Watching these vids are a constant increase in menswear education in so many ways, especially with special fabrics. Every single one the fabrics much from Europe mentioned in the first 6 mins the video I’ve never heard of or even knew what they were. It makes such a difference in buying trousers of nice drape being of really nice and lightweight fabrics for the season. Knowledge is so important in making good purchasing choices.
I 100% endorse Kirby's summer suggestions, they are nothing short of 'sharp' ! Well done. I could add that I also enjoy my DB cream dupioni silk suit however it may not be as cool as other weaves but none the less a 'drop dead' stylish option.
I have summer linen suits which I've worn every day this summer so far through heat up to 46 degrees Celsius and 96% humidity. You can look good into weather. A suitable hat, footwear and avoiding heavy food will help you stay cool while staying stylish.
Finally, some shorts! Kudos. Great for the summer. Do you have any patterned shorts? What is your take on shirt sleeved, polo-type shirts for the summer and hot climates?
Are pleats making a comeback? Some years ago, pleats were considered a no-no and flat front were the rage. I have big quads and while I like the look of flat front, I'm thinking of trying pleats.
So no more pants with the polyester blend..?.. I still have a lot to learn now that I bought three pairs of AE's for work. Onto other clothing; I am reaching out to a local tailer to reduce the arms diameter on my Brooks Brothers dress shirts from DXL since they are baggy. Thanks for teaching us about class and proper dress Kirby; it makes a big difference in how I view all men's attire. Still need to know what shoe polish to use on AE carbon strands...Grey Saphir? Now I am thinking dark brown??
My experience with summers trousers, the cut matters more if you want to stay cool. If your trousers are cut loose, particularly around the knee and leg opening, you can wear them all the way up to 90 and stay cool. Slim fit anything, even shorts, will make you sweaty and hot.
Dear Kirby, Could you please explain what difference it makes when one goes for forward facing pleats and backward facing pleats? Greetings from Germany
Hi, while i was looking the video i noticed the beautiful brown/black Oxford behind you, ( near to the red ones) can you please tell me what brand are they? I'm really in love with those
Kirby I have a question. I can see that you have chosen a different pocket style in the trousers than people would normally wear. What is that style called? Thank you for answering me😊
Thank you, clear and informative. Are you aware of trousers that blend cotton and linen? I find this blend very appropriate for polos shirts in summer.
Any chance on suggestions/a video for the 'bigger' kind of guy? I'm not gigantic, but fairly tall and stocky with a bit more in the engine room (gut) and as we get to Australian summer, I heat up like a roast over a fire! My usual work attire are polo shirts that are sweat proof sports material that doesn't show up sweat marks. Would be nice to class up my every day work attire a bit. Thanks and love your videos! Cheers.
You might be surprised just how much cooler you get when you lose fat. I used to be nearly 100kg, now I'm down to 70ish, and Australian summers are much more bearable.

One thing that really caught my eye in the video was the pair of emerald green suade shoes

Allways informative and never Arrogant. Thankyou Kirby

Great tip!
As always, very informative and offering great insight to the culture and style of classic menswear.
This video came right on time. Great. 👍

Just ordered 3 pair of shorts from Divij and I can't wait to get them! Three shorts, three shirts, one jacket!
Looking sharp as always Kirby!
What kind of shoes would you wear with these shorts? Limited to only loafers, espadrilles, with no-show socks?

Don’t forget bamboo, Kirby. There are some really good cloths now appearing in that fibre.
Durability is still an issue.
Hey Kirby, have you ever considered cargo dress pants?
4 front flap pockets!
🤣

This stuff is beyond fancy. How do you even go out in these without worrying about a single stain ruining them forever

Did you have those trousers line ?
I have bought brown trousers similar to these how could I style them
Are the side tabs just an aesthetic addition with the trousers, given that they are cut for braces?
Well. I'm first. Nice video man.
Hey Kirby, what Jazz track is that?
Never knew some people wear suits during summer. Unless it's silky!😂
I live in Arizona so this is practically year round lol
I am trying to find my dads old bally oxblood suit shoes what can i do ?
I love seersucker during the summer.

Your tie seems a bit long.
No cotton Seersucker?💙🤍
Thanks.
While I love a Kirby video, this seems a bit late considering summer is about to end
Don’t worry, summer will be back
Or you could just use shorts and t-shirt for much cheaper price and more comfortable
I sweat alot. So as much as it looks good...it doesn't work for me sadly
The thumbnail of this video should have said "stay cool while being hot". You won't change my mind
The plural of pair is pairs.
Can you reply to DMS please , great video as always ⚛️
The only American who says "trousers".
