Does anyone remember that one prank David did about his friends pretending to be robbers? It was one of his first vlogs. They staged a robbery and made one of their friends hide in a cabinet. She was crying and visibly traumatized and after that she was never shown in the videos again. I don’t know what happened to the video or if that vlog is still up, but there was always something really off putting about that prank.
She probably told them she was upset and didn't like the prank and kicked her off.

I guess I understand why so many people dislike Trisha and don’t trust her. But, I think that’s because it’s hard for people to accept that MAYBE a lot of the criticism about her is based in a lot of sexism and black and white thinking and that maybe she isn’t always “playing victim”. Personally I’ve always felt Trish is misunderstood and misrepresented in a male dominated online space. Not to say she hasn’t said and done misinformed and ignorant things before. But - we have to make space for the people in the grey areas because most of america is. Ethan is smart and he can handle himself around trish. Y’all need to put the energy you spend on hating trish because it’s easy to hate her and use it to cancel someone actually fucking abusive and harmful. If he went along with everything i’m sure he would continue to get benefits but he sacrificed even the lowest of benefits from someone as big as David simply to stay true to himself and not only that he went to a prominately black community, faces the harsh backlash which is intense as ever in the climate right now, found his place and expressed genuine distress about what he allowed to happen in the name of “comedy”. fuck off

My mom's always felt that basically no pranks are funny, and descriptions of what happened with David make me inclined to agree with her.
Having something be a "prank" doesn't make it ok. Where's the line? Hiding in someone's hotel room and filming them naked? Setting someone up to get assaulted more than once? What's the joke? What is even suppose to be funny about this?
You see people laughing and smiling when it's all revealed, but it's probably just because of the pressure. If someone's laughing, waving a camera in your face, and basically putting you in a situation where if you don't laugh along you're a stuck up killjoy you're probably going to laugh along.

When David leaned forward and started screaming in Trisha's face right after gaslighting her, it triggered my PTSD to the point where I started sobbing uncontrollably and had to take a break from watching this. People like David terrify me.

Listening to his podcast I don't believe he would just keep doing it if they tell him not to. I've heard multiple times on the podcast when he says something mean/funny and the realizing that it was too far and saying sorry or "I'm just kidding, you're great" or something like that. Watching the clip of that guy hitting on Trisha was a little triggering. He was so aggressive and just ambushed her. You can see her body language and her 'on' persona come on like her walls coming up, especially when the camera came out. She knows she has to play along or lose the relationship she wants because they conditioned her to that behavior so they can use the 'look she was laughing and joking right along with us' defense. It just makes me die a little on the inside to watch that happen to somebody...
I think we all need to remember the majority of people who are decrediting maybe young adults who have no perpective.
Fr it really makes me sad he hasn't addressed and/or apologized for anything. I am a huge fan of his but the longer it goes on the less i want to keep watching/ listening to his videos/podcast.
Honestly, I don’t think AB really messed up that bad. The general rule of thumb is that there’s three sides to every story, and in this case, Trishas side, David’s side, and the truth. And he was essentially acknowledging that when he was pushing back on their heat towards David when they are racking up people who are against him without ever hearing David’s side. That’s not actually wrong, it’s logical. While these stories are concerning and David is no hero or innocent Angel, I don’t think AB was intending to victim shame, he was just saying to be fair. There’s a reason why law enforcement goes through extensive interviews on all sides when investigating, because everything we experience can be warped by our own perspective and biases. And if these people have been personally hurt by David, they are more likely to retell these stories different than they would have before they left. I think he was merely saying that these people in David’s crew may have not always had the best intentions either. And both “David being a douche” and “these folks are chasing clout” can both be true.

I think it's just the fact we all see it as a joke and it doesn't fade us that it's S.A. We see everyone laughing so we laugh as well. Not knowing the other person is uncomfortable before it goes to another clip.
