I love the motif with her hair. Any time she's with him alone, especially in the beginning she wears her hair naturally curly, which gives her a more youthful look. But whenever she tries to fit into his scene or impress him her hair is pin straight or styled more mature maturely. Almost like she looses her sense of self both physically and mentally. The scene crying in her bed hit hard when she had her hair pulled back in a pony tail with her natural hair texture.

That is my favorite line (and that’s saying something in this masterpiece). The other one that gets me is “I forget about you long enough to forget why I needed to”. WOW. She’s so amazing.
The drop your hand scene HITS DEEP when you’ve had that exact argument before
Sad but also validating to watch that part. Used to happen to me all the time. He’d always completely ignore me in front of his friends and when I said something about it I was “being crazy” or “acting like a brat”. One time I had a friend pick me up and he didn’t even notice I was gone for quite some time and then got mad at me for leaving.
Sadie's acting and her portrayal of sweet innocence and then her expression of heartbreak, her expression while alone at that party, looking at all the other women there, it was absolute perfection. She deserves an award for this role.

Its the fact that the argument in the kitchen was never supposed to be heard and Dylan and Sadie improvised it and said what the characters were feeling at the time and Taylor loved it that much she chose to leave it in!
