Dr Wu's portrayal in JW is actually the most faithful movie interpretation of the character from the books. He's barely even a character in the other movies, but in the books, he's a mad scientist.
Irrfan Khan who played Masarani, was one of the most renowned Bollywood actors (and one of my favourite actors in general). Definitely watch, for his time in western films: The Warrior, The Namesake, The Lunchbox, and Life of Pi for such beautiful nuanced performances. So sad he passed away in 2020 :'(
haven't reached 'Which Death is Betht?' yet but i have never felt so bad for a character as i do whenever i think of the babysitter in this movie. she DID NOT deserve the hell she went through in the end. watching it has actually scarred me in some way
The original script for this movie was insane. It had human/dino hybrids, and would of opened with Chris Pratts character rappelling into a terrorist safe house accompanied by a team of raptors who then helped him take out the enemies! That scene alone would of been worth it lol.
@@realrobrose Except Fallen Kingdom is a god awful movie. The dino that will only kill if you point a laser at the target. You know you can just pull the trigger in that situation, right? I just want Navy Seal Chris Pratt with Raptors instead of dogs. I don't want it to get to Fallen Kingdom-levels of idiocy. Oh well.. one can dream. Maybe they'll do something like this when they soft-reboot the franchise again.
@@karlerminven I don't even remember the second movie really. l just remember that the back half of it is like dinosaurs doing a mission impossible thing at a mansion. Which sounds much more like what this person is saying was the original script
Military Working Dogs are trained and worked with by their handlers- and are used in SEAL platoons. Grady was a MWD handler & SEAL, if I remember correctly.
Which is why he’s been contracted to train the raptors; Hoskin’s goal was to weaponize the raptors in the way we use MWDs, because of their primate-level intelligence. He even talks about letting one loose in the caves in Afghanistan. That’s what we do with MWDs now. (To a certain extent. Not like what he talked about.)
i know it not a movie but the camp cretaceous netflix show is Really wild as Season 1 takes place during Jurassic World happens as well as some stuff from Jurassic World 2

It's not discussed or even mentioned in the film, but I'm pretty sure the Indominus Rex had some sort of EMI/EMP tech in it's DNA cocktail. Surely the billions of dollars they had the radios weren't the problem.
My biggest question for this movie always has been: why is the Indominus Rex on Isla Nublar in the first place? It's an experimental creature, and it's been established that there's a WHOLE OTHER ISLAND whose entire function is to be a staging ground for dinosaurs not ready for park prime time.
I want Jurassic Planet: of the Apes. Dinos vs apes. Apes riding dinos. Humans training dinos to fight apes. I think different companies own them but I don’t care. Make it happen.
As much as I don't like the new Planet of the Apes movies, I would be so down for that. But only if they go all in on the absurdity and have fun with it.
Something that annoys me is that they used really intricate practical raptor heads… and then completely covered them in CGI. They just can’t help themselves..
Really enjoyed the in-review! Hearing you guys before the plot and of course during was great! :) Always have a blast watching these - I am happy to have the five of you in these reviews! Love hearing the opinions, the banter, and man this movie had a lot of wtf moments. Jurassic Park Jurassic Park 3 Jurassic World The Lost World Jurassic Park 2
I'm personally of the opinion that Sarah and Nick from the Lost World are the two worst characters in any Jurassic Park related media. But man is Owen a close second to them.
How are Tim and Andy able to review movies? If you are 30 and have not seen as many classics as they have, you should go back before you go forward. Before you see a new release, watch all the old classics.
Tim admitting he likes Fallon and Corden makes A LOT of sense when you think about all the dumb takes he’s expressed over the years in the In-Review series. Very eye opening.
I actually really enjoy this film, the best part is that it sort of turns the franchise into a little bit more of a horror movie and isn't afraid to show blood etc
Personally this goes under both of the other sequels for me. That being said- This is not the second best JP movie. It is the 3rd least awful movie... lol
Because none of them liked The Lost World whatsoever & found JP3 more tolerable. and Joey gave JP3 a boost for being 1h30m compared to the first two movies being 2hrs.
I don't know if I can watch. If they rate this below JP 3, that is absurd. Someone, please tell me they didn't do that! When they went JP 3 over Lost World, I couldn't believe it. This is not a group of guys that are Jurassic fans, thats for sure.
Well, Lost World is a worse movie then 3 so it made sense for them to rate it above it. And this one has the stupidity of the Raptor stuff involving Chris Pratt's character. That alone is worse than anything in 3.
While I am a fan of Trevorrow, particularly his use of shooting on 35mm and wide-angle photography showed wonderfully here, however, his writing is on the extreme side with no subtlety, decisions are made by humans that border on cartoonish or insane, and the commentary is laughable. However, it is at the end of the day a dumb fun creature film that I enjoyed revisiting. A 3/5 on the KF scale.
It seems to me that Greg really doesn't like doing In Review. He seemed into it back when it first started with MCU and X-Men but now I don't know why he does any of them anymore. He says he's not a movie guy which is fine. He tried killing the plot segment during the Batman In Review. I will say I do prefer Greg's version of doing the plot off the top of his head rather than Nick just reading us a written synopsis.
Greg is great when he loves a movie or hates a movie. He was on fire during MCU, DCEU, Spider-man and especially Batman in Review. He’s not always high energy and that’s ok.
When I was a kid I loved 2 the most! It was full of Dino action and that’s all I was in it for. As an adult I much prefer 1 but I still really like 2 😅 anyone else? 🥲
Not even two snake bit eyes can keep Nick off camera. What dedication.

Is this real? WHY ON EARTH DID THEY NOT GO FOR THAT? Holy F*** that sounds so dumb and so amazing at the same time!
