We WANT MORE AP. You have a great channel over here. Keep it coming (when you can)! This is the best hot stove and interaction talk on TH-cam. I have nothing to add; you don't leave a stone unturned. In finishing, I feel weird that Soto remains in the Bronx. This will not be the end of the world if we flex our substantial economic muscle on pitching and athleticism. We have to build a roster to compete with LA, Atlanta, and Philadelphia, regardless of interleague play, let the AL worry about that corporation on the corner of 161st and River. If he stays in the Boogeydown, life will go on and Stearns will figure out the upgrades needed for this roster to compete for a championship. Remember everybody, it all begins and ends on the bump, let's get those arms!
Thank you so much as always for your great support !! I really do appreciate it !! At the end of the day, i have so much confidence in David Stearns regardless of where soto decides to sign. Of course i would love that to be in Queens
As a Yankees fan, I don't mind if Soto walks because we can improve the team for half the price it will take to sign him. The Mets need pitching as well
Makes sense, soto's price tag is ridiculous. I do want him as a Mets fan. But to be fair, i believe Soto is the perfect yankee and built for yankee stadium. I truly believe if the yankees are able to retain soto, they can tweak the roster a bit and be world series contenders every year. They yankees cannot afford to take a step back with judge and cole still being at the tops of their game. I feel that Cashman knows how important Soto is and this is why the only 2 teams in the Soto sweepstakes in my opinion are the ny mets and the ny yankees
Love your show but you say yours Mets fan? Act like one! Who cares about the the Yankees pursuit as " unacceptable" - who cares about what happens to the Yankees. LGM!
Im optimistic about the signing but being a Met fan im expecting the letdown at the same time. Btw what is that you're drinking? I've been wondering. I'm going to guess Iced Tea.
We all feel this way after being beat down through decades of Wilpon ownership. Hope for the best, expect the worst type attitude. But I agree with this dude. We do have a legit shot and are in the top 3. What else could we ask for? If he doesn’t get Soto, we can bet our asses Cohen will go crazy on pitching and maybe try to snag a Vlad Guerrero. Let’s be positive, as hard as it is as Mets fans. I get it.
@dominantmetsnation8156 Siri was a steal. Like T Taylor. I have a feeling Polar bear isn't getting anywhere near where he hoped. Unless the Yankees overpay.
Bro a few days ago you uploaded a video about Soto and you also spoke about execs clowning Alonso. But the video cut off before you said anything else about Alonso. What’s up with that? Can you provide some updates/details about what you mentioned about Alonso?
Your right, i had trouble with that portion of the video. I didnt want to scrap the whole video, but the last portion of the video wouldnt upload. Never happened before. I have to make a video on that topic soon. I have alot to say about that topic.
No poor Yankees. They have gotten everything over the past 30 years. It will be nice for the other team in New York to get ahead for once and be mega contenders. 1986 was too long ago and most of the young buck fans never have seen their team win. Poor Mets more like it. Cohen is going to change it! Whether we get Soto or not. He’s going to make big moves this offseason. You can count on it.
Cohen is not only rich enough to get it all done. He’s also a huge Mets fan and wants to see them win more than any other fan. He will pay what he has to. He could literally pay every player’s salary out of his personal bank account. Lol
Lol, thats what it sounds like. Alot of these superstars are ultra sensitive. Their used to being coddled. I do think soto is still young and he will mature. A rod eventually matured
I figured the dodgers took advantage of the mets waiting out sotof and signed Snell..They signed Snell because they knew the mets weren't ready to negotiate with Snell yet. I also felt Snell didn't want to leave California. . If soto signs at 700M quickly which I heard is ready to be signed then go after those 2 pitchers right away Sean Manaea .Corbin Burnes. Then go after Pete.
Woody got one thing right, cleaning house before Thanksgiving gave the Jets the opportunity to hit the organizational reset again, unlike the Giants. If the Jets bring in Chucky as head coach, although hiring a GM before makes more sense, it may entice VP Rodgers to put on the jockstrap for one more go-around with the Jets. Does Rodgers want to end his distinguished NFL career on this note? Doubt it! In conclusion, I bet Rex 2.0 is a reality, does that bring back Rodgers? Only a darkness retreat with Siddhartha Gautama and an ounce of DMT will tell.
Alonso's market has not developed yet. I have a feeling that he will sign later in the offseason. I have not heard much about the cubs and alonso recently
My concerns are that soto wants an OPT out option after 2 or 3 years. Cohon said in a nice way "Look, we are going all out to commit. This team is goingto be strong. Either you commit to being a met for 13 years or you don't".. so He wants OPT out and Cohen who is willing to pay but only long term. I'm thinking he wants to OPT out then when salaries go up he would jump on the band wagon.. I'm starting to think this guy is a lebron james. He's dangerous.
The opt outs are a bit concerning. The team doesnt benefit at all with those. I do believe soto is still on the rise and with 420 career on base percentage, thats nuts
@@dominantmetsnation8156 No they don't benefit. The players has the advantage to put more pressure on the owner if he has a great year. $700 million. That amount of money will last until the 23rd freaking century when most likely money will be obsolete. This is disgusting, its either he wants to play here or he doesn't. I don't like it,,, cohen offered him $700 million to play on a winning team. This is BS, but then its just here-say... Like I said when he signs I'll get the bag, but in the meantime focus on starting and relief pitching. Snell is a worry to me because rumor says he can only go 5 innings and the bullpen is a double question mark for the time being

Even if Mets don't get Soto, they can plug all the holes quite well with all that money they would have used on Soto. I still say don't count out the Blue Jays. The Rogers family is loaded. I heard they own all of cable TV in Canada.
Soto will be co-heroes with Lindor in Queens, with him being hero #1. He won’t have all the pressure as if he were the only superstar and he also will be #2 to no one like he was with Judge last year. Yankees may attract more revenue, especially in player gear, but Judge will be the one in the Bronx selling most jerseys. In Queens, any revenue lost by leaving the Bronx will be made up bc Soto gear will be #1 by far. On top of that, he will make at least $50 mil more over his contract. The money argument by the Yankees doesn’t apply here. All they have is history with a bunch of aging players. I’m not a yankee hater and was rooting for them in the WS, but the truth is the truth and Mets are my favorite sports organization. Even more so now with Cohen as owner. Before Cohen, there was always a love-hate relationship with Mets fans and the Wilpons, with all of the hate directed towards the Wilpons. The Mets will no longer be perceived as an organization that’s ok with failure and will be trying hard to win every year. Hopefully this translates to a WS win, maybe a few. Soto is very aware of this.
Juan Soto isn't worth 50 million a year. He is good but not that good. What happens if he gets injured? I rather bring Santander, Alonso, and sign at least 2 pitchers. Soto is way too arrogant, he thinks he is the God of baseball. Think about this 1. Lindor 30+ HR 2. Vientos 30+HR 3. Santander 30+ HR 4. Alonso 30+ HR You don't need Soto to have a winning formula. All those players will have over 100 RBI
You make a valid point. Making a large investment into 1 player comes with a greater risk, espicially with a long term mega contract. Spreading the money around to santander and a couple top pitchers sounds like a strong plan as well. Cohen has been assessing risk for his entire career. Cohen believes that going all in with soto may have the greatest reward. We will see. I will still be extrwmely confident about the ny mets even if we dont sign soto
