    Great video Andrew! You made a great point about hell on earth for when The Dodgers ownership whoever it will be when its time to pay all of these salaries down the road. I was one of the impatient ones while nothing was happening, but we have to be patient and trust Stearns and Uncle Steve, it does take time to build a winner and I believe we're heading in the right direction. @richardzucker9985 At this time, the Dodgers can get the entire National League All Star team and it won't make a difference. They're killing it but remember, we came within two games of beating them in the playoffs and getting to the WS. We need to have a bit of faith. Just continue bleeding orange and blue. Minter isn't bad. Tanner walks too many batters. And for the money that he was asking for, no reliever deserves that much.

    AJ, the Mets were a .500 team into June so fans were still figuring out what this team was going to be. Their last winning streak saved their season & the Dbacks choked a bit along the way. It wouldnt have taken much for the team to only win 75 games or to have won the series had they done more at the deadline.

    • @stanfromwestport2024
      @stanfromwestport2024 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The METS were 24 - 33 on May 31st after they won that two games vs ARI at the very end of May to improve their season worst record of 22 - 33 after the LAD swept the METS on May 29th...So, not quite .500 "into June". I remember that particular day very well, because that is the day I called Joe Benigno's Saturday morning show on WFAN and stated that the "METS are better than their record" & "will probably win 88 or even 89 games". The reason was that the 2024 METS roster was slightly better than the 2022 METS team in my analysis and the 2022 METS were 101 - 61. Applying that full-season winning % to the METS remaining games from the low point of 22 - 33 which yielded 89 wins, hence saying "88 or 89 wins"

    LAD Model is the one to follow for success...David Stearns & Steve Cohen understand this paradigm. Never having too many All-Stars/HOFers is the way to go...Andrew, this off-season is far from over and the METS have more moves to make...The other great advance Dave Roberts has made is to dispense with the traditional pitching model of starter, mid-relief & closer...An example of this new pitching strategy is the October 9th NLDS game vs SD Padres where Dave Roberts used 8 pitchers, including his closers very early (3rd thru 5th innings), in shutting out the Padres 8 - 0. This pitching management is revolutionary and a tactic which is the future in MLB. David Stearns recognizes this advancement and is stacking the METS pitching staff accordingly...Meanwhile, on the offensive side, the METS are actively pursuing Vladdy Jr in trade and will sign Pete Alonso before Opening Day and adding another bat or two beyond Valddy & Pete...I actually think that once the METS full roster is set by Opening Day, plus whatever adjustments are made at the Trade Deadline mid-season, the METS can not only compete with LAD, but could well be the NL representative in the 2025 World Series

    MLB needs a cap in how much money can be deferred and it should also be intertwined with international pool money, essentially with the Dodgers having $0 for Sasaki. As far as losing prospects (because of free agents with QOs), they don’t care because they have Japan as their AAAA system.
