Hello, just watched the video and was very helpful, just one question about oil, can I use Motul transoil 10w30 transmission fluid for my forza 350 2022 ?
@Donatas Misius - Thanks for watching! Regarding your question, I’m sure that Motul transoil would work fine in the final drive. The one Honda recommends contains MB (moly), but in this case you could add a little moly in with the Motul oil separately. Conversely, you may not want to use anything other than the Recommended Honda oil during the warranty period, just in case you need warranty work done (not sure Honda would go as far as to check the oil in that case). Point is be aware of any risk during the warranty period. In reality there isn’t much oil in that final drive, not sure it’s going to make a huge difference to have the MB, especially if you change the oil at the prescribed times. Personally I would feel comfortable using the Motul transoil with some moly added. Hope this helps!
@MOTOMIKE GOES - I bought that rack in Thailand and carried it back with me. Where are you located? If in the USA I don’t see a lot of good options with companies like Revzilla. There are some general online shops in Thailand like Shopee and Lazada. Then there are more specific bike accessory shops like hellocst or webike. Hope this helps!
After doing this process, a different sound began to be heard from my engine. While cruising, something like a groaning sound started. I use motul 80w90 gear oil.
@Alp Kaya.- Sorry to hear. How much oil did you put back in after draining? About the same? I don’t know why the noise would be coming from the engine unless it’s under strain. Difficult to say with looking at the bike. Put the bike on the center stand and spin the back wheel forward. Any abnormal sound or feel? If nothing else seems suspect then you might want to consider using the recommended oil from Honda.
@@zooskifilms In fact, Honda officials here do not know which oil to use. They say that when you change the engine oil, you can add the remaining 300 ml of oil. and this seems ridiculous to me because the viscosity of the 10w40 oil and the 80w90 gear oil are completely different. I don't know if the oil I put in is thick. There is no problem in acceleration, vibration or anything like that, just a noise comes from the gearbox while driving, from the lower part of the variator.
@Alp Kaya - the Forza service manual states the following for which oil to use in the final drive: Pro Honda HP4M 4 stroke oil. With molybdenum additives. API service: AG or higher. JASO T903 standard: MB. SAE10w30. Which happens to be the same oil they recommend for the engine. Send me your email and I can send you over a photo of the section in the manual.

What about after motul ?😊
@@zooskifilms In fact, Honda officials here do not know which oil to use. They say that when you change the engine oil, you can add the remaining 300 ml of oil. and this seems ridiculous to me because the viscosity of the 10w40 oil and the 80w90 gear oil are completely different. I don't know if the oil I put in is thick. There is no problem in acceleration, vibration or anything like that, just a noise comes from the gearbox while driving, from the lower part of the variator.
@@alpkayaaaa i have similar experience, tell me,what oil have u in right now and hear noise ?
@Alp Kaya - the Forza service manual states the following for which oil to use in the final drive: Pro Honda HP4M 4 stroke oil. With molybdenum additives. API service: AG or higher. JASO T903 standard: MB. SAE10w30. Which happens to be the same oil they recommend for the engine. Send me your email and I can send you over a photo of the section in the manual.
When you refil the engine oil, does it also fil the final drive ?
@problemslayer3538 - No, they are separate and have their own drain and fill holes. I show the location and go through the process in the video.
@zooskifilms alright buddy thanks for your efforts with getting these videos up, they are helpful. Some good choices out there now for an upgrade, new forza 300, 350, adv 350 and xmax300 but I just can't seem to let go of my 2016 forza 😄
@@problemslayer3538 - Haha, me too. I do love my Forza. The Honda X-ADV 750 caught my eye, but don't think it's available in the US. So sticking with the Forza 300 for now. Cheers!
I was told in service that the rear hub oil to this bike is 85W90 what do You say ?
@sprzetmoj7579 - I find that some service folk will tell/recommend what they have in stock, but in this case the Honda service manual says: Honda 10W-30 HP4M Oil (PN 08232-M99-K0BA1)
@@zooskifilms Could You please give me some idea where I can download the service manual at least for NSS300 ? Mine is NSS350AR but the construction of the most components are pretty similar.
@@zooskifilms I found service manual from old NSS300, ok
@sprzetmoj7579 - sounds good! Wish you much success!
how much time since last gear oil change ?
@FilipV - I never changed that final drive oil since I bought the Forza in 2016. The service manual states that oil should be changed every two years. Hope this helps!!
What is the diameter of the fill hole? Thanks.
@@UCacLxitDY_KAPL6RKcn4bPA - The fill hole uses an M8 bolt, so it's a 7-8mm diameter hole. Hope this helps!
Why after i changed this oil there is some metal grinding noise in there ?
@Filipv - Yeah, that is it good. Put the bike on the center stand and spin the wheel forward by hand. Do you hear that noise? What type of oil did you put in? Was it about the same amount that you drained?
@@zooskifilms same amount is put in,10w30 honda oil.
i use 10w30 gear oil
@joaoalmeida1959 - That will work! Seems to be a favorite amongst many owners. Cheers!
what year 2020??
@alanhopkins3675 - This is a 2015 model, it's the same for 2014. I will update the model year in the Description.
I'm confused. Did the guy just do the exact same thing twice or am I missing something?
@TK Diamond - LOL, yes and no. The first part was a final drive fluid check. The second part was a fluid drain and change, they are pretty similar but the second part includes removing that third drain bolt. I was waiting for someone to ask this question. Thanks for watching and the question!
@@zooskifilms Cheers. I blame beer for that one. 🍻
@@timkdiamond - Cheers 🍻🍻
Νice and informative video, but probably his engine burns oil and needs repair. It smokes
@nick the big - LOL, that smoke looks bluish in the video but it's definitely condensation burning off as water vapor. It was cool that day. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
на мф 10 есть масляный фильтр, а на 12 нет....
@shemi4444 - Thanks for your comment, but I didn't quite understand your point. Do you mean the model year 2010 vs 2012? Thank you again!
Need to be replaced with Gear Transimission Oil,not with the Motor Oil...it's not the same oil
@handle1974 - Normally I would agree with you but the service manual calls for the same oil. Perhaps the moly in oil makes it gear friendly, or at least good enough. If you are doing something different would be great for the community to hear what your experience has been. Cheers!
@zooskifilms you are correct with this, the manual does say to use the same as the engine oil
@@problemslayer3538 - Cheers! 👍
