This 10 minute version has been wanted for so long and she’s giving all of her. It’s such a masterpiece, just like we thought it would be. RED IS A MASTERPIECE.
Taylor is truly an excellent songwriter. I've never had a boyfriend but when I listen to the song, I feel like I lived it myself. She reflects her emotions and feelings very well in her songs.
I think Taylor Swift may have a possible future as a budding filmaker too or film writer I'm not a Taylor Swift fan but the way she created the story, and how the highs and lows of the relationship were shown felt very realistic and of course can't forget credit to the actors themselves Sadie and Dylan had great chemistry together. I was definitely feeling very emotional and melancholy after it. Well done to Taylor
I barely memorize 3 minutes song. 😂 Taylor is a genius plus, dont you need a break after a 3 mins song? How she continue for 10 mins. Even during the music solo, she still need to put her energy playing the guitar😂
Same! When I very first listened to this, I'll admit I wasn't as impressed. I guess I was expecting different lyrics. But, I watched the short film and ever since then, I can't stop listening to this version. It's almost like I can't listen to the 5 minute one, knowing how much added depth the 10 minute holds. There was so much left unsaid when it came out in 2012, and the 10 minute version somehow makes the song ten times more mature, and showcases more of what went on behind the scenes. I don't think I've ever heard a song so tangible. The tone of the song, and the way she sings it lets you actually FEEL the story and you can feel what she's feeling. And sadly, that tells me just how much worse the relationship was than we all thought before with the original version of the song.
This song is a love letter to every person who feels like that they feel too much, think too hard, and remember the details that most seldom do. Those are the people with the softest hearts, the greatest minds, the most giving of hands. Taylor Swift captured that simple truth in this song, and I cannot possibly thank her enough for it.
I just spent the night with my ex and we talked. It was freeing. Cause I am one of those people who feels everything. I pick up on small details. They simply weren't weren't realizing how much the little things, that they didn't care about were the ones that actually mattered the most.
probably the reason why the 10 minute version isn’t boring to listen to and to watch the performance is that the song has a story to follow, it’s like taylor’s telling a story in a way that she’s just singing it out. not to mention the fact that the lyrics are damn painful and relatable.
It also doesn’t have a repeated chorus, it’s different each time and keeps you engaged. I was never a swift fan until I saw this and I’m blown away each time
It's a refreshing song while we're in the midst of famous main pop songs that aren't... as meaningful. Most songs rn are famous because of its beat (I'm not saying that this is wrong but that's just making this stand out more. Not to mention, this is a literal lyrical masterpiece).
They’ve been together with Taylor like 9-10 years ago. Some of Taylor’s band members are still with her since the first time she started her music career. Taylor must loves them so much and so they are 🤧
I love that her back-up singers are the same women we've seen by her side for years. It's a testament to her character that they're still by her side, smiling, and full of joy performing for and with her.
It also shows how she treat them, cause I mean if she wasn't caring and such they will talk against her, but no. They did not and can not, it is because she was and is still grateful to all of them and I love that about her.
I believe these are the vocalists she's had since Red first came out. In fact, her band has been pretty much the same since Fearless, and the few that have left she's still in touch with. Her old vocalist Liz Huett even makes a few appearances on Red TV.
Her lyrics and storytelling is everything. The story of the naive girl who fell in love with an older man who cannot commit and take her seriously as she did is truly heartbreaking. I just cant.
That reminds me of her “i am the man” music video where there is a younger woman who is marrying an older guy and it seems like she is a gold digger bc of a GIANT diamond on her finger. I think it points to how when a younger guy dates an older woman he is never seen as a gold digger, but when it’s a younger woman dating an older man she’s is almost always seen as a gold digger
People say she’s being dramatic cause she wrote a 10min song about a short relationship but it’s not about how long or short a relationship is. It’s about what that person made you feel during those times. She fell hard fast and there’s nothing wrong with that. She was young. I can write a 10 page essay about a relationship I didn’t even have 🤣🤣🤣
I actually think it’s easier to write a song about a short relationship because you can focus on those moments because those moments are so brief they have more meaning attached to them. It actually makes it easier to make those moments even more dramatic. Not that that’s a bad thing🤷🏼♂️
As an adult male, I never really understood the Taylor phenomenon. Until I watched her sing this song at the Grammys. Then I found this. The young lady is incredibly talented. She played piano at Grammy’s and guitar on SNL. I have to believe her best attribute is writing after hearing these lyrics. I believe she writes her own music. The lyrics in this song are mind blowing. I love the up tempo and down tempo. Especially when they get to the first snow. That was so cool. Great song. Great performances. Kudos to her insanely talented backup singers.
@@stardolphin783 Im thinking the same thing. Also they're the type of song that can be really repeated a number of times cos they have so much in them, and the switch of tone.
"I'm a soldier who's returning half her weight" - such a beautiful way to describe the toll a relationship like this takes on you - from eating disorders to loosing your other half..
No words. It's really difficult to keep a listener's attention for ten minutes with the same song and have them want to revisit it, too. Taylor was meant to do exactly what she's doing now.
SNL really went all out with this performance. They gave her a 10 minute time slot when most people get 2 3 minute time slots, they put leaves on the ground for the autumn aesthetic, they gave her a screen to show her short film, and they made it snow.
The fact that she originally thought no one wanted to hear this version because it’s 10 minutes…an absolute masterpiece. I truly hope she submits for the Grammy’s because this deserves so much.
I hope she submitted All Too Well (10 Minute Version) in next year’s Grammys cuz this song needs a Grammy for the most rare written song we ever heard in 10 minutes
Count me another fan. I've never paid 30 seconds of attention to her until the last couple of weeks but I've watched a bunch of interviews and YT videos, just started listening to some songs in the last few days. I'm stunned at her creativity, humor, authenticity, compassion, strength, courage, and the way she is turning her love of life into an incredibly powerful inspiration of a life for so many, including me, a 66 year old guy. Brings levels of hope I wouldn't have thought possible from someone I had always written off as a teeny-bopper bubble-gum pop star. I've never disliked her, just simply never knew who she really is. I'm deeply impressed with her now and wish her (and everyone she touches) many blessings onward.
I don't know if re-recorded albums are eligible for grammys but this song definitely deserves one. So compelling, you can actually feel the pain from all those years ago. Way to go Taylor
People are simply comparing to their own taste in musical artists, humans like to argue by stating extremes. I'm not Swift fan, I think she's got some incredibly catchy songs that stick in your year. I was actually brought here by some comments about how no one but Swift could make a 10 minute song because no one matches her talent (insane claim, tons of 10, 20, 30 minute songs out there). Is she talented? Of course, no denying it. Is she the most talented musician ever? Of course not. Isn't the most successful musician of all time at this point? That seems like it should be enough for her fans to dismiss people saying she has "no" talent.
I have one, and I'm suffering and loving a lot, he is bi-closeted, with a girlfriend. And I feel so so bad because of that. But this feeling is like...is something I believed couldn't be feel.
The fact that she made a 10 minute song that you don’t get bored of listening to halfway through just shows how incredibly talented she is. She’s just pure musical genius and has been since day one. So proud of her🥲
This is the ONLY ten minute song I've ever been willing and excited to listen to. I can't even listen to Stariway to Heaven all the way through (no offense, Led Zeppelin)
Lol bruh it’s a song for women who have relationship problems. It’s the one chord that she is playing over and over I found it incredibly boring??? Ok ??
People love to hate on her but you can’t deny her staying power. She’s 15 years into her career and still breaking records left and right. Every album she puts out, even ones from a decade ago, go number 1 and a 10 minute song originally from a decade ago went number 1. She’s just as relevant now after 15 years as other new artists in their prime.
Well I mean she is still quite young... So by normal Hollywood standards she is still in her prime and would remain so for quite a few years, especially if she keeps putting out masterpieces like this one
Even with the imperfections that would have been edited out in a studio version, this is the best to watch. The break added in the middle is perfect, as is the a cappella ending. Her acknowledging the background singers is another mark of Taylor's charm. Taylor always knows where the camera is.
@carlos non-ya Fearless had already won Album of the Year, it didn’t make any sense to submit it and it competing against evermore. If she submits Red it would be for the 2023 Grammys, and given that is was snubbed before, I definitely think she will give it the second chance it deserves at winning a Grammy
the fact that other celebs attended on this performance is the next level of excitement (JoeJonas,SophieTurner,CaraDelevigne,AnyaTaylorJoy,SelenaGomez,RyanReynolds,BlakeLively)
What makes this song so iconic and relatable is the fact that almost all of us have experienced a scenario of being gaslit in a relationship and being told that “it” wasn’t real, wasn’t a big deal, didn’t mean much, etc. when you know it WAS something special, something different. It is such a unique and horrific pain to have those feelings invalidated by another and Taylor completely captures that emotion with her lyrics.
GAGAGAGAGAGA! I will now count to 3 and then I am still the unprettiest TH-camr of all time. 1...2...3. GAGAGAGAGAGA!!! Thank you for your attention, dear tom
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 The fact that you made that comment. she regularly stands on stage for three hours at a time putting on a show. Do you think she can handle one10 minutes on? It doesn’t require vocal stamina it’s a very simple song to sing. It’s not like she’s hitting Mariah Carey whistle notes for 10 minutes😂😂
I usually don't say that everything happens for a reason, but in this case I believe it did. Because if it wasn't for her dispute with her previous label, this version most likely would have never seen the light of day, the songs from the vault wouldn't have been released either, not to mention All Too Well perhaps wouldn't have got a short film. But instead all of her albums are getting even more appreciation and recognition than they did (meaning more people discover her music). It really worked out so well for her.
Red as album and all too well got attention that it deserved to get at the first place. Cause now it's no longer just fan favourite song or album but literally every one is liking it.. thanks to folklore and evermore which opened eyes of many that Taylor was and is best songwriter but jealous media and people elbowed her down!

Plus, if an artist can do an hour+ concert, I'm sure a 10 minute song is not that big of an achievement for them. js
This performance is huge. The lighting how it goes back and forth from reddish tones to bluish tones is symbolic. Same as the video. You’ll see the tones change. When the love is magical and intense it’s red…. when it’s painful and falling apart it’s blue. It’s interesting seeing the different tones pass over her face. No doubt she directed this performance.
...I mean, these are completely fine, but they aren't even close to a bunch of other vocalists 🤷♀️ don't over romanticism people. Her songwriting is absolutely top shelf.
Correction: Her vocals are nice. There are a bunch of other singers who have way better voices than her. Her songwriting skills are the one that is a masterpiece.
A masterpiece. The only reason I don’t want a 20 minute version is because I’d never want Taylor Swift to go through that. An outstanding performance and from the heart 💯
The fact that she can write a ten minute song using the same four chords the entire time and somehow keep it entirely engaging and exciting through her lyrics and melodies is truly a testament to her particular style of genius.
Unpopular opinion, but I wish she had switched it up more musically. She’s a genius lyrically but the song felt monotonous to me. Especially when there was so much potential to use the music to support her lyrics.
“The idea you had of me, who was she?” Just hits me. It reminds me of my toxic ex and how I pretended to be someone I wasn’t just to please him. I’d love to know who he thought I was or who he thought he could mold me into.

If you take the time to listen I think you may be pleasantly surprised and find the chorus stuck in your head- check it out!
Why Taylor the attention seeker songs are always about relationship problems?? Redhead 🧑🦰 in this mv was portrayed as typical drama queen Taylor making a scene out of nothing, blaming the poor guy ??? WHY ??????
The fact that she loves her fans so much to do all this for us. We've asked for almost a decade for the full version and she did it because she knew what it would mean to us - I'm crying. She deserves everything she has and more. What a rare and beautiful person
Her lyrics are so timeless and sad. I think anyone can relate to her in different ways. I’m 29 yo and happily married now, but this song reminds me of the way I felt at 17 when the boy I liked broke my heart,
I'm literally in the same situation. Happily married. But at 17 when your heart is broken for the first time, it's a pain you think you won't get over. You feel everything so deeply. She grasped that feeling in this song. I can go back to that time if I just close my eyes and listen.
This song hits straight to my heart because the exact same thing happened to me. We fell in love and we were 9.5 years apart, 22 and 31. We were together for 3 months non stop and something (he said it was age as well) happened where he started to pull away. He finally did the no call/no show thing and we broke up. Then for two years he was in and out of my life until I finally said I couldn’t take it anymore. He is the love of my life but it didn’t work out. Every person he has ever been with since then has characteristics that are like me, almost like he is trying to recreate what we had. It has truly changed who I am as a person over the last 15 years and I wish I could go back every single day to who I was before I met him because the heartache is enormous. I think there are some things in life that you never get over and they hurt just as much at 100 years old as they did at 22 years old. ❤
I felt this. Same thing. I was 22. He was 31 and I was just so in shock that HE would want me that I was so submissive and would let him blame me for stuff that just didn’t make sense but he must’ve been right. We did the back and forth thing for 5 years. I forgave a lot of shit from him cause I just wanted him while he threw things in my face every chance he got. Tried to get me to turn on friendships he said weren’t real (still friends at 33) and just would shatter my soul. One thing about aging is that I realize I needed those lessons to know I will never make myself dim or small for anyone or not stick up for myself and speak up and not accept the gaslighting.

I think the live version has more emotions, but that’s to be expected. Any song holds more emotion when you preform it live as it’s not the person in a studio singing it dozens of times. It is also more impactful when you can see their face and body.

I am fully convinced if taylor wasnt a singer she'd be a terrific best selling Author

The fact that this song is literally TEN MINUTES LONG and yet every time I'm like "oh is it over already??" like it never gets old.

I barely memorize 3 minutes song. 😂 Taylor is a genius plus, dont you need a break after a 3 mins song? How she continue for 10 mins. Even during the music solo, she still need to put her energy playing the guitar😂
it keeps me on my toes even after listening so many times 😫 also hey! I sang a cover of “All Too Well”, mind giving it a listen?
Progressive metal/rock artists: "Allow us to introduce ourselves."

I was thinking the same
I love that her back-up singers are the same women we've seen by her side for years. It's a testament to her character that they're still by her side, smiling, and full of joy performing for and with her.
Exactly. She still with her band until now which is awesome. She is really a keeper. The love she has for the people around her is really genuine.
She truly does keep people around. Just like the dancer in the lover video
She is a beautiful person
She’s a keeper.. ☺️
Denial. Anger. Bargining. Depression. Acceptance. All in one song without ever outright saying it.
Did u just predict ttpd

I can write a 10 page essay about a relationship I didn’t even have 🤣🤣🤣
Genius… totally agree
7 pages for a situationship i had too, 😄😂
besides, it takes a whole lot of skill and talent to make a 10 min song...they should appreciate the music
Exactly !!!!!
I actually think it’s easier to write a song about a short relationship because you can focus on those moments because those moments are so brief they have more meaning attached to them. It actually makes it easier to make those moments even more dramatic. Not that that’s a bad thing🤷🏼♂️
Taylor's relationship with her people reflects so much as I noticed that the back up singers are the same people that sang with her back then.

I'm literally in the same situation. Happily married. But at 17 when your heart is broken for the first time, it's a pain you think you won't get over. You feel everything so deeply. She grasped that feeling in this song. I can go back to that time if I just close my eyes and listen.
Agree
40 and married here and feel the same. Great song writing can transport me back to that angst teen / early adult that is still within me.
Omg yes. This comment. This brings me back to those toxic relationships when I was 17/18/19 so naive back then. Happily engaged now 🥰
Yes..
🥺❤
Lesson learned: don't hurt a genius songwriter, they can make a masterpieces.
Writer in the dark vibes
Ok so why Taylor's outfit is similar to one of her 1989 concert? Like, on one of her out of the woods person she worn the similar outfit. Can it be some hint?
@@strawberry2559 there are soooooo many 1989 references in the Short Film it’s insane. I think buzzfeed compiled them into a list of you want to read it.
@@strawberry2559 it is like the suit she use in Grammy's Award when she sing Out of the woods. Though it is just similar not the same, that one had some blings on it.
@@strawberry2559 she's been giving many hints on 1989 for a long time.............. People were expecting 1989 to come out but instead she released red
Why is no one talking about the acapella part at the end, it sounded HEAVENLY
Yeahhhh 😭
that is my FAVORITE part of this ten minute version!!!
YES
it was the perfect ending 😫 anyways hi! I made a cover of “All Too Well”, check it out?
that's my most favourite part
pretty sure she is the only artist who performed a song for 10 minutes in snl history. what a legend.
wrong
@@ShorsBones who is the other person then? (I genuinely wanna know)
@@ShorsBones "Taylor Swift just sang a 10 minute song on “Saturday Night Live”. It was wonderful and set a record for the longest single performance in the history of the show."
@@ShorsBones not wrong, her performance is the longest in SNL history.
@@ShorsBones Lmaoooo what are you ??? Why u here?
Taylor can make a 10 hour long song and i would listen to it non stop
I’m a 57 yr old man. Not exactly Taylor’s demographic. This performance is one I watch over and over. Her last two albums were terrific too.
This is my favorite thing about Swifties. There's 0 discrimination. Welcome to the club
i'm almost 25 and i listen to this over and over. the agelessness of music is a beautiful thing. :)
Well I'm 74 and I've just "found" her. I always knew she existed but thought she was a teen phenomenon. Now I realise she's got far too much talent and ability to be limited to one age group. Very proud to be a Swiftie.
Yep, right up my alley, mid forties but wow I sing a swiftie song louder than my daughters, love it.
you’re welcome to the fandom anytime!
Fact that everyone agrees: Every swiftie's dream is to shout " Hey you call me up again just to break me like a promise" in a Swift's concert
Like real :(
It’s the best feeling EVER
Its what I live for ;(
“Your sweet disposition, and my wide-eyed *gays”
So casually cruel in the name of being honest - too lol. I really dream about it.
I'm 69 years old and have yet to make it thru this song without crying. It just keeps bringing back memories of a guy I dated when I was 23. She is the most amazing storyteller.
Beautiful
I’m 62 very new to Taylor and yes, it takes us back to youth so achingly…but applies to any age, it’s a timeless beauty
I could cry reading this 🥹
We have all been there. 62 now, and still remember feeling all of this with my first love.
Me too! 69! I miss those days!
when the lights turned RED (Taylor’s Version) and she became angryyyyy >>>
To who ever is reading this comment
You are awesome 🔥
My goal is to hit 30k any help would be epic😁
Yessss

People say humans can't be perfect
But she's the only living proof to prove that line wrong 🥺😙👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The fact that she's smiling while singing this makes my heart move.
Edit: If I can be Joe even just for a day, I would tell her how she means the world to me and give her a forehead kiss. ❤️

Idk what to say but Taylor Swift bringing back the PERFECT All Too Well to life makes me crying like heaven😭😭❤
Taylor is my inspiration!! My mom said that if I got 5k LIKES on my new song!! She definitely buy me a professional mic!! Begging you GUYS!! Please...I LOVE YOU! I'M NOT LYING! PLS!.
She has a few million reasons to smile everytime she sings it 😬
I was never really a Taylor fan before - not against her, just not super into her style of music - but I am now. This song is a masterpiece. The whole album is. No doubt she’s ridiculously talented
hope youve listened to folklore
Welcome😁
@elle I am the same, and now I am listening to all of her album lol
Sometimes the music that’s released now doesn’t relate to you until years later 😁😁 glad you like her now. I love her and Selena because they’re so graceful and classy.
Same. It was folklore that got me into her music and now her version of the red soundtrack.
What an artistic triumph!
I can guarantee that I'm older than any of the stated ages here and I only discovered this lyrical genius recently. First time hearing this song. I haven't been so moved by a songwriter since listening to her namesake, James Taylor over fifty years ago. A once-in-a-generation talent. Amazing.
Same same
72 year old here loves the song and attended Eras, Sydney. Totally mesmerising performance from an amazing talent and apparently she paints as well. Her g’mothee was an opera singer
The fact that the recorded version and the live version sounds identical just shows how amazing she is!
Honestly I don't think they sound that similar... the live version actually sounds even better!
Or entirely manufactured or canned.
yeah no i don't agree. live version gives more emotions
And not mention the fact that she performed for 10 mins straight which is a pretty long time
I think the live version has more emotions, but that’s to be expected. Any song holds more emotion when you preform it live as it’s not the person in a studio singing it dozens of times. It is also more impactful when you can see their face and body.
I really do not care much about celebrities and singers, but Taylor Swift has my full support. She is one classy, smart, big-hearted lady. She has amazing music and I admire her for sharing her stories about love. She is special. Happy thanksgiving
Taylor Swift is my role model!
Agreed to the fullest. Class act, ultra creative, super productive. Happy TnxGvng for those involved.
She's so unreal
Love taylor swift but i hate her fans
Agreed..Taylor Swift the most productive celebrity with her loyal fans & I fullest Respect her forever & always 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏❤❤❤
The “sacred prayer, I was there, I was there…” part at the end is absolutely HEAVENLY. Gives me chills every time!! ❤️
My 3x to cheers me up! Thanks Taylor
I like 7:13 part. 🌬
I cry every time watching the last part. It’s so raw. And emotional.
.i agree so much
