I just realized how majestic, mysterious, and just plain magical Origins' music is. Contrast this with Odyssey's abortion of a soundtrack in which every song is just another interpretation of Ezio's Family.
The studio who made black flag and origins are really great at story telling and giving us what we want cant wait for there next project because its going to be great
Unknown channel Don’t try to find out who’s this... Curse of the pharaohs is part of bayeks story.. I'm saying ubisoft should update the discovery tour. Theebs, karnak, luxor, valley of the Kings are real places with history you know.
Bayek is more than likely getting a sequel at this point so he just doesn't go back to siwa and dies. That's very poor writing. Aya is in Rome so explain how she got buried with bayek if he just goes home and dies.
Curse of the pharaohs is canon. About going to the after life well its a historical, syfy, fictional franchise right. Egyptian mythology is real in this universe. Along with God's and mystical artifacts. Everything you just commented is dumb.
Unknown channel Don’t try to find out who’s this well yes, nobody can go to the afterlife BUT, IF YOU READ what the message says EVERYTIME YOU LOAD UP THE GAME, it (pretty much says) that the stories in the game are *FICTIONAL* which means fantasy type stories. However, they could still give information on the actual Valley of the Kings, or Thebes entirely.
here's my thought after roughly around 15hrs into dlc. Pharaoh bosses on nightmare mode was really tough , one light attack deals 30-50% health bar , red attack deals 50 - 75% and grab attack instant kill you. you really need to learn their pattern and be patient, try to get away with extra hit can cause you your life if you are not careful and using bow to recharge adrenaline is important key to deal with these bosses (there are some moves of some of these boss that you can dodge and poke during their combo to quickly dealt a lot of dmg ) all of new weapons and outfit from sidequest/Pharaohs look astonishing and useful in their own way (even though the dagger of Tutankhamun isn't as good as other weapons, but that's up to each one's preference anyways) . story was considerably good, you can get hook into journey with Bayek instantly as you started DLC and the pacing was decent (I don't want to talk about story of this DLC much because it'd be a semi-spoiler then) and Abubakar once again deliver us with his quality performance, essentially bringing Bayek to life like a magic. sidequests still maintain same quality and narrative as base game and THO , while it has some rescue mission in it but that's not as annoying as the main game's. Thebes, Valley of the king and Upper Egypt in general look great, especially Thebes which is now one of my most favorite place in ACO. upper Egypt has some different vibes to those of lower Egypt even tho general feeling toward both upper and lower Egypt are similar, if you love scenery of the base game's world then you should enjoy this one as well. Andddddd, my god, the afterlife was so incredibly magnificent omega-god like looking, everything from eclipse shine upon golden particle flying in the infinite fields of reed, to a giant sun disk in Aten above white-toned city floating above endless sea to galaxy across night sky in the Duat. every afterlife give out completely different atmosphere and landscape but all has one common feeling toward "Heavenly Realm" kinda thing. new scorpion and jackal army are kinda cool and these afterlife are prime location for the best surreal looking photo mode shot you can make. 9/10 for me.
8:25 little did 2017 ethan know what was to come, an eagle bearing mistios with no personal qualities, even when presented with choices the player makes in the game. Little did he know, ubisoft Quebec would make probably the blandest ac game. Trust me folks, Ive played all dlcs for odyssey and origins and trust me, there is a big difference. Let me explain. While doing a side quest in curse of the pharoah, I was in a beautiful, research filled mission about a poor man left stranded without his wife in aaru. It was beautiful, unforgettable and one of many great side quests. In odyssey, in one of the side quests, we see an eagle bearing mistios Shag an old woman in front of her old partner, and in another, our mistios hunts for deer meat for a meal he can have with a man he shags. Plain filler
Chimichangas Man still can’t believe that crap was a side quest, honestly origins was the closest thing we got to a perfect game of assassins creed after whatever the hell was syndicate, and they just had to ruin that with odyssey smh
ACO is a incredible game and both of the DLC's are standard that other companies need to follow. Both of the DLC's are properly priced and I don't feel like I was ripped of by either of the DLC's
well don't know what game u played but most ppl agree that syndicate is one of the better games of the franchise and i really liked it (and i played almost all of them, 9 or 10 games). but whatever it's ur opinion. Depends what u want from a game
I entirely agree with the 10/10. Had only hoped Aya would have been there for a 'happy ending' for Bayek, he deserves his happiness. Also thought some lines hinted to this, got me a bit disappointed.
Schmitsstudios I think adding Aya would of completely ruined the story. And the dlc ended with another open book leaving it to a possible bayek sequel.
Curse of the Pharaohs, Shivering Isles, and Blood and Wine are by far the best dlcs I have ever played and what a 10 out of 10 I feel should be. In close 9 I feel Jack the Ripper was fun but to short but I felt saved with a memorable story and some fun side activities.
Honestly my only real gripe was that because the afterlives and dead pharaohs were so cool, I just wish they included one or two more. Especially considering Akhenaten, Nefertiti and Tutankhamun were all part of the same immediate family (though tut and Nefertiti were not related) and dynasty, Ramesses II felt a bit out of place. I could picture them including one or two older pharoahs like Cheops or Sneferu (or even Imhotep as a mini boss) just to even things out.
im coming to this comment years later but the reason pharaohs like sneferu or khufu can't be included is because they weren't buried in the valley of the kings, where the curse has taken place
While I was playing this I came across the smugglers town and found a familiar face, ezio and bayek tells him to find aya in Rome, and it made wonder if he is actually the ancestor of Ezio auditore. I know it’s pretty unlikely but I think it would be cool nonetheless.
Callum Highmoor Esiocles being an ancestor to Ezio is likely I mean his name is Esio and there is hints he's going to Rome so i wouldn't completely tear down this theory just yet. ;)
My favorite DLC expansion, haven't played Witcher 3 yet... Everything is big, beautiful, and detailed. They've redeemed themselves IMO. I look forward to Far Cry 5 and their other games now... Ubisoft is showing off. I knew they had it in them, someone just had them on a leash. Direct dig at Horizon Zero Dawn and less Witcher 3. And as always competition is good for gamers.
lol after you play hearts of stone and especially blood and wine. You will laugh at the curse of the pharoes. Trust me, after playing those I look at everything else as inferior. Like if it doesn't measure up to them I'm not buying them lol.
I'm glad (spoiler) they didn't make it all a hallucination like with the tyranny of George Washington dlc. The boss fights were actually challenging too relatively anyway. There's no doubt in my my mind that we will get a sequel with bayek.
@saganist I agree with you about Origins but not Odyssey because Unity still looks better than Odyssey but in some cases, Origins looks better than Unity and Unity looks better than Origins
On the topic of sequels I think dynasty(if it’s a real thing) is the sequel for Bayek. I don’t know who is making the next AC game I hope it’s the same team for Origins, but if it is them I hope it’s the sequel for Bayek. Let’s just hope it doesn’t come out this year because I feel like it won’t be as good as Origins and just put AC back to its old self.
This doesn’t come close to The Hidden Ones in my opinion. It’s much bigger, but it feels like there’s less passion in it. There was a genuinely good story in the hidden ones with some badass cutscenes, some thought-out characters, and a good plot twist (for a DLC). I mean that opening cutscene just speaks for itself. I found Curse of the Pharaohs to be quite like a hollow shell for some reason, it felt much more soulless and They just didn’t really give me a reason to care about any of the characters. The boss fights were great and the afterlives were very cool, but that’s about it. Your going to hate me for this, but as a comparison I think it’s quite similar to comparing Origins and Odyssey. The hidden ones being origins and Curse of the Pharaohs being odyssey. That’s just my take.
@@Agito4774 it's bloated for no reason and how TF is afterlife even possible in ac setting, also no new enemies aside from Scorpions and dudes who can revive (Shadows and pharaohs don't count)

I agree in a way... but i have some problems with the dlc : the first one is that we never saw the "basic" mummies from the lights among the dunes quest or from the cover. The second one is, it felt not really like a curse yes ok every 5th minute one pharaoh but nothing else, they could have made sth like those mummies from the lost army roaming around and killing everything that would have been cooler i guess. The third one is, the lights among the dunes quest had nothing to do with the dlc except for the artifact and thats it? Wanted to see more of the lost army story, just as i said they could have roamed around in the world or sth like that... but over all an amazing expansion
For the pharaohs I find equipping a cursed weapon and a weapon with level 4 adrenaline regeneration is best as you just wait for your adrenaline to regenerate and use overpower after overpower to kill them
I'd give it a 9 or a 9.5. There were a few times when Bayek would freeze for two seconds but I would still be able to look around. My game crashed twice, but I could just restart it. Nothing game breaking, but definitely annoying.
I defeated all pharaohs on nightmare difficulty using cursed weapon (only 1/3 of my health was there), i was level 55 but still it was very difficult..many times i died with a hit after chipping away its health for 10 minutes. but it was worth it
I have been loving origins so far and really want to get the DLC's ; however, I don't know which to get first. Does it matter in which order I play "curse of the pharaohs" and "the hidden ones"? Storywise does it matter which comes first? Which is a better DLC?
Nice rewiev i fully agree with you. Could you pls make a video about kawab? In the first dlc hes like 16 years old but in the normal game hes about 8. I dont know its weird bc it says the hidden ones is just 4 years after the main story.
I think thats some effect of a new ability isnt it? Or maybe the one from the horus pack. I think i saw it ingame and thats the only light bow I ever used with the one from hidden ones dlc
Why mentioning Blood and Wine again? BnW is an expansion, Curse of the Pharaohs is a DLC. That's a difference. Saying it's "not as good as Blood and Wine" is just unwelcome.
Madassassin A dude, I'm sorry even tho I love both games but I think u need to realise that Blood and Wine although it's map is "smaller" it offers way more quests that are unique and not all of them are witcher contracts, there are the vineyard questlines, the unseen elder and fairytale lands (alternate worlds kinda like the afterlife in CotP, along with proper new abilities in the form of mutations. Also, it comes with a story that involves u making choices and deciding the fate of friends and enemies. Overall, both are great, but BaW is simply better and Origins for all it's good things does have a quite a of bit go to camp rescue man get dialogue kill captain = quest done
“Expansion” and “DLC” are just variants on the same type of thing. All Expansions are DLC, not all DLC are Expansions. DLC can be anything from a skin to a 30 hour story with a soundtrack, characters and new gameplay components. Just because CD Projekt RED used the slightly more old fashioned term “Expansion” doesn’t change that. It’s just what they’ve labelled it. Outside of CDPR calling it an Expansion what’s the difference? They’re both the same price, with large maps and long stories, and huge DLCs for their genre, and with comparable gameplay. Saying that an excellent recently released DLC for a game similar to TW3 is not as a good as what he and many others consider to be the best DLC ever created (myself included, but if you disagree that’s fine) is not unwelcome. TLDR; There’s no difference between DLC and an expansion and comparing too excellent DLCs makes senses.
I hated this dlc with a passion only fetch quests, fetch fetch and fetch I went crazy Boss fights were also extremely all same paced , If you reach level 47-50 all you need to do is avoid damage and stay in range of the bosses they ALL have the same move set , nothing new just different weapons lad larger health pools
Witcher 3: Blood and Wine dlc is the best dlc i've played , Witcher 3 is better than Assassin's Creed Origin's so i'm not expecting much from this dlc when i can be arsed to play it lol .
"Hopefully assassins creed sticks to this level of quality, and doesn't fall back on fatigue in the next major inslalment" yeah...
I just watched the reviews he made on both DLC's and feel sorry for the disappointment that is Oddessey compared to his hopeful statements

That said, CotP is still an amazing DLC, just that Blood and Wine is for me 11/10
“Expansion” and “DLC” are just variants on the same type of thing.
Not every DLC gets a box release you know... Blood and Wine got one. Even with gwent cards. Don't bullshit me there's no difference.
Auronn17 uh pretty sure Ubisoft themselves said that curse of the pharaohs was the last major expansion of origins
Whats a pharo god doing in a fucking market
Play the game you melon and youd understand
“Story expansion”
I hated this dlc with a passion only fetch quests, fetch fetch and fetch I went crazy
Boss fights were also extremely all same paced , If you reach level 47-50 all you need to do is avoid damage and stay in range of the bosses they ALL have the same move set , nothing new just different weapons lad larger health pools
Bruh this clown
Why is he talking so formally
Ten outta ten mastapiece
Origins and curse of the pharahos are absolutely the best in the series in my opinion, para
I wish odysseys dlcs were as good
That fps tho
Witcher 3: Blood and Wine dlc is the best dlc i've played , Witcher 3 is better than Assassin's Creed Origin's so i'm not expecting much from this dlc when i can be arsed to play it lol .

Didn't age well
Blood and Wine still kicks Origins' ass
Oh yeah absolutely.
Fizhy sarcasm?😂
Nope. Blood & Wine is still very much so in a league of its own.
Fizhy finally someone who agrees with me. Thanks for the reply!
@@ilmentore7 Didn't age well
It's ironic, Assassin's Creed Origins was the best Assassin's Creed game, and Odyssey the worst.
How can we came from a so good game to that abomination of Ac odissey
What are you talking about. Odyssey is a better game overall
