? Blending is preferred and makes vetter sense.

I made that same comment to a friend. She got really upset with me. She says when you juice it goes directly to your cells! I personally juice, and make smoothies, b/c sometimes I want fresh vegetable juice, but I will save the pulp to make vegetable broth, soup, vegan tuna, compost etc. if you juice and throw away the pulp I totally agree with you.

If you have been diagnosed, juicing is best for 1st 90 days. When you blend, your body takes up too much energy during the digestion process. 🥦 🥕 🍎

Putting the sprouts in the freezer and blending up its best . Freezing and blending because you're stressing the plant.

Wasted my time watching this video as it didn't really go into the effect Sulforaphane has on Cancer. I have seen this Doctor provide much more information in other interviews particularly with Rhonda Patrick.

With regards to prostate cancer- Testosterone is converted to Dihydrotestosterone, which signals prostate cells to grow. The enzyme 5-alpha reductase is what converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. Sulphoraphane is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor.
But I'm not sure that's all there is to the story. I'm still learning about this.

    • @Starcraftghost

Dr Fahey mentioned cancer in the beginning of the video. His mentor and a doctoral student at the time discovered sulphoraphane; both are cancer doctors.
