I’m a Mets fan and imma say this right now, this is a win-win on both ends cause someway, somehow, the Rays are gonna use their voodoo pitching magic on Eric Orze 😂😂😂
Lol very true about the rays. Im rooting for orze to succeed, the guy is a great conpetitor. But getting a 2 million dollar cf who plays gold glove defense and has other skills that can be developed is a big win
@ Oh I definitely see this as a big win for the Mets, especially with 3 years of control too on Siri, we got ourselves another veteran presence in the outfield who can also help with the younger rookies when they are ready, while also holding his own defensively as a 4th OF.
Hey buddy, I love your opinions and your show, please don't take this the wrong way but you should get yourself a nice Mets hat and a Mets shirt to market your show better and take it to the next level. God bless!
Thank you so much buddy !!! Thank you for the feedback, one day i will definetly work on those marketing aspects. Right now, im just looking to have fun talking baseball
Great upgrade! We need more power in the lineup and he's a great out fielder ! We need more assets to go all the way to the world series! Not just Soto 😉
If the Mets add Juan Soto to their team, I could see it making sense to start an all-glove, very little-bat centerfielder like Jose Siri. However, I think the Mets have much more balanced centerfield options. While I am sure he is not in Siri's league as a defender, Luisangel Acuna is reportedly an elite defender in both center field and second base. Given that Acuna is one of the Met's top prospects, I think I'd prefer it if he started the season as the everyday center fielder. He could bat 9th, where his combination of power and speed could make him a second lead-off hitter. If he doesn't hit enough to keep the job, Siri would be an option. However, the Mets have another top prospect who is also reported to be an elite defender at second base and center field. Depending on how Jett Williams is doing at AAA, he could take over in center. Yet another outfield prospect, Drew Gilbert, is reported to be an elite defender, though I don't think he plays second. I am hoping that if the Mets are able to sign Soto and resign Pete Alonso, David Stearns will have some combination of Acuna, Williams, Gilbert, Mark Vientos, Ronny Mauricio, and Bret Baty starting at 3rd base, centerfield, DH, and possibly 2nd base. If things do work out that way, I don't think the Mets would keep Siri and Tyrone Taylor on the bench together in the long term. Do you know if either player has a minor-league option left?
Great take Michael !! I'm excited to see Acuna play on a regular basis. Stearns will have certain postitions like you mentioned for our prospects to fill. The ny mets are in a phenemenal position. Having Soto and lindor will give us an opportunity to be perrenial world series contenders every year!!
We already have Nimmo in LF , Siri in CF , and Soto in RF! 😱 Boom !!!! Let's go for a good 3rd basement to go with Lindor in SS . Then set 2nd and 1st base .
I like the way thats sounds !!! Mets are building this team around soto, lindor, vinetos, alvarez, nimmo, senga, and diaz. Then we have a bunch of talented kids like acuna and mauricio. I think ronny mauricio can produce like vientos. Its going to be so excting !!
Of course i remember ordonez. Defensively i agree. But this guy is much more of a physical speciman. Suprisingly rey ordonez's career WAR is only 1.2. Siri has much more speed and power. They need to fix this guys approach at the plate and possibly tweak his swing
@@dominantmetsnation8156 I agree on your points. I'd still like to see his OPS get close to .700. If not then theer iss a lame duck rally killer. .250 with ,700 then ok. How are the batting coaches ranked with the mets?
Getting him for his glove with an upside on his Offensive production. And he’s cheaper then paying Bader 10+ million when he don’t hit either. Were trying to get the big fish and possibly sign pete and pitching Defensive pick up here its Tremendous
@@dominantmetsnation8156 I like him, kinda sorta, but he's a rally killing strike out machine. Maybe a change of scenery and leagues will help him, but I wouldn't count on it.
@@supersplashgibson9155 Fans don't pay the salaries so who cares, but signing Soto will be another huge mistake. He's not a great outfielder and he's really not that much better at hitting then the average outfielder. I just don't get the attraction to him. At all.
@@Reel-Justice everything your saying is true but a end of lineup guy who has shown Major league Power vs nothing in the back of lineup i’ll take the guy that maybe a couple tweaks can turn him to be decent addition offensively
Mets fleeced the rays no doubt dnt worry stearns fleeced other teams too orze sucks when he pitched for mets got bombed we have a position player go back to Tampa LOL 😆 😉 😜 😀 👍 LOL OMG LGM
Great pickup 🙌🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hits with power and will probably give us about 20 or more home runs 🙌🏽
Its a bit shocking that we got a gg centerfielder who can pop 25 hr and steal 20 bags for 2 mil and he is signed for 3 more years.

Love it !!! 2025 is going to be insanely good for our new york mets !!!!
@dominantmetsnation8156 I FULLY AGREE! 😎
His upside is huge for way cheaper cuz were about to spend big money on big talent BABY!!!
I AGREE !! Only paying this guy 2 mill. Phenemenal

Stearns pulled another rabbit out of his hat, to me he is a cheaper bader , under control for a few years, has nice home run potential, good job!
I agree !! This kid had fire and loves to play baseball. He has opporrunity for major growth on the offensive end

Reminds me of Ray Ordonez if you remember him.

Siri will bring elite defense, speed, 20 homer potential and fighting ability (he likes baseball ⚾️ brawls).
Lol thats really good !! We need that on this team !! Escpicially if we lose winker

Strike out machine Siri can barely hit.
He was aquired for his glove. Anything he does with his bat is a major bonus. Siri is only making a measly 2 mill
