Hi everyone!
I wanted to make this video of my B8 S4 to help provide another option of an exhaust system for those with this engine (Supercharged 3.0L).
The system consists of a Magnaflow 11386 in place of the baby resonator, a non-resonated x-pipe in place of the center resonator, rear muffler deletes, and all piping is 2.5 inch.
Also, if you were wondering how LOUD the supercharger whine is from the ROC EURO intake and want it LOUD then you better watch this video!

I love Audi superchargers so much!! Your car sounds insane man. Choosing between an S4 and a MK7 GTI currently. It's a super tough choice for me.
Both a good cars. 👍 I personally always wanted to try a supercharged car so I got the b8 s4.
And I was deciding between a F30 335i and the b8 s4.
I came from two mk7 gtis, well a mk7, and mk7.5. The mk7 blew up at 400 miles, and the mk7.5 had a transmission issue where it would stall with the clutch pushed in. I bought my b8.5 s4 with 37k miles for 25k, the price of a new gti. Totally worth it
I did something similar in the fall. Front small Res removed, 11385 replacing center res, but kept stock mufflers. Had my first road trip and the added sound did kinda bug me after a few hrs but it wasn't too bad. So glad I kept stock mufflers. 75mph in my car is kinda annoying even with my passive setup. $400 in all, definitely like this route versus raspy $2k exhausts

@@cjscarcollection18 How long did you have it? Anything you'd say to look out for? Did you considering painting or wrapping it. that audi I said I went to look out ended up being a dud. It had like a dead spot on the throttle between 500rpm and 900. Also never told me it wasn't inspected. Needed breaks and rotors just to pass.
@@eli7565 I had it for 2 years. I did consider wrapping it and thought I would have kept it longer but I just couldnt resist wanting a B7 RS4 so I sold it and bought one. Thruthfully just look at the usual(leaks, clutch or dgs service, maintenance history, etc...) My b8 was really well maintained and I didnt have any major issues with it other then a clutch slave cylinder failure. Other than that it was a great reliable car.
This reminds of the b5 s4 exhaust which is exactly what I want. How loud would you say it is? Awe track or touring loud?
Nice work! This is basically the same as what the polo performance exhaust consisted of, but they made J pipes at the end to kill the drone. Another option is to put a 2nd 11386 where you have your 2nd xpipe and that should limit the drone as well
Ahhhh I see. Hmmmm will consider that extra option in the future.
S60RGT would having 2 11386 be more of a deep exhaust sound?
I was think of doing a X pipe instead of the baby resonators and a 11386 magnaflow in replace of center resonator, and deleting the factory exhaust in the rear,

Nice, you should get an S4. These platforms are so much fun! Truthfully, a tune is the best bang for the money. But I think suspension upgrades are also the next best. Exhaust and intake is more for sound but also makes driving more fun IMO.

Thanks! There is definetly some noticiable drone but doesnt bother me and isn't as bad as my previous B7 S4 that was fully straight piped. I'm planning to and will try my best to get some in cabin videos 👍
Sounds awesome but how do you rev so high? aren't B8 and B8.5 set on a 3500 soft limiter if your're in park or neutral? Tuned?
Yes, this one was APR tuned.

Its has been great! Its my daily driver. Havn't had any issues with this setup.
Yes there is drone and its not too bad imho. I had worst in my old straight pipe b7 s4. I'm planning to try and get a video of the drone when it stops raining and warms up a little bit here.
sounds great! any drone in the cabin? I have the 11385 with muffler deletes and the drone is just too much, wife and kids do not approve! wondering if the 2nd xpipe makes that much of a difference
Thanks! Unfortunately there is still drone in the cabin. I think mufflers would more help with the drone rather than another x-pipe. I opted for 2 x-pipe to get rid of rasp and that was more of my target to get rid of rasp. I've had worst drone in my b7 s4 so it doesnt really bother me on my b8.

Nice! Yea drone should definitely be less noticeable with baby resonators in. Those resonators help reduce volume and noises of sorts.
Any resonator/muffler on these cars leads to the rasp, just get rid of the resonatorsand try a j pipe set up

@Jack Daddy Hey so this setup still had the stock downpipes. The baby resonators that were in the stock downpipes were replaced with the Magnaflow 11386. The setup was cut and began near the flex pipe in the stock downpipe. The 2.5 inch piping was provided by the Muffler shop I took it too 👍

This sounds really good my dude, but how bad is the drone? Sounds like a manual too, which I have nothing but love for, but have been told, tends too drone a lot less than DSG at lower rpm.

Hey man I plan to do a similar setup to this with j-pipes to replicate the polo exhaust. Where did you find your exhaust tips and what size are they?
I actually found the tips at a local Automotive race shop here. They are 3.5 inch. But I'm thinking about changing them sometime in the future probably.

Thanks! I had this setup for 2 years and 30k miles and it was still intact. Also, I was only stage 1, no launch control and no burble tune. Didn't abuse the car and didn't track the car. It was a daily.👍

So, actually got this done. Car sounds great but I'm getting a ton of vibration after getting this done. Im certain its because of the install but curious if you noticed any vibrations after getting this setup.
Hmmmmm vibration all the time or only during certain RPM range?
@@cjscarcollection18 The vibration can be felt slightly at idle but mainly between 1800-2300rpm where it drones. I've had the car back once, they did something that helped a bit but its back to how it was before. Definitely seems to be something they did wrong

@@cjscarcollection18 Oh you'd know for sure trust me lol, its not something you could ignore or try to see if its there or not, its that bad. I do understand that you'd get some vibration from the tone/frequency at those rpms but this is vibration from something touching the exhaust so its just amplified from the droning.
Is your Magnaflow 11386 still holding up? Many have reported packing material blowing out and sound changing/increasing drone
Yes still holding up. Havnet really noticed any changes in sound. I'll probably check/tap sometime later on the Magnaflow piece
Any changes you would make or regret rear muffler delete? Considering this setup some guys do the same but keep rear mufflers

I didn't want to reduce noise and still wanted volume. Drone is noticiable. Doesnt bother me. I had worse drone in my fully straight piped b7 s4 before.

Definetly will. B8 and B8.5 S4 exhaust setup is practically the same. If you'd like my setup, you would just need to purchase the magnaflow 11386 and a non-resonated x-pipe and have them welded in.

Also what's it like a crusing speeds in the higher gears does it drone or is it rather tame?
@@alexprudence4952 there is noticeable drone but not unbearable IMHO. I used to have a fully decatted 2.5inch straight piped b7 s4 and the drone was much louder.

Do you have any mods to the supercharger or did the custom exhaust make it more aggressive?
Supercharger is all stock. Just have an APR Stage 1 Tune, ROC Euro intake and the custom exhaust.
Why did you decide on an x pipe instead of straight piping the rest? Does it add to the deep sound?
Wanted to get rid of rasp. Sound of x pipes in my experience is more refined.

@@steve-ov6wq have not seen any B8 owners do an H pipe. H pipe is more for sound. Most likely deeper and a little louder. I had an H pipe on my old B7 S4 and I liked it a lot but that was also because of the V8.

Its definitely present. Not crazy though. No complaints from the GF or kid. Planning to do a video soon somehow of the drone haha
Did you notice any changes in power?
Don't really notice power changes with exhaust modification. The tune was for sure noticeable.

No they are pretty quite stock. I had a ROC Euro intake in this video 👍

@@soulchain247 I got the xpipe online too. I posted the link in the description. I need to update it though cause the sizing in the link changed. My setup is all 2.5. But the xpipe I have in the link doesn't have a 2.5in one anymore.
Yea stock piping is 2.25

I would say it is as loud or a tad louder than the AWE track
