I love the “ Praise God!” Whenever you catch one! We go camping at south beach state park down the beach there every year with friends from our church! Nice to see someone out there!
@@DoosinCooxProdz God created the fish of the sea and made them so that we can have dominion over them (Genesis 1:26) so I definitely thank God for any fish I catch. Thanks for your encouraging words!
@@righteousriverfishinginoregon7 no problem 🙏
awesome job bro! i can't wait to hopefully catch some fish in a few weeks. i love watching your vidoes. keep up the great work.
@@carlpaquette4687 yo! I really appreciate those encouraging words. Good luck and fish on!
Walking to the end of that jetty can be brutal busted myself up real good. Nicely done on the Ling!
Yes! Brutal! I have been injured a few good times out there. One time on the Winchester Bay jetty I fell and sprained my ankle and busted 1 rod. I still continued out to the end and caught a huge lingcod. These cool kids knew I was injured and netted it for me. You def gotta be safe out there and take your time.
@righteousriverfishinginoregon7 hey sorry to be a bother, but I can't find your email on your channel description, I can see your links and what not, but not your email.
@@TruaxOutdoors I'm sorry about that. You're right. Here you go rrfishingoregon7@gmail.com
Great job, no easy feat, gaffing a ling in swirling water off slippery rocks!
True! It's always difficult. Any day I can get a ling is a great day. I can't wait for the day that I can get an ocean boat and get the big ones in the big pond. Thanks for watching friend.
Nice video man I’m going out there this weekend and needed to know what to use so thanks👍.
Excellent! Jigs and swim baits are my go to. I have lots of other jetty videos. Check them out for more tips. Good luck.
Gulps seem to work pretty well.....ill have to try it out. Nice job, Thanks for sharing..new sub👍
Thanks dude! It is $$$ and the best jetty bait I have used.
Beautiful fish
Lings are always beautiful. Thank you!
Just got to Newport and looking for outdoor recreation this looks awesome!!
Nice. Newport is a nice town with good food, activities, and very good fishing. Check out Yaquina Bay Charters for a half day rock fishing trip for only about $100. It is well worth it.
Awesome video man.
Thanks Derek. My first video without music and just a simple but effective fishing day. Take care.
I'm hoping to get some lings this weekend myself.good weather this week south of you.
Good luck. Have you tried the gulp alive swim baits I use? They are scented for saltwater and are $$$$
I have not but I think I'll get some after I run through my stock pile of swim baits. I usually use kietechs with some procure, but I am going to definitely try the gulps. I use 3 inch gulp minnow on a high low rig and have had real good success.
Heck yeah 👍🏽
Get sum!
Nice catch, would like to know how you fish those. On the bottom? Slow pulls/quick jerks or just cast and retrieve?
Cast far. Let it drop to bottom. Keep slight tension. Then jig back with moderate jerks. Let it tap bottom, jerk, repeat. Once it gets close to shore reel it in so you don't get snagged. You will catch fish. It's completely on feel. I can do it with my eyes closed. Just feel the jig, the taps, the action, and then the fish.
Went there yesterday. Used a jig head and soft plastics. Nothing chased no bite.
Keep trying. There is always fish there, low or high tide. Try the gulp alive baits I use. The scent helps. Links in video description. Good luck.
heck yea great job, also where do you buy your jig heads?
I buy them from a guy in Newport that I found on FB marketplace. They also sell them at Stabi Daves tackle, also at Ace hardware store, but if you can find a local seller you can buy in bulk and save a bit. I buy them in quantities of over 100.
your awesome thank you!
@@anthonypurganan5445 you're welcome
Nice Catch what tide you go fishing outgoing?
I prefer fishing the incoming tide, leading up to high tide. However, one of my best days ever I was fishing at low tide. Basically, there is always fish.
Thanks appreciate it😊
Can you recommend where to razor clam ?
I dig sand shrimp at the science center bay front. I believe there are clams there too, but I'm not completely sure.
I have caught so many lingcod off that jetty with quarter ounce jigheads and 3" curly tail worms they love small baits
Small baits catch small fish. Big baits catch big fish. Medium baits just catch fish.
@@righteousriverfishinginoregon7 This statement makes me feel like you have never fished very much 🤣
@danielcole8609 Think what you want. If your a pro, I don't care. You do you, and I'll do what I do.
@@righteousriverfishinginoregon7😊😊
Agree
Do you get your bate on Amazon?
Yes. All the links are in this video description th-cam.com/video/fDNsfE_H-Q0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lQ5A1Wy-gxxb91Pk
I’m new jetty fishing, does this only require the basic 40$ license or is there a specific one for these fish?
Yes, regular license. No tag needed.
@@righteousriverfishinginoregon7 this might be a dumb question but where can I find the regulations on the length of the fish it needs to be and which fish I can and can’t keep?
@@Linkvi390 myodfw.com/sport-bottomfish-seasons basically 5 rock fish and 2 lingcod. Lingcod must be 22" long.
@@righteousriverfishinginoregon7 Thank you I appreciate the help! God bless and tight lines!
@@Linkvi390 God bless you as well. Good luck!
Hey bro, how can I get a hold of you? I am a Pastor in Molalla who has a channel, we just became monetized, anyways I'd like to set up a collab with you. I'm watching your jetty fishing video and plan on heading out there tomorrow. Probably too late of notice this time, but would love to do a collaboration!
Howdy Pastor. In my channel info there is an email and you can email me. I'm not available because I'm currently on vacation fishing but good luck! Fish on!
Pastors can not take collections per the bible.
Oh yeah ,the last 2 seasons there were no fish at all. Sean this season is better.
There is always fish at the Jetty, period. In the last 8 years I have only got skunked once.
