I am so excited for you Kika...you talk about that book all you want to. I'll be first in line to purchase it! I've already knitted your hat and will be knitting a couple of the sweaters when your book is released. Love from Florida...patti 💞💞💞
Just found your channel. I haven’t knitted in almost 30 years but you’ve sparked a desire to start again. My two favorites are the striped and Juki sweater. Thank you for sharing! Look forward to seeing your book.
I was a knitter many moons ago.... My first sweater was a crop Aran sweater..took me a year..but I still get many compliments when I wear it...but time takes over ur life ....but when I saw ur wedding dress video..and said...WOW!.🤡....and all those inspirations came back to knit again...and now ur publishing a book !!..You should sell signed copies....I'll be first in line!! Thanks for waking up my inspiration 👏👏
As someone with broad shoulders I really appreciate the raglan and drop shoulder style of these beautiful sweaters! It's such a treat to see you doing what you naturally love. All the best and congratulations on the book. I can't wait to try filling my closet with these knitted beauties!
Oh thank you so much! And yes, I love the raglan and dropped ahoulder constructions as I feel they’re so flattering for most body types. My Mom has really broad shoulders and always complains about it when buying sweaters so I think it’s something I always think about when making knit designs subconsciously 🤣🤩
Such a talent🤍👏🏼 after years of not knitting I got my joy back I was a beginner then now trying to make my first chunky but a little fitted sweater, my first mistake was to not have a plan then loved one but didn’t have the pattern now trying to make it myself😰🙈 Its a struggle wish could started with a top to bottom but didn’t have the propper items, I need to knit four parts then sewing them together wishing myself not to lose my spark of hope😅🤗
Isn’t that an amazing feeling to stack the beautiful items you made & then inhale the familiar yarn smell! I used to have only one or two WIP’s ( mainly because I was a single Mom and had to buy yarn as I used it). Now I have about 12 cardigans and pullovers in the making. I also have a bag or two I’m struggling with. I have some memory problems and I find bags are tricky. I just keep at it and know when to take a break. I live vicariously thru you wonderful designers. I’m disabled with severe arthritis as well as heart & lung issues. But I can still crochet. In another life I would have a TH-cam channel. For now, I enjoy channels like yours!! Unless you have your hair up, and someone is staring at the bobbles, they won’t notice. How about if you hand embroider, or use ribbons and tiny ready made flowers, etc. around the bobbles in a simple design that helps them look symmetrical. Ribbons tied into bows (the same color as the sweater) would be adorable. You could make them look like Christmas ornaments!!
I really like your sweaters, they’re all wonderful. Today I was knitting half a day when suddenly discovered your channel on youtube, and now besides already 2 projects in progress, after watching your videos, got more inspiration for upcoming knitting “to do’s”. Looking forward on seeing more videos from you. 😊
I can hardly wait for your knitting book! Your style of sweaters are exactly the style I love!! I am almost finished The Sunday Brunch Sweater! Soooo much fun to knit! Thank you!
I can soooo relate! I love your honesty about having to push yourself to finish projects and actually complete the last bit of something. I have a drawer full of these things! I also love that you're willing to make mistakes and start over, or improve for the next time. Thanks for sharing. I really like the variety of styles so it's hard to pick a favorite. I'm inspired. Congratulations on your book and I can't wait for it to come out.
I just discovered your channel and really enjoyed it. I have knitted and crocheted "on and off" for many years but always seem tp stop as patterns became too involved or difficult for me. You have given me the the spirit to continue. I really like the fact you held up your finished sweaters for us to see. In doing so I was able to see the light showing through many of them and I realized how light and soft many of the yarns were which were used. I have used yarn that makes my things too heavy looking and feeling which I believe is from using cheaper polyester type yarns. A whole new world has opened for me!
Just came across your videos and I am thoroughly enjoying them. I am looking forward to your book, I'm in love with the lace yoke sweater! All your sweaters are gorgeous! I love being able to watch knitters from different parts of the world and to see their different styles. Living in the southern US, I don't have the opportunity to wear all the sweaters I knit. That doesn't stop me from knitting more. I do knit a lot of cotton and linen in the summer time. Looking forward to more of your videos in the coming year!
I think my favorite is the scrappy multi colored striped one. At the beginning of this video you tried on a light colored sweater (maybe cream colored), it is the one that you said that you decided to start knitting top down so you could get the length right. Well - you still had some of those colored pins/markers in it around the neckline. I thought at first I was seeing very tiny colored pom poms. But it was those different colored pins. I thought it looked so dainty and pretty! I wonder if you might want to actually design a sweater with tiny pom poms at the neck line. Soft pastel colors, just a few maybe 10-12. Just an idea. Also, love your accent. The word you were looking for to describe your beautiful wedding dress top part was BODICE, in English. Love your work!
Love all your sweaters and your presentation. I’ve been knitting over 60 years , my sweaters always look great on the needles but awful when I put them together. Looking forward to your book because your sweater construction is the style I love and wear, especially the raglan sleeve. Hope I can work out your patterns. Find the more recent patterns I’ve seen very difficult to follow. Probably just me! Thank you.
Hi! Do you use 100 % cashmere as well? I always wear 100 % cashmere. I am almost 70 and did knit a lot in my life. My first jumper i knitted for myself when i was only 10 ;) My mom told me how to do it, but i did not want to let her knit one single stitch ;) i wanted it to do all by myself. Later in life i knitted quite a few jumpers for myself and two ( big ones!) for boyfriends. And more later i knitted for my children and grandchildren. 14:30 is my favorite. Love the colors! Regards from the Netherlands.
Congratulations on the book! I’ve been knitting just over a year and am slowly working my way up to a sweater. I loved all your sweaters; My favorite is the basic sweater! Looking forward to the book release!
I’m not at all into knitting but thankful I somehow came across your video.. I was captivated! 💖.. just amazing! Your sweaters are beyond beautiful and the video was so happy and soothing. Thank you! 😊☀️
You asked which sweaters that will be in the book that I like. Well, the top down raglan in bigger needles (white) one is one that I would knit. Also, I like the grey brioche top-down raglan is a favorite. I look forward to the release of your book.
I love the sweaters that you displayed for us, even those you weren’t completely thrilled with. I cannot wait to see your book. How exciting! When you were describing the Basic Sweater and you were trying to find the words to describe it - I think that the phrase you might have been looking for is “less is more.” And that’s what it certainly is - it’s beautiful...it’s simple...it’s elegant. May I make the suggestion that you should do more in colors. Most of your sweaters are white or off-white (natural). Especially for the photography in your book, I think it would be great to re-knit a few of these sweaters with some more color in them. I don’t have anything against the natural color, but colors are good too!
More of...? Hmmm... maybe some more accessories (maybe not a scarf/muffler or a cowl), ranging from simple and easy, to fun, out-of-the-box accessories that have more challenging techniques and ideas. You already made a triangle scarf and a scrunchy. What about belts, pockets, headbands, ear-muffs, berets, bonnets, home decor items, sandals... etc? I'm making a water bottle cover sack out of jute twine, and I need more jute twine, because it's a huge bottle, and I want to add a strap too (although I may make the strap out if a less itchy material).
Congrats on the book deal! Wow! I really love all your sweaters, but two favorites are the Yuko one and the one you are wearing in the video - because I like longer sweaters. Everything else also looks amazing… oh that orange beanie 😍 Well done! I will buy your book and will try some knitting. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much, very excited for the book and doing something new, although working on a bigger project like this definitely is a new challenge in terms of being patitent for me 😅
I have just finished to watch this vdo and it is so lovely. The colors, the patterns, the way you give all details on yarns are just perfect! I appreciate your enthousiasm and bright and sunny atmosphere you can make in the middle of dark winter! I wish you a great success this year!!!
Hi Kika, I discovered you today and watched only a few minutes of this video, but I had to stop (I will watch it until the end, though) because I wanted to let you know that your attitude, the way you come through is soooo heartwarming!!!! While watching I couldn't help smiling as if your smile is "contagious ". I'm happy to have discovered you! I've subscribed to your yt channel and I'll be very happy to follow you...also because I have took up knitting after a very long time, so I have to start from scratch. Chiara (from Padua, Italy) 💖
I really love all your projects but the cropped sweaters and the one you are wearing were my favourites. Look forward to seeing the book and new subscriber
I always look forward to your videos and now am looking forward to your book release! I first got the urge to knit in one of your earlier videos after watching your photography content. You did an intro into knitting video and ever since have wanted to knit. I am happy to say now, I have all the needles I need lol and have practiced on smaller projects and samples etc. Now that I have received one of my needle sets, I am set to knit sweaters!!!! Well almost. Just waiting on some yarns to arrive. For some reason, aside from perfectionism getting in the way, it has taken a long time to gather my supplies, well... lockdown hasn't helped so finding everything online takes much longer.... the choices are ENDLESS and then there's the time it takes for shipping. I can't wait to complete my first sweater!
Ooh I’m so excited to hear this!! And yes, the amount of supplies and options out there is huge, but I’m so glad to hear you’ve taken your time and practiced on smaller projects first, I think that’s a really good way to get started with knitting 😀
Wow - all of these are super beautiful! I have never knitted a sweater before. Just socks and beanies and scarfs but this video inspired me to try making a sweater :) Thank you!
The Lace Yoke Sweather! ♥ Amazing! Beautiful!! I'm so in awe about you creating your own patterns. I wish I could... REALLY looking forward to your book. Congratulation on being able to follow a dream. 🙂And thank you for sharing.
So excited for your new book project Kika! I will certainly be buying one. I love your knitting style and your instruction style too you are just so fun and rekaxed. Just finishing my second sunday brunch sweater😀. Look forward to seeing more of your content. 🥰
I'm so happy for you and so amusing that you'll be publishing a book! I'll buy it! It's so lovely that a publisher contacted you; your heart clearly shows you the way ❤️ Good luck with your work, and have a wonderful Christmas, dear Kika 🎄✨
Congratulations on your upcoming book - I can't wait to get it. Your patterns are so beautiful but look easy so I'm really looking forward to getting it! Happy Holidays!!
First time viewer here! I'm so glad I found your channel. I crochet a lot but have wanted to get more into knitting. I will most definitely buy your book. Can't wait!
Your channel, is new to me and I absolutely love your styling of the video and that beautiful jumper you are wearing, I think that one is my favourite. Also I love all the beautiful yarns you are using. Looking forward to your book, such a milestone for you, well done! I am in the UK x
Loved all of it 😁, but I especially loved the brown sweater which you thought was a missfit, lol . 😂 I also adore the scrunchy and the cross stitch detail on the men sweater. 😊 Blessings from Rose Cottage, Schurwald Forest, Germany. Merry Christmas too.🎄🎁🎀
Just discovered your lovely channel having spotted the ‘Everything I knitted in 2021’ video. I love knitting but can never find decent patterns, so to know you actually designed your gorgeous sweaters - and with a book coming out at the end of the year, is amazing. I’m not a fan of mohair though as it made me itch like crazy (never heard of silk mohair), so I hope there are alternatives. I will look out for your book (congratulations!) and I’m now subscribed 😊🇬🇧
Beautiful! I especially love the popcorn sweater (first of second your showed), the stripe sweater, the lacey yoke sweater and the socks. Hope the socks are included in your book. I'll be looking for it.
Portugal beach 🤩🤩. I learn how to knitt from a German/Finish friend she us lovely, this Autumn but next year I will go ti the beach and make some stuff too. Thanks for the idea. I am portuguese btw 🥰

😩 your “failed” brushed alpaca knit was one of my favorites. I like that it’s not a super perfect or traditional sweater. I really love it.
I just started knitting again because of you....everything you touch is magic...Merry Christmas my friend so far away...xxoo Sues & Dez
Ooh that makes me so delighted! 😀
I can hardly wait for your knitting book! Your style of sweaters are exactly the style I love!! I am almost finished The Sunday Brunch Sweater! Soooo much fun to knit! Thank you!

Love the vibrant “scrap yarn” little wonder. Congratulations on the book!!🥢❤
Congratulations on your book deal! I'm not much of a knitter but I still enjoy your channel and I re-watch your photography videos. Good luck

I wish I could knit all those projects in one year! Beautiful.
I am trying to start knitting again. It's been too many years.
Your knitting is exquisite. They all look lustrous and modern😊
I love the Sunday Brunch sweater and will love to try that
