@righteousriverfishinginoregon7 I actually shortened down a little this year my 10'6 was my longest rods but the small rivers I fish it's kinda tough to hold that high of rod up in the air without getting it in trees so my longest one is a 9'9 now
Thank you. They sell the jigs, but I still need to find someone to can tie these patterns. I hope to have a good season, but with a new baby I'm not sure what will happen lol. Fish on!
Hahaha! I don't blame you. It's a killer kit. The guy is sending me the second kit right now. I hope to get some steelhead with them this winter, Lord willing!
what do you think about using a rubber Peg stopper on that streamer. i wonder if the hook would get to far away from it streamer some times... great video. id fish that all day!
@@HitchByHitch I would prefer it move anywhere up the leader just like a corky. But, either way would work good. Pegging it could be a good option also. If I find a company to make these kits I'll definitely let you know.
Osprey jigs looks like. Nice rig bro. Maybe i will see you on the water and do some centerpinin'🤙🎣P.S. please pray for my dad. He is 104 and just got diagnosed with severe heart disease. He took me fishing as a kid and i am still obsessed with steelhead. Thank you in advance 😊
@Gio-fishing12 winter steelhead opens on the alsea river on Dec. 1st but the run doesn't produce much until January-March. That's a close option for you.
@Gio-fishing12 wtheck really? There is definitely coho in the Willamette. If you see them you can catch them. Get some blue fox spinners size #5 and cast away.
I'm not rich but I'm blessed. I went to college for 7 years, served in the military, and now have a good job that allows me to play around with one of my passions; fishing! bro you're amazing thanks for teaching us this stuff!
You don't need to get fancy. Just fishing a jig under a float will work. Tip the jig with a little sand shrimp or prawn for better success! 🦾🦾👍👍
You put the tube fly on your line upside down
@@solomonjacobsen8192 yes I realized that after the fact. Good observation.
I saw those candy droppers when I went to dads house!!! I tried to leave with them 🤣

Bobber down steelhead jigs sells dropper jig heads, but I don’t think they sell full dropper tied jigs.

Those jigs with the droppers dont have very good hooks on them
How do you know that? This kit is discontinued; how do you know what hooks they used? I'm genuinely curious
@@bstorm6782 you know, I fished those jigs today and the hooks bent too easy. You may have been right 👍
