Best Audi S4 Exhaust Setup

- This is my 2010 B8 Audi S4, the exhaust has the small front resonators replaced with a Magnaflow 11385 resonator and basically straight pipe the rest of the exhaust. The large middle resonator is deleted and mufflers deleted to quad 4 inch tips. This setup is achievable on the B8/8.5 model and on most 3.0 supercharged Audi sub models not just the S4. I previously had a AWE Track Exhaust and have herd other setups such as the Milltek system and found this custom setup to be the best by far.

dont know if you still have the car, but I got a tip... If you move that Magnaflow 11385 to where the big resonator was, you will have ZERO drone. another option... If you put a Magnaflow 11385 where the big res was (2X Magnaflow 11385), you will have ZERO rasp. This was my set up

I have a 2014 S5 and straight piped the baby resonators up front. The sound was kind of like a tin can but had no drone. I deleted the rear mufflers and on the outside it sounds very nice but the inside is unbearable. It drones a lot and gives me a headache. I’m thinking of just putting it all back to stock unless you have another option that you know would work to get a good sound but no drone inside for my car. Let me know, thanks!
Hi Daniel, ive a 2005 S4 b6 cabriolet quattro automatic and bought the magnaflow 11385 to replace the resonator's x2 then the mufflers … theres no where to fit that 11385 box as the driveshaft goes straight through the middle of the car … i'm guessing the saloon has the same set set up so where and how can i fit the 11385 please … was at the garage today on ramps and complete waste of time 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️. Can you help me out please, cheers, Ken

Nice man! have the exact same intake and exhaust setup at yours except 3.5 inches tips, and mine is also 6mt. After single pulley the supercharger whine got louder.

@@jamesanderson6940 theres a decent amount of drone with this setup. the muffler delete gives you drone.

Anyone know a good exhaust setup for a s4 b7
Anyone try making a resonated xpipe to replace the stock resonator with a single 2 1/2 vibrant bottle and 2x 2 1/2 inlet to dual 2 1/4 outlet y pipes? I've priced it out to $135 and I'm about to pull the trigger but I wanna hear a similar setup first
How does yours sound so tame? I have a 11386 with my stock 2.25 inch piping, center muffler delete and my rear mufflers deleted. Still sounds nice but its so much more aggressive than this

Sounds perfect buddy, nice job, i just bought the 11386 to fit to the custom milltek 2.5” true straight through (no H or X pipe) system it came with to replace the twin resonators as sounds crock, its too loud and sounds of pipe, its not nice :(

In process of doing this set up on my 2012. Recently blew out my stock down pipe resonators. The 11385 can drop in replace those? Also I have the 034 xpipe kit.
Any issues when you do a smog test?

Just curious if your still running this exhaust setup ? I'm thinking of going AWE touring exhaust system with resonator Downpipes but do like the sound of your audi.
Sold the car about a year ago but had the AWE setup in before this and found it too quiet. Never had downpipes on though so can't speak to that

How did you fit the 11385 with this being a quattro … on my S4 b6 cabriolet the drive shafts in the way so its too low to fit ?

Yeah perfectly, if you listen in the drive by at the end you hear it fine up front then exhaust once you pass

How would this sound with an x pipe where the center resonator was?
I’ve done almost everything to my exhaust to find the right set up. I have a X pipe resinated magna flow and I’m about to straight pipe from to the back. I had an X pipe to the rear mufflers and it was way too raspy. The X pipe resonator took care of the rasp and when I delete the rear muffler I should get more sound without the 98 civic rasp.
Christian Blazer I have the x pipe exactly where yours is but for the center resonator I have an unresonated x pipe and a muffler delete

@@steve-ov6wq With the extra x pipe there is no drone and it’s quieter at low rpms and louder at higher rpms.
