MFs will get those "slow moving vehicle" signs to put on them, and their buddy just needs a white vehicle that they can throw yellow strobe lights on as an escort vehicle, and drive it right down the street to wherever they need to hide it. People steal construction equipment all the time, here in GA. I asked a foreman whose employer I was installing GPS devices for. Either straight up thieves steal the stuff (drive off), or other crews would use their stuff if the owner isn't around, instead of buying or renting their own. One guy I was told, stole a dozer from his own company. They found it years later at his house, surrounded by a large acreage of trees. He had used it on his own property, and just left it there. I don't remember how the guy said they finally found it. Maybe the guy moved or something, and the new owners contacted the company, using the stickers that were on it.

And about the Corvette being an exotic In Europe, In case you don't understand. The same way you have the Corvette as a non exotic sports car, we have a 600HP family station wagon. When you see an RS6 In Europe yeah that's nice, but It's not exotic. More like dime a dozen, just like the Corvette :)
But If you see an RS6 as an American you'd probably think It's an exotic, the same way we think a Corvette Is an exotic, not cause It Is or It Isn't, but because you don't see a corvette In Europe as much as you do In the States, same way for the RS6 but vice versa.

If I was gonna rent something and then keep it extra time it would definitely be a backhoe over a sports car, you can make 3-4 grand a day with that backhoe.

You handled the situation very well and yes a deposit should be made. I'm a master tech and we don't do big jobs without a deposit or at least having them pay for the parts before we start working. You have high ends cars which can create an even bigger loss, even while having company insurance. Royalty Exotics is an excellent company to deal with. Keep it up.
