    Track 12 from DVD "Big Red Rock"
    By OurDecay Productions 2003
    1/14/2016:
    There is a lot of traffic on this video right now (for obvious reasons), so I just wanted to make a couple quick statements:
    1. I made this video back in 2002. While I obviously never had anything against LP, I was trying to be clever with the song selection. It was a terrible decision, and looking back, I should have used one of a dozen other songs. I very much regret going with it. The song itself is fine, but not in this context. I own my mistake of using it here. So, right or wrong...I'm going to keep this up. I'm a lot different person now than I was 14 years ago, I've grown up.
    2. I will not censor or try to direct discussion one way or another. People are entitled to feel however they feel, but I will not tolerate overt racist or offensive comments.
    3. The point of this video was not to celebrate a person, but to celebrate a football player. As a collegiate running back, he had few equals. He was majestic on the field, which only served to make him that much more of a compelling figure. R.I.P.

    LP was amazing. Size, Speed, Agility, Hands, Power........you name it, the man was a man among boys. Even in the NFL.....if he would've got his head together....sure fire top 10 back. To bad about his issues....I blame no one but his pathetic parents that put him through the life they did.

    What a tragic story. I remember watching him play college ball, and even then he was undraftable. When he got taken, it was not a secret that he was a massive risk, but he did have a great rookie year. It was downhill from there. I did think that when he got to the CFL he may see a way to redemption, but it only got worse. I just hope that he can find peace within himself. Just sad.

      @marcvslicinivscrassvs7536 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Da Tube Not even close. LP was an awesome back in college who ran behind some of the best lines ever. Don't forget that Ahman Green essentially did the same when he got on the field. Marshawn was just on a different level running. Did the same stuff on the field as LP but at CAL. A much better all around player who played all facets of the game well. I think that if LP has had his head on straight, he might have prolonged his career, definitely, but not been better than Lynch.
      My could-have-been-Marshawn-before-Marshawn award goes to Onterrio Smith.

    • @darrenjones910
      @darrenjones910 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats interesting, because a young lady smacked him first. joe was wrong but i m almost certain you dont even know a handful of real men who just walked away from that incident. i truly hope joe mixon can become a better man because of that situation but a lady cant respond in that manner at all.

    • @marcvslicinivscrassvs7536
      @marcvslicinivscrassvs7536 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Darren Jones I get what you're saying. My main point is that Mixon needs to see/hear what happens when talent goes to waste because you put yourself in questionable situations in the first place. Now, instead of being a sure bet first rounder, he is going to plummet. Clarett himself would be the first to tell Joe the same thing. In the era of social media, all high-profile athletes, male or female, need to be especially mindful of their actions, because almost everything ends up on camera these days. One false move can cost you a lot of money (Mixon), or end your career (Rice).

    • @darrenjones910

      Marcus Licinius Crassus , you are exactly right. its a very thin line to navigate for these young people. i remember dez bryant a few years back with sketchy traits at ok state. they did a helluva job insulating him and i hope that these big universities start more baby sitting when necessary. some of these guys arent ready initially, so with that, i agree with on that

      +Mark Pringle I don't know about that. There strength and conditioning program was second to none during this period of time. I can remember the size I put on in college and I went to Central Michigan and the one thing I can remember is always being hungry from practice, strength and conditioning etc. I lifted a lot all through high school but in college it's a whole different story in the winter months.
